At least you guys are lucky enough to even have a downtown. Try being from a City like Stockton or Bakersfield where there isn't really much of a skyline or Cityscape. Even Fresno's downtown is slightly underwhelming. Yes, I'm sure it would benefit Sacramento's economy to have a DT as big & beautiful as Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego or even Vancouver (BC) for that matter but appreciate what you have. Sacramento isn't THAT bad. It may not be the biggest, the tallest or most exciting but it's something. Somewhat similar compared to San Jose or Oakland's downtown. Maybe even Long Beach. You'll never reach NYC or Chicago's level but at least there's hope for a beautiful downtown skyline similar to Austin, TX maybe?? 🤔
@@joshuadiaz2330 naw Austin is booming. They have surpassed Sacramento by far. A 1,000 foot tower is under construction there. A bit shorter than Salesforce Tower in San Francisco. Point is, Sacramento is no where near Austin. California should of had those towers. But unfortunately with those numbs in office. Not much is happening.

There is no hope for this city. I use to live there for 14 years. Seen hundreds of proposed and failed projects, after a decade I kind of got it. Nothing will happen in Sacramento, just more houses in the suburbs. There is a reason for that. Sacramento has no industry of any kind, all jobs are either government or Walmart type jobs, the only people that have real jobs there are the ones that drive to the bay area for work.......which is like 20% of the population there. For almost 3 million population metro its a joke. It has like zero corporate headquarters, a fake international airport(to Mexico) and a useless metro transit. In 20 years this place will look exactly like this video.
have you considered this? maybe thats the beauty of sacramento. what you described is a city that may not be for you. theres plenty of big market cities, go to frisco or LA if thats what youre looking for. sacramento still has that 2nd tier city feel, you get a city which still has plenty to offer without the negatives of a major premier city.

Like the rest of California, living costs are very high as are home prices education is poor 34th out of 50 infrastructure is crap roads bridges and power sources are in very poor condition. PG&E is a natural gas and electricity source that is largely a state wide source that is being sued state wide for causing deaths and massive property damage in both cities and rural areas due largely poor service upkeep Its made all the newspapers here SMUD is the electrical service for the Sac metro area and has fallen way behind in updating service. The service to my home is 75 years old and I can not get them to move it away from my pool.. I'm surprised that you ask...having read your post Yah I'm picky @@Gabriel-dr5tl

That's because it is a small downtown..... we have had far too many small minded people running town for too long,and that's unlikely to change.

One of the worst places to live in usa , espcially temperatures but is okay for medium income not like bay area of course
