Wolltet ihr auch schon immer einen Kamin haben? Wohnt ihr aber zur Miete? Oder ist euch der Aufwand und die Kosten einen Kamin Zimmern zu lassen zu hoch? Oder vielleicht ein Schwedenofen optisch nicht genug? Ich habe die Lösung! Ein DIY Fake-Kamin aus IKEA Wandregalen und ein paar Teilen aus dem Baumarkt.
Diesen Beitrag habe ich euch wirklich lange angekündigt. Leider habe ich auch lange gebraucht den Kamin fertigzustellen. Das hatte gar nicht damit zu tun, dass das Projekt so kompliziert und aufwändig wäre. Mir hat einfach die Zeit gefehlt alles auf einmal zu besorgen und an einem Wochenende durchzuziehen. Ich bin überzeugt ihr schafft das in 2 bis 3 Tagen 😉

@@yellowgirl This is a great demo but too bad, the products do not seem to still be available at Ikea unless they are in Europe. The US Ikea's don't seem to have the products. I have tried a general Google search and nothing. I will have to go back to my original plan of using cardboard but I really like what you have done here. TFS

Very inspiring Idea, I'd like to do something like this but combining an electric heater and a high refresh rate computer monitor with a raspberry pi playing footage of a real fireplace on loop, giving my apartment a traditional feel.

I love this ...unfortunately my measuring and cutting is non existent..so the top put me off a bit..but maybe in won’t worry with the edging....had a lovely effect with the candles..even if you had a softer look with led ones if you are scared of real flames.🌺👍

126x35 cm groß ist die Deckplatte und die Leisten sind 8,5cm breit 😊 Du musst es dann entsprechend deiner Leisten neu ausrechnen

This is very nice idea for a Kamine. I am looking for idea. But I realize that this is too expensive. One Birmes costs 99€. So it gonna be very expensive. Maybe one day when I get this as a second hand.

Leider wurde in Österreich das Brimes Regal aus dem Sortiment genommen. In Deutschland weiß ich es leider nicht. Solltest du aus Österreich sein würde ich empfehlen auf willhaben zu schauen. :) lg Sonia

Berlin Berlin falls es die richtigen Regale nichtmehr gibt wollte ich nur den Tipp geben, dass es bei Depot online 4 verschiede Face-Kamin-Varianten gibt. Vielleicht ist das dann eine Alternative

DIY fake fireplace made of IKEA wall shelves and a few parts from the hardware store.
2 lacquer wall shelves
2 BRIMNES wall shelves (without sliding doors)
Strongman *
Styrofoam stucco *
Fast putty *
Spatula *
fine sandpaper *
white lacquer in the tin *
small paint roller
white spray paint * (important that he does not attack the Styrofoam)
Cover plate the size of your fireplace with a thickness of 1,5cm
Wooden strips with the thickness of 1.5cm (I have leftovers)
First you build the furniture together and let the sliding doors on the Brimnes wall shelves. Lay a lacquer wall shelf on the floor and stick your Brimnes shelves right and left with your back to the middle on it. Stick your second paint wall shelf on top.
Cut your stucco molds with the help of a miter box and glue the sides. Make sure your stucco is 1.5cm above the edge of the upper lacquer wall shelf.
Paint the backs of your Brimnes wall shelves.
Trowel splices and screws and sand off the filled areas as soon as they are dry.
Stick the stucco strip to the front.
Gently trowel your stick and gently wipe off these spots as soon as it is dry.
Stick several wooden strips to the upper lacquer wall shelf and your cover plate on top.
Paint your fireplace from all sides.

Ich bin schon sprachlos wie schön der Kamin geworden ist. Aber sehr viel Mühe, Zeit und Handarbeit habt ihr da investiert. Wie lange habt ihr da gebraucht?
Ich hab leider immer wieder nur zwischendurch daran gearbeitet also kann ich es dir garnicht so genau sagen. Aber ich schätze mit kleben, lackieren und trocknen sollte es in 3 tagen fertig sein. lg Sonia

Und was ist das 3. Regal ganz oben drauf für eins bzw. welche Maße hat? Es wird in der Materialliste nicht aufgeführt.
Das Maß des oberen Brettes hängt von deinem Stuck ab. Ich würde empfehlen den stuck anzubringen und dann ein Regalbrett im Baumarkt zuschneiden zu lassen.
Ist das richtig, dass es die Brimnes Wandkonsolen nicht mehr gibt?! Was könnte man stattdessen nehmen?

