Seeing a company that actually cares about right to repair is super cool! Lot of respect for Big Bud!
But they don't even really have dealer ships so screw that
@@Mygirlfriend3141
they build very few tractors
@@ixydelay5644 yeah but they should maybe build More dealerships
Less tech, less breaks.
Since those tractors are so massive, etc easier to repair on site...so let the shop come to you.
And with the simple construction they can easily pull it apart
@@mammutMK2 so come from Montana too Alberta Saskatchewan Manitoba too repair I Kno more about big bud than you do
The big Bud builder guy is an awesome person. thanks for that interview!
I think you should show Jeremy Clarkson Big Bud. He might like it more than his Lamborghini tractor.
Durham high street
Even if he got a smaller Bud that would be hilarious in England.
😂
Kaleb Contacting needs the BigBud to make Clarkson spit his Hawkston Larger out.😊😊
Ikr
Delighted to hear some manufacturers are offering a right to repair alternative.
FFA is an Awesome program. It's not just ag students that benefit from it. Parents, encourage your kiddos to participate whether they plan a career in ag or not.
Nice video Cole , nice to see everyone thanks for taking us along to the Farm progress show.
Cole plz do a whole video on that man who built big buds & went into the restoration business thanks Cole & family.
Rev. Paul, Eustis Fl.
Ron Harmon from Big Equipment Co?
Some of my best childhood memories was playing in the cornfields. Playing tag & running up & down the isles. It was like going to “Narnia”. I’m sure the farmer just loved us kids playing in the fields…..😂. Actually he was a super nice man.
Nice to see Big Budd coming back into selling tractors that are simple to fix and allow farmers to fix them themselves.
They aren't
That Harrington seed destructor is the way to save money on herbicides! THeyve been doing it in Australia for Years. So exciting to see it.
Love the Big Bud and the story behind the company. To put any cab and electronics on this tractor is impressive. Can a guy imagine buying a Ford frame with the Chevrolet drive train?
Yeah, if they start selling more than a few, you can count on big green to shut down that capability.
They won't sell a lot of tractors
@currrenteventnerd1254 mother deere is already bleeding from the nether regions about this.
"RRRREEEEEEEE customers can't work on their equipment, we stay open because we overcharge for junk" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Mygirlfriend3141you say that now .........
@@winkletown8828 I bet u a million
Adversity made him a well rounded man. Horrible what happened to his company and loyal employees. Bet he is more savvy about contracts also.
Finally a company thinking of service ......... now car & truck companies should wake up and start redesigning !! 😊
Check out Edison motors. They are doing diesel electric with open source everything even technical drawings for parts
Car and truck companies have never stayed in business because they sell vehicles. The money is in parts and service. 😎
Look at Ford, they're always building the worst garbage on the road, but they keep the doors open by selling parts.
Many times when corn doesn't pollinate to the tip, it indicates trace mineral deficiency. A complete trace mineral test of the plant during early kernel fill shows what is deficient. Foliar traces added to the tank mix will help greatly. After so many years, traces have been removed by the crops. As with the low calcium , traces need to be considered.
The Big Bud owner dropped the mic! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Massive equipment. Nice farm show. Never did see you or brother playing corn hole.. Good video.
Cole. It's so interesting when you go in the field and explain what is happening to the corn. It's helping me understand what I'm looking at in my garden. My six little rows. Lol. Thank you.
I fast forward through that part yawn
My 10 rows!
😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t know how you find the time to take us along on your daily activities, but I’m always happy that you do. 👍
Ron Harmon was way ahead in his thinking of rebuildable tractors, now all the manufacturers care about is preventing farmers from being able to fix their own equipment and charging them a fortune for spare part's, at least Ron was and still is all about giving the farmer the power to make his own choices, I'm so glad to see Big Bud back 👍 🎉🎉
Now I don't know much about farming but I do know you need a corn head to harvest corn. I am guessing we have something new coming to the farm?
God bless the family and all the viewers!
It's been fun watching the different videos from different people on the FPS.
Glad you had a safe trip.
Have a safe harvest!
Keep Smilin!!!!
I'm surprised that you didn't have FFA. I had it in the 80's in highschool. I loved the agriculture classes and FFA club. Although I became a nurse, a lot of what I learned could be applied to my career working with people.
