The massive difference between the time in this video vs my PB is due to a strategy contingency based on RNG in mostly stage 3. More details below...
Recent dives haven't been interesting to run. That's why I haven't uploaded in a while. And for the foreseeable future video uploads will most likely depend on how interested I am in the dive that week.
Build / Loadout
Primary: M1000 Classic, 2 3 2 1 3, Hipster
Secondary: Jury-Rigged Boomstick, 2 1 3 1 1, Jumbo Shells
Perks: Deep Pockets, Resupplier, Veteran Depositor, Berzerker, Iron Will
Grenade Choice: Cryogen Grenade

Stage 1:
Part of the reason I decided to run this week was the opportunity to make the twins a non-issue in this stage. Crushing both dreads under the minehead can save about 20 seconds over crushing one, which in turn is leagues better than crushing none. The amount of stingtails in this stage is kind of annoying but it could be worse.
Stage 2:
Not a fan of this stage. It feels too straightforward with no room for creativity save for one shortcut. Being geared for dreadnoughts definitely taxes the complete mobility that Scout has for this stage; Special Powder (mobility) vs Killing Power (Jumbo Shells).
Stage 3:
This is the stage mostly responsible for the difference between my PB and my time in the video. My best stage 3 delta was a 3:17. My 14:28 PB had a 3:26 stage 3. But my average stage 3 delta is about 4:40. This is due to a bulk detonator being in the spawn pool with a rather low chance to spawn. The general strategy is to attempt a bulk spawn from completing a mini mule repair and use it to kill both dreadnoughts.

Glad you're uploading even those that aren't your personal bests, 'cause I get to learn from all that you do. It's hard to keep beating PBs, I think, when the random spawn and changes to the terrain week to week, so drastically limit what you can do. Still enjoy seeing your choices even when the map isn't conducive to just going fast, and I appreciate your notes on how you were approaching each stage. Thanks for posting this!

The moment the first bulk spawned all those practice runs ago I knew that new PBs for this week weren't going to be guaranteed. Had I been granted perfect RNG this could have been a mid-13, perhaps even a high 12. But at some point, especially during recording, a run just has to be good enough. And I'm ok with that.
@@RyeorReal I still think that's one of the toughest things, knowing when enough is enough. It's funny, 'cause when I was first watching all the speed runs with you and Benicopter, I thought that there was actually a record for *each* week. I thought there was actually a contest for the top spot each week, and that there were bragging rights for that, since it seemed to obvious to me that each week's DD's and EDD's couldn't be comparable.
It's sad knowing that there is only one of each time for each category. I think if there were actually recognition for each week's dive, there would be a lot more people willing to attempt to run any or all of them.
I loved that first stage's crushing of both of the Twins. That was really impressive, and I'm always impressed by your ability to just chuck all the aquark into the slot. It's funny, as Milligin even pointed out to me how amazing your ability at that was, through all the practice you've had with doing that particular action fast. I was also impressed at how you'd memorized the spawn points for all the stingtails. I'm hoping that the November nerf might help you out? I don't know if that'll make any difference. It was cool to know why you got the nitra while waiting for the pod to arrive.
The Berserker helped with that one short cut on the second stage, and I loved the use of the stalactites for crowd control. Also really impressed with how you stuck building the second mini-Mule. I'm always surprised by just how much damage we can take on the deep dives. And it's good to know that the skips are still allowed on these.
I can see how that third stage would be very very different with a bulk. Wow. I liked watching what you did with what you had, tho, very much. Watching you just stand there and deliberately hit all three spikes on the Hiveguard because you knew you could just gave me the chills. *laughs* And the use of the cryos through stage three was sweet to watch. And very nice clip at the end.
@@Autogyro.001 I suppose it was kind of a contest, loosely defined. We definitely tried for the lowest times we could achieve, but at the same time we'd help each other to get there each week.
I'm surprised that I've garnered Milligin's attention, much more so with the limited viewership and reach my videos typically have on this platform. A strange feeling/realization that my reach here extends further than I expect.
