I put the wrong paints in the video at the beginning thanks to @jameswestwood3756 for pointing it out! Thank you so much. I used this guide this past week to paint up my Psychophage as a gift for my father and the end result was absolutely stunning. He loved it. Thank you.
Your videos have been so helpful to me while painting my leviathan tyranids. I struggle with anything that isn't hard edged marines/tanks etc but your videos have been such a help in showing me how to use contrast paints!
Great result. There's so much going on around this guys mouth, i love how you've managed to keep the top bit of his head and eyes clearly defined and visible.
You probably won't see this, but I really want to thank you, thanks to you I got an amazing results (Except for the stripes on the armor) though I ordered the same type of brushes that you use.
Thanks for this. Brand new to Warhammer 40k and needed something like this to hold my hand on initial techniques. Works well with me needing to paint my psychophage from the starter set too! #Salute
I completely forgot you prime Tyranids in Wraithbone, and I am going to use your color Hive Fleet color pallete but am almost out of Wraithbone primer. Any thoughts on how much less effective using Grey Seer and maybe a base cost of Wraithbone paint would be? Or would just using Grey Seer be ok to match the final paint job (color wise.)
i love the fact you put the paints up in a banner but when you are painting it and the banner is over the action it's not that great. still, i would have never thought to use the shade paint like that. so nice one.
great, efficient techniques and they look great as well. given your use of drybrushing i would personally reccomend the artis opus drybrushes and techniques of using a tiny touch of water to smooth out the result- look up their harpy video for an example
Hi Warhipster, I've found your videos superb & very easy to follow. I am struggling to get the right consistency when thinning paint for edge highlights, any chance of a video please.
literally the only thing i dislike about this thing is that it farts psychic glitter at enemy's, i just cant take that seriously, considering using some custom parts to give it a lighting effect so its like a big zapping creature instead.
I really want to paint my nids in the "hive fleet cetu" scheme shown by games workshop. Not sure how to get it right though, would love a tutorial on it if you get the chance!
😍- Question: Reikland felshshade, resoning about doing it with guilliman flesh + contrast medium instead. My reikland is close to empty, and the shade is sold out on every site here where i live. I do have a healthy amount of guilliman and contrast medium, thoughts?
love all ur video, but all time I have one question- when u do contrast u doing it at wet pallete? I mean mixing, was searching most of ur video to answer for that
Question regarding the blending on the tentacles - do you dry your brush prior to blending or keep it quite wet after the quick clean? Really looking forward to trying this scheme :-)
You basically wipe off the water so it’s damp but not wet. It’s also crucially not bone dry. Essentially give it a wash, wipe it once on tissue paper then proceed as quick as I do in the video
Anyone have any tips on how what color to do the flame esque stuff but for ouroboros should I do BA red with fire dragon bright like warhipster does for their eyes or?

An excellent tutorial and painting outcome. also, been waiting for a clear tutorial on how to Blend Contrast paints - and this is it! Thank you.
A little side note, I love that we can always hear birds chirping away in the background haha
Glad I'm not the only person who felt this way. Whatever birds they are they actually sound really nice.

Wow it looks so good, thank you for this guide!
I'm just sat here trying to decide on a scheme for my 'Nids. So difficult to choose!
Definitely the coolest model in that box alongside the Neurotyrant!
Really love the look of this model so much. Wish I could afford to grab the box myself.

Or the Army Painter Dry Brushes, just as good for less than half the price.
多謝!

When feathering the contrasts out is your brush still wet from washing it or do you dry it of first?

It is a slightly weird miniature all over to be fair. It's like I like it. But at the same time I don't like it.
Woo. Just painted mine up to battle ready standard and managed not to knack it up. Thanks very much for the guide.
What paints are used? It doesn’t show them on the start
I really want to paint my nids in the "hive fleet cetu" scheme shown by games workshop. Not sure how to get it right though, would love a tutorial on it if you get the chance!
Do you have to use the medium everytime?

Any idea what the speedpaints substitute paints would be?
Please paint the Tervigon! ❤️❤️
you must have mentionned it, but which primer did you use first ? Citadel Wraithbone spray ?
Please can you make AoS Lord Kroak?! BTW amazing jobs with all your paintings and the use of contrast paints! I get amazing results!!
When you write 3:1 is that 3 parts water 1 part paint or the other way round?

@@Warhipster Fabulous, thanks v much. I’ll let you know how it goes!
@@jeremymorse2087How’d it go?
@@zeroireland great thanks - all down to the fabulous Warhipster guidance! 😄
Hey i was wondering which paints in the video did he lost wrong?
What paints it's blured out
I think you’ve listed the wrong paints/primer at the beginning, confused me 😂
Great spot! Yes I have I’ll see if I can get that changed now
Idk, the “sac” looks too clean to me.
Anyone have any tips on how what color to do the flame esque stuff but for ouroboros should I do BA red with fire dragon bright like warhipster does for their eyes or?
Since you're holding the model so low on the screen, your overlay of the paint/brush makes it difficult to see you painting.
Great, with the exception of the abdomen. Looks really boring.
