Yoro could have been a start here at Real Madrid but United is not a bad offer. It is also weird that they let greenwood go as his talents is exactly what they need. You're right, Manchester United has been a talent vacuum in recent years Great work on breaking down these nuances my friend. I want to see Vallejo get some chances this season. I will never question Florentino Perez. People always call his first prject Galacticos a failure due to sporting reasons. In reality it was a financial success that pushed Real Madrid to number one as a financial superpower. He however, is not a nation state. Tchouameni will have an interesting season
I agree that you have to be very brave to question Florentino. Let's not forget, the kid was a free agent in the next 12 months. And he is only 18 years old. Would you pay 70m for that ? I certainly wouldn't.
It's no brainer: the difference between what Real Madrid offered and Manchester United is significant. Lille needs it to bolster their financial situation. Mendes makes more with the United deal. Then, I think there's a critical tilt in the outcome we must not ignore. In the last 6 years, Bellingham is the only youngster who has had a starting role in his very first season. Valverde, Vinicius, Militao, Rodrygo, Brahim and Güler (now) had to wait till the second or third season before earning prominent roles. Yoro camp might have figured that he wouldn't get desired minutes - at least, immediately. His choice is quite understandable in that regard.
now that we don't have Kroos, Tchoumani should not be dropped as a center-back, we need him more in the Midfield role, Well I am sure Don-Carlo has a better Transition for the team with or without Yoro and respect to Manchester United...
Kobe Mainoo, Leny Yoro, Garnacho and Hojlund are the future spine of United. Which is brilliant for them. Yoro pocketing Mbappe at 18 was the reason why Madrid and everyone else stood up to pay attention.
Yeah, I think Romano mentioned the Lille president spent the week convincing Yoro to go to Man U. He doubles the money received for the club so fair enough. But it's cold outside of Madrid. To be honest, the best CB pair for me last year was Tchouameni and Rudi. I think there's enough with the 3 and Vallejo although I'd prefer to see a canterano promoted as a "new Nacho" if u like, as Vallejo is too shaky. Otherwise, Guehi is the best out there. That he wasn't in the Euros team of the tournament tells me there's little football thinking behind that selection. I pay Palace 40m and take the lad. He's also a left CB, while Rudi and Militao both seem to prefer right. Doubt it's going to happen, but that would be my choice.
Yep, I have heard similar stories in the last few hours about the Lilles financial situation and how it played into Leny's decision. Will revisit the issue tomorrow.
There are better Center Back players out there, we shouldn't force a player to Real Madrid, If he wants Real Madrid he will join, Nice movement, Rudiger made his Choice, Camavinger, and Tchoumani chose Real Madrid, and now Look at the quality, and love they show when they are given minutes to play, He is a good player but it's better we don't force them...
We can’t blame 18 years old boy I am sure the pressure is high but we really need needs 2 CB not one. I don’t get why we let Natcho leave in anyway . Rurdiger play the whole season and we can afford injuries cases like last year. Malto , we still have doubt about his level so we are in tricky situation. Attack is on fire but defense is not that good. Also keep in mind we many games and world cup to play . The players will be exhausted . We definitely need CB this summer. Hala Madrid 🤍
Disappointed that the Yoro deal didn't work out. Having said that, can't a CB come on loan? Someone who won't find it an issue to be a rotating squad player. We usually don't do loans, but it can be an option.
Yeah, I think we should consider any and all possibilities. Although I would be surprised if Florentino would go for it. Somehow I think we will be ok with what we have. I am of course disappointed, but not panicking at all.
I'm so so disappointed. Ngl I was so sure that he will come. I think our board blew it this time. Ofc we don't know the exact numbers, but I read that we were only willing to pay between 20-30 million for him, ofc it would have been amazing to get him at that price, but for a player with his quality and age...we should have at least go up to 30-40 million, he was one for the future...I'm not sure, but I think Lille would have accepted it, because I really got the feeling he wanted to join us and 40 mil would be in the middle, 20 is way too low. Also, I wished he would reject them and just wait for one more year and then come, BUT I also have to defend him a lil and do not see it as harsh as you may do. He is obviously grateful for his youth club and does not want to leave them with 0€ and you never know what can happen in 1 year. Imagine he gets a severe injury and cannot play well again or his form declines significantly ...no club will be interested in him again and the chance of his life to go to a big club is gone. It's just super annoying that he has decided it so quickly, the transfer window is still open for so long and we still could have negotiated. Time will show if it was the right decision for him, but I see it like you...young talents usually don't develop quite as well at ManU and he won't even play CL. He would have fit in perfectly within our team. Unfortunately, I also don't see any new alternatives coming in, which would be a huge mistake imo.
