- This is the testimony of Queens, New York Hitman Van Brett Watkins, who was hired by football player Rae Carruth (of the Carolina Panthers) to kill Carruth's pregnant girlfriend Cherica Adams.
When I went to the mental hospital and found out people really do have issues. I got back on the right track. Lol 😂

Exactly....because he has nothing to lose. He already knows he is going to die in prison and this lawyer should have taken another approach whit this guy. The lawyers was there to serve his client and not become combative with a killer. It is clear this guy is not dealing with a full deck and to argue back and forth with him is like trying to reason with a 3 year old over a toy. The lawyer wasn't very intelligent by going down this road with him. He is mean and angry which makes him difficult.
The attorney let this man take over every question..he sucked...I don't like his actions but he was very entertaining to say the least!

Malignant psychopath, not just anyone can kill a child and a woman in exchange for money, and be left without remorse. He is also a grandiose narcissist. Shame because he could have been a great lawyer if he had had the opportunity to receive an education.

then why would the other dudes testify against him as well, one who didn't even get a deal for his testimony? the female guard was a clout chasing bitch who wanted to insert herself into the story. he might be lying about being scared of rae, but he isn't lying about rae masterminding it. anybody who watched the trial could see how clear it was that rae was a grimy piece of shit.

This guy is a comic. I find him very interesting. I could use him for a movie-drama. He is an enigma. If I am to write a screenplay someday, I would use this character. I do think he has a personality disorder. I wish he would be released someday, so I can do a documentary on him. I like his strange personality.

I watched the whole trial and this dude put on a show!
When I watch this video, it gives me a feeling a feeling that Van Brett may have lost some points here and may have played a role in getting Rae a lesser sentence than most people feel as though he deserved. They can see what a manipulative liar Van Brett is for the most part. I even think he's lying about what 'bug out' means. He's not completely stupid. I'll give him that.
Watkins is obviously smart, but the lawyer is playing him. He's letting Watkins think he's in control of the situation, but the lawyer is actually baiting him to hang himself. It worked.
There was nothing he needed to be hanged for. He already took the plea of 40 years and avoiding the death penalty in exchange for his testimony against Carruth, so there was nothing more that could have happened to him.
Watkins, is a chaaaaaracter! He wants you to feel intimidated he wants to play smarter than everybody else but not actually realizing he’s setting himself up, but i somehow believe everything he’s saying
