This is how we celebrate in Australia. Whether it's the AFL, rugby league, or rugby union when there is a win, this is how Aussies celebrate, we jump for joy. To the rest of the world, we look like clowns, just like how some in here have described the GK as being crazy, but to us, this is a joyous moment to remember.
I'm from Uruguay, many people here respected the way the GK danced to distract the opponents. It's a valid strategy. And putting that GK in worked, so... It's more important taking your team to the World Cup and being considered a clown by many than being a "serious" GK and getting eliminated. About jumping in joy, every country would have celebrated like crazy if they won that match, it was like a final. Congratulations!
Mate if you can't go crazy when you've qualified for the world cup when can you? I was hoping us kiwis would be there too but we lost to Costa Rica. Hope you have a great tournament, I will be supporting you guys for sure
Peru are the second South American side to under estimate Australia. In 2006 Uruguay said they had ‘a divine right’ to qualify before loosing to Australia.
I’m a happy Aussie but my heart hurts for that last Peruvian player whom missed. Horrible feeling that stays with you for a good while. Huge respect to the national team of Peru though. A Very classy and respectful team. 🇵🇪
Why does Guyana and French Guiana play in CONCACAF even though they're in South America? Why does Israel, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan play in UEFA even though they're in Asia? You really need to get a grip.
@@donteventry.6560 Australians are chill. Which explains why Australia is in the World Cup. And why Australia is the most important economy in the Southern Hemisphere. 🦘
The rules state you need ONE foot on the line. The linesmen and back-up reviewer both confirmed he had one foot on the line at the moment the ball was kicked in every penalty. You can have one foot off but the trailing leg needs to be on which it was. So you're wrong.
LMAO there are dozens of South American players who have played or are playing for overseas national teams, even for Australia (Bruno Fornaroli - born in Uruguay). Peru has never won a WC or whatever, they are easily beaten here in SA (hence they are competing against Australia) and if you hyped them at all you probably don't watch that much football. I personally know someone that sucked at football by our standards who went to the US and now he literally has scolarship.

I think both goalkeeper and the shooter should stand still upon taking the penanty to make it fair for both side! No leg movement should be allowed! =))
So Peru deserve the win just because they had more supports?. Never mind that they played poorly...just give them the win because there is more red and white in the stands 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@@spaznelso8195 Yes of course. The world Cup is all about creating the best party. Especially among the teams who will not win it anyway. I saw both Australia and Peru live in the stadium at the last world cup. The supporters of both teams were great. But Peru had the best fans. Not just among these two nations. But in the entire world cup. I'm not from either nation by the way.
But still doesn't make any sense, the fans aren't playing the game. The players are, and at the end of the day it all comes down to which team wanted the win more, which team had more drive and passion. I'm Australian and I honestly thought Peru was going to win (not because of the fans) but I watched the game and Peru was just generally out played, it definitely wasn't there best game but it was definitely one of Australia's best, in my opinion.

@Mattimus Smatt for sure, but relying too much on distraction and not trying to read the kicker is a dangerous game to play.
