2- it contains many active constituents but the main one is cinnamic aldehyde in addition to tannins and mucilages
3- it's used medicinally as hypotensive agent due to vaso-dilating effect of cinnammic aldehyde , it's also used as astringent due to tannins and of course as condiment and spice

Wowzers! I'll bet that smelled amazing while turning! Oh oh oh! You should do a cinnamon and coffee piece. Now THAT would smell and look amazing!

Gorgeous lidded box. Love your work. I've considered turning resin in my shop but don't know what I would do with the shavings. Currently my wood shavings get used as bedding for animals, bulking material for our composting toilet system or just straight composted for the garden. Curious whether there is a way to recycle resin shavings.

If you made resin artwork you could use it to cut down on how much new stuff you need to pour. But it also depends on where the shavings come from (i.e. does it have random stuff from the previous project)

I bet it could be used as packing material for shipping stuff. But it would just get thrown away after anyway.

You could use the shavings in other projects. It might make a cool kaleidoscope effect if it was colored or had different stuff in it!