I agree with you completely. And honestly, I don't think I was harsh. I was simply explaining what I thought happened. And I also mentioned that Lilles may have asked for his help and that this may have influenced his decision. I completely understand his desire to take the bigger offer. And it's very possible that we messed this up and should have paid more. Time will tell. But I certainly respect his decision and with him all the best.
we been very good with buying talent but not were there agent is Jorje Mendez i think jude deal was much easy because his mother is his agent. do you think Real Madrid will sign another defender or wait and target a top defender next season Jose Sanchez said that the board isn't going to sign anyone plus trusted real Madrid news reporter Jose Felix Diaz repeated it and confirm that the club is not making any new signing. and i believe Jose Felix a lot if he says the club is not signing anyone.
Yes, that is what I suggest in my video. I think the most likely outcome is that we push forward with what we have today. I'm sure we can adapt. And Tchouameni has proven he can play the CB position extremely well.
Hahah. I bet if you asked Kylan to do it, he probably would !!! But my bet is that we simply start the season with what we have, Rudiger, Mili, Aurelien (from time to time) and Vallejo.
Maybe we didn't make him feel important enough I get that, but going to Man U is a mistake considering the coach they have and the morden mentality of the club, he could've waited for a year to come but it is what it is. He'll regret his decision either way I'm wishing him the best ❤❤❤ Leny Yoro
I feel the same way. I wish him the best, of course. But I also think this is a mistake. Real Madrid has a fantastic track record of getting young players to flourish. I think he may regret this one day.
Get ready for a season with tchou at cb. Honestly I’m not sure if the cb market is attractive enough this summer. Should of kept Rafa Marin on a low salary
There was four parties we know about that was in this thing so let's go through them.... 1. The winner Lille...they got the money they wanted and could still get more if the player move. 2. The Player Yoro.....This deal is 50/50 for him and everyone apart from Lille. I think he will be paid more money which is great for him and his family because in football anything can happen so you don't want to pass up the chance to make money. The big problem is he's going to join a team he didn't want to and in a new country. 3. Man United.....You got the player but now the work as just started. Man United push and made this big investment now they have to take care of the player and make him happy because they had to force him to come. This could the best thing ever but a big disaster for Man United and this thing is still 50/50. 4. Real Madrid....Still 50/50 because even after joining Man United Yoro (18) will still be a young player at the end of his contract. What Perez need to do now is give him a call to let him know that the door is still open and they respect his decision and wish him all the best.
Rumors Lille threatened to sit Yoro for the whole year if he did not sign for MU. I don’t agree with MU transfer policy since the club paid 100M for Anthony who was rated only 30M. 70M is a bit high but he is only 18 years old, I would give him a few years in EPL to fine tune his game. RM waited for Mbappe for 8 years but still won 5 UCLs.
Yes, I have heard his name come up in these discussions. The issue is that I don't think Real Madrid are prepared to invest a lot of money, as I explained in the video. We shall see.
The main reason this transfer didnt go through is because of one man: Mendes. Real does not like him, and for good reason too. Anyways, we move. Can't be sour like barca, always posting up that cryuff quote.
Haha. From what I hear it wasn't Mendez's fault on this occasion. I think he wants to have a good relationship with Real Madrid. But you never know. You might be right.
Real Madrid do have a CB problem with 2 of the 3 CB's over (30) and will both be out of contract in 2026. Perez is doing a great job but Spain just won the Euros and Real Madrid only had 4 players on the team with only 1 been a starter and he's over (30). Real Madrid need to start looking for Spanish players and i think that is why Carlos want Kepa in the team.
You are right, and this is definitely a concern. We have all the firepower in the world up front, but we need to start thinking about rebuilding the defense. Very much agree.
I don't think it's a money issue for Real Madrid because Man United is not paying that money upfront but over a3-4 year period. I think they just didn't want to pay more than what they offered because they did not want to take the risk.
Yes, Florentino has very clear views on what to pay for whom and when. He probably was not able to justify paying more than 30m for an 18 year old with 12 months left in his contract.
