- In this video, Tom and I stop by Home Depot... twice, Joann Fabrics and Walmart during our monthly date night shopping trip. We talked over Christmas plans during dinner and then picked up stocking stuffers along with our usual monthly items. We stopped along the way (three times!) to make orders on Amazon for things we couldn't find so we wouldn't forget by the time we got home. (Being an INFJ/INTJ couple, neither of us is particularly strong with introverted sensing - filing away and retrieving things in the mental file cabinet - so a Do It Now approach works better for us.) We spotted a Jo Jo Siwa book that I thought Eden might like for her birthday in February. I'd already forgotten all about it until I edited the video. Maybe it'll be tucked away in the files now. :)

I wonder if this was the start of her health issues. Andrea has such a pleasant and soothing way about her. I think a lot of people would learn a lot from her, you mightn’t agree with her ways but she didn’t put you down and wasn’t rude when she disagreed with you or did something for a particular reason. I think a great loss, not just to her family.
I catch myself watching these old videos because I miss hearing and seeing her and how sweet, humble, kind and loving she was to all, she really taught us all how to be kind , humble and how to love others and how her love was unconditional to her family , miss getting tips for the garden , learned so much about how to grow vegetables . God gained a beautiful angel.
I am so thankful your baby girl will be able to watch this someday. Precious memories smiling at Mom💕
So happy the mills children can always see these videos and see how special their mom was. Thru these Hannah will know her mom.
This year, I decided to do categories for each child: Something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read, something to play, something to do (an actual activity) and something to learn/make. And stocking stuffers. I thought this would be a neat way to limit and organize gifts...
Andrea's voice and demeanor was so calming. She made you feel like everything was alright. Not an easy feat for someone who struggles with anxiety. I have her shopping hauls on rotation regularly to calm me down.
Yes, she did exactly that, not having that around the s jarring.
I whole heartedly agree. The last few days have been especially anxious for me so have had Andrea on in the background while I’ve been going about my day ❤
I sure love this family. Tom, there are many of us who understood Andrea and want to be there for you, as much as we can.
I am so sorry that you were sick, Andrea. I had a kidney stone last May and it made me not able to think very well for a while too!
As I watched Thomas come back in from loading groceries to check on Hannah, it made me think that we should all have someone that loves us as much as he loves his little sister. And now, as I am writing this, I remembered that we do. How blessed are we?
I, too, am sorry about your kidney stone Andrea. My husband had one of those around thanksgiving and it wasn't pleasant for him at all. Hope you all had a good Christmas.
Money saving tip, buy Christmas fabric when the sales are on in the new year and make reuseable gift bags that will last for years and years and are so quick and easy to use for wrapping. Draw strings are all you need or ribbons. We have done a few every year and its great, also good for the environment as a bonus.

Donna Turnbull I have done that for my nine children. Different sized bags and I even hand stitched their name tags to pin to each bag. Each year the bags are mixed so they don’t know which is which.
I am still so sad that she passed away, Tom is doing such a great job with the whole family. ❤️
I think these videos have become a relaxing form of therapy for me. Especially the checking out part. Love y’all!

Life goes on even if it isn't our idea of how it should be. Sometimes the unexpected and unplanned can make the best and everlasting memories. Kids in the home make the magic of th season even more special. Enjoy them. They grow up so quickly.

I loved hearing you speak about not buckling to the pressure to do Christmas perfectly at the beginning.
I've been sick a few years but this is the first Christmas that I won't be able to eat at the table and some other bits to do Christmas "properly"
God has given me the phrase "it's annual" to help me through the season- got to keep remembering there will be many more celebrations & they don't have to be perfect!
(I hope you've healed well from the kidney stone- I admire you managing it all from home!)

