    About Simple Little Life:
    This channel has sort of turned (inadvertently) into a knife making channel. But the original idea behind what we wanted it to be is this description below:
    Videos on our journey to homesteading. With a recent purchase of a little piece of the Alberta prairie, we're looking to sell our nice suburban home in search of a more meaningful life beyond chasing the "American dream" working for some big company and making someone else rich. It's not about the money, it's about getting the most value from the work I do to improving the life of my family.
    Some preparedness, DIY, building quality things with your hands, guns, gear, and outdoor exploration.

    this is a bea-u-ty-full knife. something between a scalpel and a kiridashi, the finish on it is just amazing. absolutely 10/10 aesthetics.

    This weekend a friend had a fire that causing damage to his shop. I think that everyone grinding knives should be aware of:
    After grinding aluminum and steel for several days, a spark set the pile of grindings on fire! "Thermite" is used to weld railroad rails! It is a mix of rusted steel and aluminum powders. When ignited it can not be extinguished with common fire extinguishers (Dry Chemical, CO2, or even water) it has it's own oxygen supply, the rusted steel.
    This will literally burn thru steel, wood or whatever. Clean up your grindings regularly, particularly if grinding aluminum, and steel alternately.

    Great video!
    Side note: there's a bit of high pitch frequencies created as a result of the machines running and being sped up, perhaps you can EQ that out in whatever software you use to edit the videos in. I feel as though many people are commenting about it.
    That doesn't take away from the fact that the blade looks fantastic though

    SUGGESTON: Instead of putting ur Logo during editing, u could just paint it (decal, adhesive) in strategical places (equipament, table, etc...). It would save u time.... Jimmy Diresta does it A LOT.

    • @Simplelittlelife
      @Simplelittlelife  6 років тому +13

    Крайне бездарная работа:
    1. Закалил неправильно. Действительно, ведь кому нужна эта закалка в воде, когда достигается наивысшая прочность стали?
    2. Заточил, а потом закалил (наверное не знает, как лопается тонкая сталь при закалке)
    3. Химическое чернение? Не, не слышали.
    Дорвутся же некоторые кретины до инструментов и выкладывают свои убогие поделки, дабы все смотрели и «учились». Дизлайк

    • @klugkluk
      @klugkluk 6 років тому +3

You FF at appropriate times, etc. The last part where you were demonstrating the sharpness of the knife was well done. Much better than slicing a piece of paper. I like the rock pattern too. I don't think you need many comments on such videos, given that you've given step by step comments many, many times in the past. A+ on all aspects.