I really don't like Tchouameni as the centre back option. Not because he's bad at playing it, but because we sadly only have one Tchouameni, and him playing in defence means he's not playing in midfield. And he's our only truly defensive midfielder. I'm worried about the defence next season now. We somehow may be in an even worse situation than last year. On a lighter note, it's funny to see how much United fans are celebrating this xD We celebrate titles, they celebrate transfers in which they get hosed haha Good luck to Yoro though. Yeah, he put us in a tough spot, but it's not like he scammed or defrauded us. And we don't really know what exactly happened behind closed doors. He's an 18 year old kid, the whole career is ahead of him, would be a shame to see this talent go to waste.
I'm not so sure about that. I think Zizou was getting tired of the pressure. And after winning 3 Champions Leagues in a row he probably felt he had done enough. I don't think there is any bad blood.
Because we have some great young players, and Vallejo already showed several times he isn't good enough. I'd love a video about some young prospects that are ready for a next step. Keep up the good work.
I think Lille made the kid sacrifice his dream so that they can get paid….coming up in the Lille academy I feel like he felt obligated to help Lille get the money they wanted he didn’t want to leave his childhood club for free..I see it as loyalty..but his missed out on his Dream as a result..I think Man Utd Drastically overpaid especially since he had 1 year left on his contract….i feel bad for him tbh…if de Ligt goes to Man Utd as well Yorro isn’t starting over him and Lisandro Martinez…ten Haag has that Ajax bias…I think we should hijack Calafiori from Arsenal
I have been hearing similar stories here, and I will follow up on the issue tomorrow. Apparently the TV contracts in France have collapsed in value and Lilles needed the money from the Man U trade to survive. Apparently this put a lot of pressure on Leny to take the Man U offer. Will discuss it again tomorrow.
Real Madrid can't pay 60 million for an 18-year-old fourth defender with one year left on his contract. Endrick, Bellingham, and Tchouameni's contracts were set to expire in 2024 and 2025, explaining their high prices. If Real Madrid wanted a main defender, they would go for Calafiori, whose contract expires in 2027. Honestly, I don't know what they will do now. We'll see.
I totally agree. What Man U are paying is insane in my view. But both Man U and Leny are free to do as they please. I wish them both the best. Unless we meet them in the Champions League :)
now it looks like selling rafa marin will come to bite us in the backside. i hope at least we loan somebody like we did with kepa last year. because we really need cover...
Yeah, I think the club should have waited to close Yoro before letting Rafa Marin go. But this is how sure the club was that Yoro was coming. We will need to be more careful in the future.
Yep, that's exactly what I was saying. The situation is not great. And I suspect we will be seeing Tchouameni in the CB position quite a bit this year. Very unfortunate news. But I'm sure we will adapt.

Man City are the frauds of Manchester.
I don't know man , I think that's harsh. Just think, if you weren't a RM fan and as an 18 years old wouldn't you have been a little impatient for your big break into a big team and a big contract? Would you have gamble and wait a year ?
@@OmegaFares I understand his decision and have nothing against him, but for this to be a good transfer for Real Madrid, the mental part of the player is very important.
It is true that Florentino only wants players who feel the colors of the club. He doesn't want players who simply come for money. He likes players who have been Madridistas since childhood or who in some way feel the club's colors. I don't blame or criticize Leny for his decision. It is his life and I respect his opinion. I have a question: What do you know about Real Madrid ''secret meeting'' with Man U early this year?... It seems to be a desperate and overpaid deal by ManU. The guy is 18 yrs old, may be he's worth that kind of money, but he's still gotta prove it, time will tell. Again Mr Perez is smart enough to dodge this kind of deal.
@@zeondeane2832 How delusional a manu fan can be? First of all , he is a defender. Secondly, he's not Ronaldo. Thirdly, Manu not winning any league title this season.
Saying Leny went for the money when Madrid just apid Mbappe a £150m signing on fee is the highest form of hypocrisy I have heard on UA-cam my friend. Man Utd are arguably the biggest supported club in world football. They have fallen victim of greedy owners which has now been eradicated. So to day this is about money is insulting.
