I have zero aspiration to do what you do, But I truly enjoy watching someone who enjoys what they do so much which is how someone becomes a master at their trade. Seems to me that's what it takes to be a true legend in their trade, and honestly your outlook on life and your humble treatment of what I would consider fans is a dead give away of your inner being. AMEN on finding what *caused* a fault. I don't have much experience repairing electronics this tiny, but a lot of what you do is analogous to cars. A fuse for a circuit blows, car owner puts in a new fuse (fairly simple, dedicated large fuse panels). The new fuse blows. So what's their solution? *Put in a bigger fuse*! Then it works until the wires burn up, and their potentially simple to fix short to ground has become a much bigger job...
"Always check, to make sure nothing funny is going on" is a good motto to live by.
Louis Thanks much for the educational videos they have been more than just a help to my board repair. Please make sure people understand the scrutiny the boards go through after the fans spin. Because just the goal of a spinning fan doesn't mean the boards are repaired.

Repeal means R&R? Remove and replace? How can videos be live? I would love videos where every move is explained. Half the time I don't know what is happening as there is no reactions Flux applied, hot air applied (and that hot air gun is something I'm unfamiliar with and it must be an amazing invention) and the unique thing is solder gravitates to specific areas only.

Hi Mr. Rossman, according to your knowledge of MacBooks, is there anyway to harness the power of both GPU's at the same time, some kind of hardware unlock. They're both there I can't understand why not try to make use of them, of course I'm referring to the 2013 - till present series of MBP's.

Hi Louis, I have somewhat unusual (maybe) situation with a mid 2012 macbook pro 15" retina, in 2015 it got wet by the rain (long sad story) warranty was void due to it, apple told me they needed to replace the logic board and see if that would fix it if not they would continue replacing pieces until they could fix it. Of course each one of those would cost a lot, so then I decided I would sell it in pieces, but time passed, and now in 2017 I was going to throw it away and I decided to try to turn it on, and it did! It worked flawlessly for about 1 month, until today in the morning when I opened it and nothing happened and also the charger indicator is not lit when connected to the charger. Do you think it is still repairable? I am thinking it is something related to the "power supply" of it. Do you think it will be "cheap" ( by apple standards) to fix it? I would take it to you to repair it but I live in México, I guess the shipping it would be very expensive?

Hello Louis! Recently I've got my Macbook air 11' 2014's logic board repaired (specifically the RTC circuit and SPI operationals, according to the technician). How long do you think a repair like this will last? Life-long maybe ou less than a year? I'm asking that because i bought a new notebook (Dell 7460) and I'm thinking about selling the Macbook and keeping the Dell instead of returning it if the repair won't last long
