Another great video Travis, good to see what's up that valley and Range, because I've driven trains over Kellys creek literally hundreds of times, but never set foot up the valley any further than where you parked
Haha and I dunno how many dudes I've watched get wetter than anyone else by trying to boulder hop to keep the feet dry and arse up lol ....... or roll an ankle

Cozy hut. Eleven hour sleep! You lucky bugger, lol. Some great shots here, awesome place, such clear water. Wish I lived down there, you don't really get many alpine views like that up here in the North Island, except maybe places like the National Park and Ruahine Range.

Hunts Creek hut is a great spot, Bummer DOC doesn't have the funding to maintain the track. The section from the saddle to hut is on my list for a recut, although its a long list... Honora Renwick and Frank King recently trimmed up the route from the creek close to the saddle to Kelly range, a few poles were added too. I'm guessing the fresh work you saw was theirs. Keep the vids coming.

I’ve seen Honora Renwick’s name over and over in a fair few hut books! She’s such an impressive lady!
