Awesome review and installation. Those backup cameras are very helpful. The next rv I get I'm going to make sure it's prewired for one. I like the camera you chose. It save the dash of the clutter.
I'm glad you are having a great experience with haloview. I ordered a MC10 and only received 5 out of the 9 things that come with it. Most importantly the transmitter and cable that runs from camera to the transmitter. Customer support swears I have everything even after I sent a pic proving I dont
MC10 is different than the RD10. Different model without the cable and also a different camera. I almost did the same thing ordering the wrong model. Order RD10.
Your video was a huge help. I installed the RD10 just as you did. Very easy but is there something I missed. I cannot get the camera or the transmitter to power up. I plugged it into the power speaker style jack as instructed but no power. Any suggestions?
My KZ is pre-wired for the back up camera but I haven't installed it yet, not sure I want to do this based on the amount of time it took you to install it. Good info.
@@SmoreCampingwiththeSchraggs Thanks for the reply. Is there any reason you wouldn't want it powered anytime the ignition is on? If your trailer is disconnected so your rear camera is out of range, what will the mirror do? Can you make it just a mirror even with the power turned on?
Well it has a front camera also. I guess you could just use the power button on the bottom of the mirror but you would get tired of turning it off every time you just use the truck. Even when the rear camera is out of range it still powers on to the front cam. When it’s turned off or unplugged then it just goes back to a mirror. I will check the settings to see if there is a setting to not auto power on. I’ll let you know.
@@SmoreCampingwiththeSchraggs Thanks. I would up ordering the mirror and will probably end up doing as you did since Haloview is saying you can't just cut the end off and wire it to 12V. Not sure why. I wish it were a replacement for the stock mirror instead of an add on. It could be powered with ignition to be a dashcam without displaying the forward facing camera on the mirror. Then it would be hassle free. If you have to unplug it to get rid of the forward facing display, you are also losing the dashcam function. Dumb.
I totally agree. Any night vision camera does not do well when headlights hit it. Same as night vision goggles. You turn a light on and you are blinded. I don’t use it at night anyways.

Thanks for the comment. I love the idea of the mirror being the screen. I didn't want to clutter up the dash either.

What that is crazy. If you showed the picture of what it came with. So are they doing anything about it?
Pretty much told me to sell it to friends or someone else but also said if I returned it I would only receive 3/4 of my money back.

Now waiting on the scooters video. 😁
Oh man we love them!!!
Finally, some content, SCHRAGG!! I assume the forward cam is a dash cam you can record onto an sd card? Did you go over the price?

My head lights have to be on and RV connected to the truck so the lights are on the RV also

It was really easy just lots of planning
You can try auto-vox V5, it will make you surprised.
Thank you
Nice video my friend. How do you like the over mirror monitor? I’m not sure if I would like it.
Love it
Nice
Can't find them for sale on eBay, Amazon or their site???
Maybe this will help. www.haloview.com/haloview-wireless-rearview-observation-mirror-dashcam-rd10.html
Wire loom? Nice job!
Yes that’s what it’s called lol
Did you wind up cutting the cigarette lighter end off and permanently wiring it?
No I just pushed the wire up in the ceiling and pushed it down into the dash. I just plug it in when needed.
