Cute idea, only thing is I'd put a dark back behind it and build a wooden box to raise it off the floor so it isn't sitting directly on the floor, that kind of takes away from the illusion when you see the hardwood directly below the piece and maybe put a few candles in front
Absolutely LOVE this idea! Brainstorming cute, narrow console ideas for my small entryway where we can hang a few items, but I want it to be a statement piece - not just some boring ol' shelf, and luckily, I found your video! Thanks a million for this budget friendly idea!
Nice job. I might have left the mirror in and placed candles in front or maybe a ball of christmas lights to mimic firelight and it would reflect out from the mirror. I did that in my first solo apartment and loved the effect.
This is a really cute diy. The only thing I would change if I were to do it would be painting it white it's just too much white for this room that has all white walls. I really loved the look of the wood grain against the white wall so I would stain it to be all one color.
Great idea, right up my alley in terms of simplicity. I was going in another direction, but not anymore! Thank you. There are tons of antique shops in driving distance from my home.
What is beautiful job! Thank you so very much for sharing. I needed to see that!! I'm trying to make my fireplace taller, and now I no just what to do!! Thanks 😊
I'm not sure it was very old- this looks similar to a lot of lower end bedroom sets that come with the vanity mirror- I often see these curbside and I think I've taken a few upstairs for projects as well
mmeeeh ok but it useless now this type of mirror it would of been perfect to make into a diy bulletin bord like one in gryffindor common room an it still be able to use an funtion instead of been waste.
I will never see a mirror the same way again! Awesome renovation on an unused item. 👍
Cute. I would have left the mirror and built the box frame from the front and put candles in front

Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
This is genius! Thank you! ❤
That actually looks more authentic than any purpose made reproduction. I'm doing this....
paint boards, assemble, attach and do touch up only.
This is actually incredible
Great idea ✨😃
This. Is. Genius. Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant 💫
really like this idea
WOW! Now I'm on the hunt for a free or cheap mirror. This would be ideal for my antique mall booth for display.
So creative
Well Done!
I made one. Thank you for the idea
This is dam genius! Who would thought! TFS
I'm going to do it. Have old framed mirror that I've been haning on to for some reason.
It's breaks my heart to see such a beautiful old frame cut 😭😭

I like it 👍😎💗😍
What was the cost in materials?👏 👏 What an awesome DIY and find.
Is it better to sand the wood before assembling to the wall? I would think it would be easier.
I feel like that's a really specific type of frame, and people would have a hard time finding one. And the all white makes it look really plain.
I made one. Used the mirror frame I'd had for a long time.
Love this project, ive seen these large frames at mostly all thrift shops ive been in, doesn’t need to be a mirror … just saying 🌺
You would be surprised how many of these kind of mirrors you will run across in thrift shops! Offer up as well!
These mirrors are everywhere.
Yes!
😱 I love your 💕👍👏🏆
wow!
Hi buzzfeed
I made mine deeper and put brick wallpaper in back
а где холст папы Карло с нарисованным очагом?
👍😘🤗🌸
It's just a shelf. You didn't add many elements for it to resemble a faux fireplace. Just looks like an oversized wall shelf.
Wow that’s an easy hack ❌❌❌❤️❤️❤️

First! 😂 just kidding... this is a great idea 💡
Third
Ok but that sofa was ugly af
WHY? Fake fireplace, fake ... WHY?
they're in vougue right now and people love having a mantle space for decor
What do you mean why???? Lol 😆 go sit in the corner! 👀🥴⛔
Hated it
Oof, what a shitty paint job
