I have an underwater room I suggest getting a few underwater creatures to decorate with and then keep the light off and turn the light on the creatures tanks. Looks so cool!
I loved the kitchen and "livingroom" (?) Lol. And the glowing moss floor in the entry kinda ties those 2 rooms together. Great work. Cant wait for the finale!

if you want more diy flooring, you can easily make a custom design of a 4 square checkerboard pattern. it looks like flooring tiles, and I think it would look really good in the kitchen. diamond patterned tiles would look good as well!
DOOD! don't sell yourself short! The kitchen looks lovely! better than just "ok". I went a similar route as your basement - using that wallpaper and flooring but I displayed my favorite caught sea critters...not DIY though. I love the enter room too! very lagoon-y vibes

i know the whole point is that it's a 30-day challenge, but i'd love to see you periodically come back to it (after a long break, i'm sure) to update it with as much time as you'd want. i'd love to see what the absolute limits of a DIY-only island would be! though i'm sure you probably put it on a timer in part because you knew it wouldn't be super fun long-term lol. regardless of what you do next, though, i look forward to it :)
I recently found out that you actually _don't_ need the regular gears to make the golden gears lol. Cause I used to think the same thing so I also would keep the regular gears, but then once when I got the golden gears and crafted it, I still had my regular gear in my pockets and I was like wait what, did I not make the golden ones I swear I did. And I also had the golden ones in my pocket so I was hella confused 😂 So I checked the recipe again and no, it just uses gold and that's it haha.

Doing daily pascal would have been great for your indoor decorating! Those mermaid items would have given you more options for items.
