    Great video colin, a wise man once said " You can't trim your way to a big beard". I believe not giving up on ones beard growth is so important if they want to achieve their beard goals. Been growing my beard for 13 and a half months, Cheers.

    Yeah you just gotta let it grow and let it flow. It takes time to see what type of grow you have. Just be patient and see what grows. Once you have done that use the strengths of the growth in your beard and use those accents. And just enjoy the process of the grow.

      JR Words of truth, Sir JR! This does not happen over night nor does it happen over many nights. Chances are the beard someone desires is the process of many years of growth.

    I'm at the beginning of my 3rd week. I'm 45 and never grown a beard. I have a few patchy spots but as I understand these areas will more likely fill in with time. I can see some signs of small growth in these areas. Time and even more for me is Patience not to trim. These kind of videos help me get over the urge. Awesome video and keep up the great work.

    1 year with maintenance trims as needed to keep it about 2.5-3.0” long.
    Shaving everyday or growing a beard is a lifestyle. I don’t miss shaving my face anymore.
    My favorite thing about my beard is that it balances out my shaved head. I starting losing my hair around 25 yrs old and have been shaving it since for about 18 years.

    To really know how long it takes to grow a beard and see it's full potential, the best answer (that's also disappointing for people who are impatient and can't commit to going through it), is to go a full year without trimming it. That is the only way to see your beards full potential in growth, even in patchy beards. So, ONE FULL YEAR.

    I think it genetics. You can max out your genetics by your diet or drinking more water.

    • @thomaswillingham1973
      @thomaswillingham1973 6 років тому +1

      Agreed genetics and age, play a huge factor.
      It falls under that weird, people want what they can't have, and are willing to buy "snake oil" in the hopes of gaining something they aren't predisposed to get.
      All that being said, you can ensure that you have proper diet, sleep and exercise to ensure you have enabled "optimal growing conditions" for the beard you're going to grow.

    I have been growing my beard for years, but keep it pretty trimmed. I like it much longer, but Luria, my girlfriend, doesn't like that. If it were up to me, I would probably let it grow VERY long. But great advice! It does take time. Don't get impatient. JUST DO IT! :D

      Sir Thomas, I always enjoy seeing your profile photo come across our comment section. I think it would be safe to pursue a little trim at the 1-year mark. I would also be confident that it could make way for even better growth past the 1-year mark. Excited for you in your journey, my liege.

    It depends on your goals, what I would call a full beard takes 3+ years to grow/look good and 6+ to reach majestic status

    I taking a guess before the video starts 3 months to see your true potential.

    • @thomaswillingham1973
      @thomaswillingham1973 6 років тому

      Agreed, I've heard 3 months or 100 days to see how you're beard is going to come in.
      Another factor is age - if you're younger you will be "less likely" to grow a full beard, versus as you get older, your body will be "more suited" to grow the fuller beard that your genetics is going to enable.

    • @FableBeardCo