First of all, Real Madrid has more social media followers (supporters) than Man United and Liverpool COMBINED. This is extensively documented (please see my Intro video, which explains this very clearly.) Everybody in the world knows that Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world. But you would have to travel a bit and leave the UK to be aware of this. You may have fallen into Premier League Bubble Syndrome, a very real condition among fans and pundits. Secondly, what does my saying Leny went for money have to do with Kylian's signing bonus ? I don't see the connection between the two issues, which have nothing to do with each other. And yes, the ONLY possible explanation for Leny's decision is money. Man U finished 8th and is not even playing in the Champions League. And the club's last ten years have not done their young players any favors. In the meantime, Real Madrid has won 6 Champions Leagues and turned some of the youngest players in the world into the world's best players. Leny himself has said on multiple occasions that he wanted to go to Real Madrid. His decision not to was entirely financial. Man U is a great and legendary club, as I explain in my video. But there is absolutely no comparison to Real Madrid. This is just a fact.
Brothers, I don't get this Yoro raucus, I really don't. If Real Madrid would spend tens of millions in each and every position that needs to be optimized, we'd be as dead broke as Farsa is. The kid isn't worth what United paid for him, not now. Two videos ago I wrote a comment to the effect that every professional has to choose between dough or a good company at least once in his life. Yoro made his decision and Madrid only gives second chances to the likes of Mbappe. I also don't understand this foreign player snobbery that we're so fond of in Spain. Just remember that Joselu was absolutely decisive in our 15th UCL, as were other Spanish players. Guys, are you aware that Real Madrid NEVER has all the effectives that we think it should have and it wins one trophy after the other? I'm not trying to play the problem down, but geez, let Ancelotti figure out the starting 11. This is Real Madrid we're talking about. ¡Hala Madrid!
Not at all, you don't pay more that 30m for an 18 year old CB who has played only 60 professional matches in a modest league, who has never been an international etc.... He is an amazing promise ... but he is not worth 70m as of today. It would have been crazy to pay more.

Great work on breaking down these nuances my friend.
I'm waiting for your take on the ballon d'or
Will def do one in the coming days.
Very fair comment. I agree with you.
now that we don't have Kroos, Tchoumani should not be dropped as a center-back, we need him more in the Midfield role, Well I am sure Don-Carlo has a better Transition for the team with or without Yoro and respect to Manchester United...
Kobe Mainoo, Leny Yoro, Garnacho and Hojlund are the future spine of United. Which is brilliant for them. Yoro pocketing Mbappe at 18 was the reason why Madrid and everyone else stood up to pay attention.
All I want is Drăgușin instead of Leny
I honestly think Vallejo isn't bad at all. I'll like to watch him play
I think he has played so little at Real Madrid we haven't really seen enough of him. But I think he was ok at Granada.
I agree with all of this. We need to fix the problem. But I trust we will. I am not excessively worried.
Opportunity to have Arda Guler starting more in the mid with Tcouameni at CB.
Yes, it is possible this will release more minutes in the midfield.
Please no. Tchouameni brings a level of discipline in the midfield that we will entirely lose without him or Kroos. We need a defender.
we been very good with buying talent but not were there agent is Jorje Mendez i think jude deal was much easy because his mother is his agent.
do you think Real Madrid will sign another defender or wait and target a top defender next season Jose Sanchez said that the board isn't going to sign anyone plus trusted real Madrid news reporter Jose Felix Diaz repeated it and confirm that the club is not making any new signing.
and i believe Jose Felix a lot if he says the club is not signing anyone.
Yes, that is what I suggest in my video. I think the most likely outcome is that we push forward with what we have today. I'm sure we can adapt. And Tchouameni has proven he can play the CB position extremely well.
After what Joselu did last season, I don't dare to cross out Valejo. Besides, Kylian said that he would play wherever Carletto puts him, so... :D
Hahah. I bet if you asked Kylan to do it, he probably would !!! But my bet is that we simply start the season with what we have, Rudiger, Mili, Aurelien (from time to time) and Vallejo.
@@TheGlobalMadridista the crazy part the board said they aren't counting on Vallejo he maybe ends in the reserve.
Yeah Rafa Marin should not have been sold until the Yoro transaction was complete. This was a strategic mistake.
mbappe can play cb.
Hahaha. that would be fun to watch :)
Yep, very good assessment. Very much agree with you.
Maybe Davies comes in and mendy could play at cb
Not sure Mendy has ever played CB... Hard to imagine !
I heard this as well. Will be following up tomorrow. I also heard Real Madrid were willing to go as high as 40m.
We need to go for Riccardo Calafiori
@@TheGlobalMadridista I think Perez is looking at why would a player (18) only have 12 months left on his deal with no release clause.