Christmas isn’t going to be anything like we’re used to this year, my dad had heart bypass surgery 3 days ago after a heart attack which has had him in hospital for 2 weeks now. He’ll be home from hospital just before Christmas, so it’ll be a quite one, but aslong as I have all my family together I really don’t mind :). The only present I needed was to have my dad home and on the road to recovery

Baby Hannah is such a good little shopper. Landry turned 3 mos today and despises being in her carseat. I always wear her when we go out (which I Iove) but it's a pain when you have a lot of stops.
I liked what you said in the beginning about how the less you try to make something perfect the more everyone enjoys it. It's so very true and something I need to remember.
My husband and I have 10 children, we have "Wal-Mart dates" as well, lol. I love watching Tom as he packs the cart. He must have had a lot of practice at tetris!
I love watching these videos. I think when you have to drive further to get groceries, etc. you are more thoughtful. Where I live, we have delivery from nearly every grocery and even Costco type stores. We end up with way too much. I am still also used to cooking for 4-6 people, but sisters have moved away, and my parents are retired between here and Florida, so I have to rethink shopping and cooking for 1-2 people. I need a houseful of kids to cook for. 😂

I use Apple Cider vinegar mixed with water in a spray bottle to clean window, glass, any smooth surface. Counter, inside oven, and much more. No smell, no chemicals. Cleans better than any window cleaner I've ever tried.

It's snowy and y'all are driving around like it's nothing. Where I'm from when it snows the state shuts down😂 we got 14 inches last winter and that was a record breaker. Never seen Missouri get so much snow and I hope I never see it again😂

have you guys thought about adding a addition on your house. As the kids get older it is going to feel more cramped. if you were to add a big room for the living area then use your living area you have now as the dinning room that would open up your kitchen more. you could even add a island in the middle.
We'd love to, but additions aren't cheap and we'd rather not borrow money. So we make our house work as it is. No one's complaining; we're pretty happy with the way things are.

It's a tragedy to have a parent get cancer. I lost my mom in 2010. Please don't make the mistake of letting that tragedy steal this joyous time from you. If this turns out to be your last Christmas with your father (and let us pray that it's not!), would you rather that you spent the holiday having a joyful time with him or would you rather remember that no one could celebrate his last Christmas with him because they were too sad?

An idea you may to try is to buy wrapping ppr bows Christmas cards the day after Christmas for 50 % off! Within a week or two it goes down to 75. % off to 90% off! In the bigger stores inventory lasts longer! I got my tree for 90 % off! Saves money!

Sitting here late at night, rocking Roman and finally able to watch an ENTIRE video of yours! Hannah is such a precious little gal.. they all are though! Have a blessed Christmas! I have a suggestion and forgive me if I missed it if you already did one..but a chatty video on how you are handling your older kids growing up! I cry so often now that my oldest is 15... Sigh.... How do you parent him and deal with this season? it's so hard now that they have their own opinions and independent needs... Just an idea for down the road. Hugs and Christmas blessings dear Lady!
That's a good topic for a video. Thomas and I were running some errands together today and having a good visit and I said to him at one moment that I've never been a mom to an almost 17 year old, so this is all new to me!

Ouch sorry you passed a stone! I thought for sure you were going to have to have 2 carts but no Tom somehow gets it all on one! Poor Hannah was like trying to sleep here stop jerking the cart around! Men are sometimes obvious to sleeping little ones! Hope hope you Have a Merry Christmas!

The nurse in me worried when Hannah was fussing toward the end about her back and bottom. Sitting in 1 position too long can create pressure sores or musculoskeletal misalignments. I think she might have needed to get out of the car seat for a bit early in the shopping trip. I realize you don’t show us every minute so I’m probably just being overly concerned but something to think about when you’re out of the house for a long time with Hannah.
I don't recall how many times she was out in this trip, but at least 4 times. Just stopping to nurse gets her out a couple of times during date night, and then there are trips to the bathroom for diaper changes and just plain old baby-needs-cuddle-time moments, but I don't take a video of every single thing, as I'm sure you can imagine. Miss Hannah was getting fussy because it was well past bedtime and she was _very_ sleepy.
Its all adding wacthing these vedios again 8mnths ago she thou she had kidney stones 2 mnths ago thpu she had pulled something in her back 😖😫❤
It's just not fair, we'll always honor dear Andrea by keeping her precious family in our prayers.....till we all are together again, thanks be to Jesus!!
Zoe Collins It's heartbreaking to think of all the pain she had. But just went on with life! I just can't get my head around how it was not found sooner. I loved watching Andrea, beautiful lady with a loving soul. God took her home and I find comfort knowing she is pain free now. Her beautiful children will always be in my prayers.
