Yes the blue gel gives my hair more volume and fluff, but a bit less hold over time vs the clear. If I want my wash and go to really last I reach for the clear one. Also, yessss a hooded dryer is a MUST. Girl you didn't know?? Lol! I use it every time and it helps with shrinkage as well!
StarryEyedSurprise yes, girl! & I’m noticing it reduces shrinkage lol! I knew girl, I was just being cheap 😩🤦🏾♀️ but I’m glad I finally came to my senses 😂😂
A hooded dryer basically helps to elongate your curls by setting your hair in the state it was in when you styled it. The blue side was left to air dry longer than the clear side was so that’s why there’s a difference.
Yes, the hooded dryer does help to elongate curls (I've also since learned that the left side of my head is naturally more elongated in general, lol), but I have used both gels separately, and the clear does leave my hair more elongated as a whole. It seems a bit heavier than the blue, at least in my hair.
I use the mielle organics pomegranate and honey curl smoothie, the texture ID styling creme, and the clear wrong wetline xtreme gel❤️(nobody asked but I’m just giving y’all combo ideas that work well with eachother)
I enjoyed this video, as usual!👍🏽 I know you will luv your new dryer!🌬 Can you do a video about your routine of how you tie your hair up and night and how you get your hair ready in the morning once you take your scarf off?
Dannie H. Thanks, hun! 💕 I already have my nighttime routine linked in the information cards on the video & in the description box. I show how I take it down in that video 🤗
I haven’t experienced any flaking with the blue as of yet, but I believe that makes sense because of the color. I prefer how my hair looks with the clear 💕
ShaR B thank you, love! 🤗 I’ve just maintained a consistent regimen: weekly (now every 5 days) shampooing & deep conditioning, a protein deep conditioner once a month or as needed, & trimming as needed (about every 4 months) are a few things I do 💕
Hi Takira!❤ Im just seeing your post 7months after you 1st post......I have been getting my hair in a position where Im comfortable being in front of a camera taping "my natural" hair.....can you talk more of your journey in your taping? ....Thank You❤
It’s the protein! Find out what your porosity is and ALWAYS read the ingredients. I lost a lot of money in the past because I didn’t read the ingredients :(
earthangel I believe that depends on whether or not the cream is moisturizing, and what your hair likes. For me, I’ll use a cream without a leave in if I find it moisturizing. I’ve found that some creams are good for use as stylers, but need some assistance in the moisture department 💕
Thank you Takira, you got straight to the point. I hate it when women toy around doing everything else, but what the main idea of the video. You got an addition to your channel. Thanks for the update... plus I ordered the clear, from Amazon. Later Queen🤗🤗🥰
I can’t find the blue where I live, but I’ve been using the clear for about 6 years for my wash n go! Both sides turned out well on yours, as usual. Congratulations on your 10k! 🎉 I was a supporter well before I started my family channel! ☺️ We’d love a visit from you!
Hi curlfriend, I love your hair results... it became more beautiful as the days passed. The reason your haircolor is bleeding it's because you didn't use the ion color sealer. Anyways just sharing my own experiences. Takira your honesty is refreshing... I'm considering a hood hair dryer too. Keep growing...
Kadijatou Darboe Yes! My daughter has 4c hair and it defines her hair really good. In order to activate your curls, you have to be generous with the application. Rake it through until your curls begin to pop.
Takira, I was watching this today (again) because I used Texture ID with two different gels/jellys at two diff. times and I still don't like the results. I'm going to try it again with the clear wetline and see if it gives me a better result. :/
Yes you had good results from both of these Wetline Gels including the Texture ID Styling Creme! l have noticed that the Blue side is more shrunken and fuller than the Clear side when it was wet and also so when it was dried! I totally agree with you the Texture ID could be used as a One Product Wash n Go! To be honest with you, l was a bit turned off by the consistency of this product because l am wondering if it's going to flake my hair whenever l choose to buy it and try it! However, l have noticed it did not flake your hair though despite the consistency!
Hi I will be trying a wash and go for the first time in the summer I have exzcema on my scalp can I use my choice of shampoo and would the clear wetline be a good choice for a first time wash and go
Sonny Draper hi! Yes, I think that should be fine! Wetline is great for wash & gos, but I’d recommend avoiding applying it directly on your scalp so it doesn’t cause any issues for your eczema. I’d love to hear how your first wash & go turns out! 💕
Okay thank you. I need to invest in another dryer. I tried it once and the top of my wash n go was sooo crispy i thought i was going to catch on fire lol.
Aray Brown it definitely doesn’t give the most voluminous day 1 hair, but it’s a good gel if you’re looking for longevity. I’d recommend being light handed when applying so as not to completely weigh your hair down 💕
Casually watching and i heard my name 😝 ayeeee
Kimberly Cherrell yassss, girl! You put me on! I’m mad I pushed off buying one for so long 🤦🏾♀️😂😭
I’m still rocking with the blue! Lol
Your hair is beautiful as always!💙
prettywitty77 the blue is bomb too lol! Thank you, boo 🤗😘💕
Yes the blue one has my curls popping oh wait and by day 3 the volume is everything

@@TakiraThompson also....what do you use on your skin??? It is flawless!! 😍
Do you think the clear is more elongating?
@@earthangel6858 for me it definitely is because the clear is thicker/heavier on the hair.
@@starryeyedsurprise242 Ok, perfect!

You might want to try with a different leave in? It may be because your products didn’t mix well together. Just a thought 😘
yes it does flake. i’m not a fan even tho i have to admit it does define more than eco
mz Kaye you don’t like wet line gel at all or...?

Do you still use the green top clear wetline extreme?? Where can I purchase it
How often do you do protien deep conditioners.
Yvette Graves about once a month or as needed 💕
My hair hates the Texture ID styling cream. It made my hair feel like hay. I had to wash it out and take it back to Sally's.
Vanity Posh 😩 it could’ve been the protein in it. I liked it but I think it’d be better as a styler used with a leave in conditioner
@@TakiraThompson I used it with a leave-in conditioner. I guess it's just too much for my hair.