We do have the money, thats not the problem here. And wasnt Alaba returning in Octobre?
Latest I heard was January
I totally agree. And I am not criticizing him in any way. I was simply explaining what I think happened. And I certainly wish him all the best.
Camavinga is the best defensive mid in the squad. Tchouameni's best position is CB.
@benzemaballondor3920 And they superhuman, so we know for a fact that they'll never get injured and will never need any rest 🙃
What was the reason for the rift between Zidane and JAS? Was it the signing of Hazard and Jovic since Zidane asked for them?
I'm not so sure about that. I think Zizou was getting tired of the pressure. And after winning 3 Champions Leagues in a row he probably felt he had done enough. I don't think there is any bad blood.
What do you think about promoting Joan Martinez or Jacobo Ramon?
To be honest, I haven't followed them closely enough to volunteer an educated opinion. But I will check them out. Thanks for the suggestion.
What cb do u think we will get next?
I mentioned a few in my video yesterday but quite hard to say. Nothing obvious, I'm afraid.
now it looks like selling rafa marin will come to bite us in the backside. i hope at least we loan somebody like we did with kepa last year. because we really need cover...
Yeah, I think the club should have waited to close Yoro before letting Rafa Marin go. But this is how sure the club was that Yoro was coming. We will need to be more careful in the future.
Real Need need a another center back to strength the defense. David Alaba is is not fit. Militao is also not fully fit.
Yep, that's exactly what I was saying. The situation is not great. And I suspect we will be seeing Tchouameni in the CB position quite a bit this year. Very unfortunate news. But I'm sure we will adapt.
"manchester united is a graveyard for young talents" very well 🤣🤣🤣
Hahah. Not trying to be insulting. But this has certainly been the case these last few years. In any case, I wish Leny all the best.
@@TheGlobalMadridistaManchester United have unfortunately been under the control of greedy American owners who have sucked the life out of the club namely the Glazers. Thankfully Ineos have taken over 25% of the club and are now running football affairs. Man Utd remain arguably the most supported club in world football and are a sleeping giant. Man City are the frauds of Manchester.
If a player is willing to choose money over Real Madrid, then they're simply not RMA material, despite their football quality.
Good riddance, I'd say.
@@rilindshehu96 sure, from the pov of the club you're right .
Yeah, a player should be committed to whatever club he joins.
It is true that Florentino only wants players who feel the colors of the club. He doesn't want players who simply come for money. He likes players who have been Madridistas since childhood or who in some way feel the club's colors. I don't blame or criticize Leny for his decision. It is his life and I respect his opinion. I am just sorry he chose this route. But I wish him all the best. Who knows, our paths may cross again one day.
I have a question: What do you know about Real Madrid ''secret meeting'' with Man U early this year?... I heard rumours that Real Madrid are secretly working to help Man U get back to their feet like they did when Man U lost 8 of their players in a plane crush in 1958. Real Madrid gave players to Man U to get back on their feet. Apparently, Real Madrid were not willing to go on a 'bidding war' with Man U for Yoro partly because of that reason? Real Madrid are always partnering with Man U on pre-season tour etc. It seems like there is a formation of legacy clubs vs plastic clubs brewing behind the scenes, particularly, Real Madrid and Man U, given their history. What do you know about this, my information is vey limited?...
Interesting thought. I will dig around and try to learn more about this. But yes, these clubs have a fantastic and historic relationship.
@@TheGlobalMadridista Thank you.
It seems to be a desperate and overpaid deal by ManU.
The guy is 18 yrs old, may be he's worth that kind of money, but he's still gotta prove it, time will tell.
Again Mr Perez is smart enough to dodge this kind of deal.
Thats what they said when they paid 12m for Ronaldo. Madrid paid £80m to Utd 4 years later.
I agree. An 18 year old with only 9 months left in his contract is not something you pay 70m for.
A lot of very wise words here my friend !!
We have a very good relationship with Man U so we will get him in the next 2 or three years 😂
Very true. They are a very professional club. There may be a way of getting him after his first contract.
don’t worry we will knock out manchester united in the champions league next season oh wait…. they are not in the champions league this season…
Hahahhaha.
Madrid wasted time ,lowball offer
Not at all, you don't pay more that 30m for an 18 year old CB who has played only 60 professional matches in a modest league, who has never been an international etc.... He is an amazing promise ... but he is not worth 70m as of today. It would have been crazy to pay more.
