It doesn't matter what anyone does for a living. Even the greatest job in the world is susceptible to burn out if you don't pace yourself. Glad to have you back.
The thing about taking your passion and turning into a job/business, is that now you’re not going out to enjoy yourself, but you’re going out to work. It’s why I stopped filming when fishing, it becomes work, from editing, to making sure you catch fish, and then you slowly stop enjoy doing it. Used to work at a boat repair shop, I loved tinkering with my boats on the side... slowly made me hate even touching my rig. Best of luck to you chris. Best regards, FishNFab
Mad respect bro do what ya love bro. Im excited for ya. Stepping away not a bad thing. Going bring ya back hungry and that what it takes! Looking forward to your videos. Keep working hard. Southern Ohio bites been on
I was wondering where you disappeared to. It's great to see you back...and I'm glad you're doing well. I'll be honest...I don't even subscribe to any of the Googans anymore...just you. Glad you're back bud!
SO glad you are back. It sounds like you are in the greater Chicago area still. If you are looking for places to fish check out the Warsaw, IN area. About 3 hours from Chicago. Lee and Robby of Today's Angler were recently out here for a couple of successful musky trips. I am discovering that there is also great bass, walleye, pike and panfish opportunities on NUMEROUS lakes. The larger area, referred to as Michiana around here, offers a large number of lakes and rivers. Again, very glad you are back!
Im glad you are going to post again. You were one of my favorite You Tubers. I started a channel in 2018 because of your channel. Looking forward to seeing your content🎉👍👊👏
If you left its ok, just don't be another 'comeback kid'; & Shout out to those sticking to the grind. Chris, glad u found such success with your employment at catch co and much luck going forward with whatever u do . (i wouldnt mind seein u collab with Jon B again. You guys put out some mad videos!)
Welcome bacK! Can’t wait to have you back in Madison with Lee and Robbie. The fish are bigger. The filming better. You are better! That’s all that counts. Stay safe, God Bless!
I am working my absolute DREAM Job. UA-cam is just a fun thing for me to do at the moment, but maybe one day it could turn into a full time thing. Keep up the hard work!
I'm so excited that you're back! I watched all your old videos and they really got me into fishing too the point that I was doing it so much my dad got me a lifetime license for Christmas. I stopped for a while but recently my family got a pontoon and I've been fishing nearly every day and had been really missing all your content. I can't wait to see all the new videos!
I can relate, I was a guide for 7 years, then stress and the big recession hit…I still fish as much as I can but its not my living anymore. Glad you’re gonna get back to posting, you were my favorite channel by far. If you wanna catch some musky this summer I’m in Stevens Point…
Thanks for the update and your candidness about where you've been. I loved watching your videos, when they stopped I thought something happened health wise with you, but didn't want to pry. I guess even mental burnout can take us to dark places where we have no room for anything, or anyone sometimes. Glad you're back enjoying life and fishing, sharing your passions once again. Take care in all your adventures Chris....
I sincerely appreciate you opening up to us about this. I feel like I have been following you for a long time and I do miss seeing your content. Good to see your face again.
I always wondered what happened with you,Great to see things are looking up for you again buddy! Welcome back man, can’t wait to see what you have coming up. Looking forward to it. Let’s see those collabs.
You were the first fishing channel I subscribed to years ago when I think you were called Chris's Outdoor Adventures? Found Jon B through your videos and always enjoyed your guys interactions. Although Jon B's editing style even back then was just incredible, I always appreciated your more raw style and approach more. Glad to see you back man. Looking forward to it
Fishing is really fun when I get a chance to go. It's not as fun when I have to go. I know this because I was a guide for years. Really glad to see your doing good chris. Looking forward to seeing some vids. Thanks for the update.
@@uwijsmssmsms9925 Do it ! The upside of putting folks on good fish and meeting great people while making a living is well worth it. Plus it will make you a better fisherman for sure.
So glad you are going to post again! I always thought you were one of the best guys posting on UA-cam. Great videos, extremely skilled, and enjoyable to watch! Looking forward to more content! (So glad I didn’t unsubscribe!)
I’m in the university at Buffalo fishing club, the MAC fishing tournament series would have been super cool. I respect the work that you do, glad that you are back!
Awesome that you are back and even better that you are wanting to do it! I have always enjoyed your videos, I thought you were always very relatable. I have a daughter who has had her ups and downs with mental health but she is thriving now. I wish nothing but the best for you. Thanks!!
Never any need to explain yourself Chris. You got me into fishing and watching fishing on UA-cam and I will be forever grateful. Glad you are happy! take care my friend
Dude I totally get it. I just released a video on the time and money that goes into making a fishing video. It enormous. It's so much work and time It can easily drain the fun out of something you love.
Good for you! Looks like you had a life learning moment(s?) and got something really valuable out of it! Take it forward and it should help you keep on your path in the future. Thanks for updating us!
Chris, I am glad you are man enough to take your mental health seriously, and I respect that you are sharing and setting an example for others. I wish you all the best, and if you make videos because you are enjoying it then they will be fun to watch and I will enjoy watching them. I suspect that you are not the only fishing UA-camr that is burned out. Without naming names, I will say that some other fishing UA-cam channels I used to love are pretty unwatchable now.
Bro I have been wondering where you went for so long.. you had the funniest personality out of everyone that they ever hung out with and I always wondered where you went!!
This is one of my favorite videos I’ve ever seen. It was so well thought out and I took more inspiration from this then any video from any outdoor UA-camr. I’d love to fish with you one day Chris!
OMG WHATS UP CHRIS!!! MY HERO 😭😭😭 i saw the video in my recommended list and I was like NO WAY!! I missed you and your videos man. I’m so glad your doing well!
You're the man Chris. You're my favourite youtube guy because you have always maintained your genuine passion in your videos. I respect your decision to take a break to remain authentic. Anytime you want to fish the niagara region you have a spot on my boat bud. Cheers Lyle
I bumped into you in a marina you were fishing in lake Geneva a few years back and you were not filming. Good to see you back bro. Appreciate the motivational talk also.
Glad you're back. I remember when your channel was blowing up and you were always with the googans. I remember being bummed that they chose that tool lunkers to be apart of it but not you.
I can relate. Fishing and filming while also maintaining a home and a full time job can be quite challenging. After so many videos it can start to burn you out for sure.
Yeah for real I have A channel 2 and it may be small but I’ve been grinding for a year too and it’s getting old. By the way I find your videos on new reels very helpful
Chris, for life, work and family, you have to like what you do and do what you like. I be been a chef for 29 years. Most people in my industry don't make it for 5 years. Keep up the good work and thankss for all your great videos.
I watched all those vids from 2017 on and whilst the googan guys have made a lot of money, it's all hollow if you aint happy being there, doing it, living it. I can see the difference in a lot of those guys vids from then to now, they' don't have the same enthusiasm for fishing anymore. You made the right choice. Welcome back.

2016 is unbeatable. The amount of collabs and different fishing was insane
