Woodturning - Log with Bamboo & Resin Detail

- Welcome to today's woodturning project! I made a bowl with some bamboo sticks and resin. Not really exactly as I expected because of the log condition, but it turned out pretty interesting. Under the lights it looks like UFO. 😅

That is absolutely gorgeous! But I also came here to say that, in the very beginning, when you first put the metal (I guess that's called a lathe?) to the wood, it sounded just like someone on the Flinstone's trying to run. LOL

I had a friend that would take the little wood chips, mix them with old melted candles and paraffin and make it into little logs to help start fires in the wood stove and fireplace.

Absolutely stunning!
But what has to be considered with the peel: it is not suitable for food, because epoxy reacts with fruit in particular to form toxic and carcinogenic substances. Therefore, epoxy is banned in the EU for use with food.