Staut sich da nicht die Hitze im oberen Bereich bei so vielen Kerzen? Kerzen rußen ja auch - und können zerlaufen. Berichte doch mal von der Funktion ;)
Nach 12 Monaten bisher keine Hitze gestaut, kein Ruß entstanden noch ist mir eine Kerze zerlaufen. Es sind ca. 40cm zwischen den Kerzen und der Decke - das reicht vollkommen aus :) Du kannst aber auch einfach kürzere Kerzen nehmen wenn du Befürchtungen hast. :)
echt sehr schön, es gibt von mir ein like 👍 allerdings finde ich das jetzt kein ikea hack da man des soo auch mit anderen regalen oder kartons machen kann, würde auch keine echten kerzen nehmen, ist mich dann doch echt zuuuuuuuu gefährlich ...
Danke! 💛Nach 9 Monaten ist es getestet und erprobt und mindestens ein mal die Woche brennen echte Kerzen drin wie am Foto und nix passiert. Muss jeder selbst wissen wie er mit Feuer hantiert 😉
@@yellowgirl seit dem ich zwei katzen habe gehen bei mir nur die elektrischen, auch die stehen am nächsten tag nicht mehr da sie es lieben mit den lichtern zu spielen. ich glaube ich werde es nachmachen, allerdings kaufe ich dann von amazon so ein unechtes feuer dafür, wir bestimmt auch toll aussehen. echt schöner kamin 👍👍👍

That is what Ikea is all about. Pictures. This is a picture video! Even better. There's no translation necessary really. Personally though, I would nail gun the trim on for better support, even with the glue. Other than that, it's all there in the video.
Oh my goodness... Learn german, stupid.... Can't you SEE how she did it and which products she used. It's soooo simple. Why the hell should she work her ass off for you? She already filmed the video, and you don't pay her efforts, do you?...So if you still have difficulties in understanding pictures and how to do this project properly you should probably refrain from even trying...
Not sure why the responses under your comment are so critical but if you click the link she has under the video it takes you to her blog where she lists the products. I will worn you, I can't find them at the Ikea I have near me and I don't see them on my USA Ikea website. I do think there are things you could find at a big box store like Home Depot or Lowe's that would make the same thing. Hope that helps.
Und wenn die Kerzen an sind fackeln die Stuckleiste und die Kabel ab?
Nachdem ich keine Kerzen besitze die eine Stichflamme in der Größe von mehr als 50cm habe passiert hier nichts 😉 Auch schon mehrfach getestet. Sowohl Stuck als auch Kabel werden nicht mal nach Stunden warm.
Wie viel hat denn das ganze schlussendlich gekostet?
Das kann ich dir im Nachhinein leider nicht beantworten. Die Kosten waren mir aber auch nicht wichtig und ich schätze sie werden variieren je nach Materialwahl. lg Sonia

Da ich auf DIY stehe wollte ich den Kamin nach meinen Wünschen und Vorstellungen selbst bauen und nicht kaufen. Geld zu sparen stand da für mich nicht an allererster Stelle. Ich persönlich würde kein offenes Feuer wie Kerzen in einen Kamin aus Karton stellen 😊 herzliche Grüße Sonia

Ich sehe da Brandgefahr
Wenn du eine Kerzen anzündest besteht immer Brandgefahr. Nach 12 Monaten ist trotz oftmaliger Nutzung nichts passiert. Weder Ruß gebildet, noch irgendwelche Anzeichen für Spuren gestauter Hitze. Wenn ich die Hand nach Stunden drüber gebe ist das obere Brett nicht warm. :)

Ehrlich: Für das Geld hättest du dir die Mühe sparen können und hättest einfach einen Kunstkamin kaufen können. Habe selber einen gebastelt. Fehlt noch die Gipsverblendung, damit es wie Stein aussieht.
Mir geht es aber nicht darum Geld zu sparen sondern Dinge selbst zu machen 😊 lg Sonia