That Big Bud is a great idea!
From about 4:30 I wasn't sure where the story was going at first, then I understood, and now I see what he's talking about and I understand why he is restarting. He's got great experience with all the parts, and can build a better product. Just well said. Right to repair kind of attitude. Just so much info in that few minutes
BTW Cole I’ve followed you (y’all) from the first video bro. I’m 71 yrs old,
bed ridden (failed surgeries) But God has been GOOD to me & mine brother. I look forward to seeing your videos man of God working in & through y’all (wife & family) so glad & proud to see you talking about Jesus The Christ more. Being a minister for 51 yrs, I want so much to share with you all the “miracles” I’ve watched our Savior by His stripes preform in these decades of life Cole. Well enough for now my brother in Christ love y’all.
Rev. Paul, Eustis Fl.
Dude in Massachusetts small farm town I grew up and the big bud brand was like a legend. There’s a ton of UA-cam lore on him. The consensus was he lost to big brands and was a loser. That guys not a loser he was a pioneer taking the fight to the big dogs. Everything him and his team said would happen happened. That guys a legend where I’m from.
I will just call this one of your standard classic "Cole the corn Star videos." Amazing amount of informative content plus most of the Corn Star cast was included. Happy subscriber 😊!
Wow. I'm surprised you didn't have FFA at your school! I live in a large farm area in Ohio and went to a school that had FFA when I was in high school in the early 70s. Its a great support for kids interested in farming. 😊
Theirs nothing on farming in the big citys and hardly anything for the trades either.
I can not stand how just unbelievably CUTE your whole family is. it's just so heart warming. 😍😍🥰🥰😍😍🥰🥰
Daddy Cornstar seem to really be enjoying himself and all the attention. I remember how heartbroken he was the year he couldn't go because he had the nasty virus.
Sure can hear them wind turbines while you was in the corn field 😂🤦🏻♂️ glad I don’t have one next to my house.
Great video today, Cole 👍
What did you think of the Harrington Seed Destructor? As much as you spend on weed control, something like that could pay for itself fairly quickly I would think. Maybe some thoughts on it in a future video? Thanks for sharing!
Great to meet you at the show I’m the Irish Australian bloke you met on the last morning
The Harrington weed seed destructor was built by a farmer for farmers
I would say Ron Harmon of Big Bud was the most passionate inspiring person I’ve met for many years
Keep up the good work
Dang! Titan might be a Deere Killer. Tractor you can actually work on, install your own electronics, mod it! Wow! Hope they sell a ton of them.
Titan is the tire company. Big Bud is the tractor type
I'm from Decatur, IL and the Farm Progress show was the talk of the town! Sorry I missed you!
Thanks Cole! God bless your family!
Thats probably the best interview of Ron Harmon Ive ever heard
- these type of stories are important for seeing how persistence pays off.
Designing for manufacturing AND rebuilding / servicing - makes an extremely user friendly experience.
Also, units like BigBud are primed for easy electrification (now or future) - thinking of a hybrid plug in diesel electric in the same terms as a hydraulic driven unit with a "really big" acculumator (battery) to reduce engine hours for those loads where full power isn't needed (even having 2 engine units, one of which runs for light loads and the second kicks in gor full power. - or to recharge the "accumulator" - then take another breather). - then going on with distributed electric drive, making add on's like powered; dollys, trailers, seeders and ploughs (plows) stupidly simple.
Would be nice to see you all at the World Ag Expo in Tulare CA.
Hi from Australia Cole. As always, very interesting and informative. You are doing a great job. I know you like to learn better practices, and I noticed when you were moving equipment from the shed, jump-starting some of them. From someone who worked in the industry for many years, here is a tip that will save you a lot of electrical issues. When jump-starting any vehicle, always connect positive first and negative last. And when disconnecting, always remove negative first and positive last. This practise stops any power surges that electronics do not like at all. And you know there was a power surge as you saw the sparks when connecting/disconnecting. Looking forward to a positive harvest. All the best 🙂😎👍🙏
Fellow Melbournite here 😊
@@halinakajfoszova4354 Me too :)
They need to send a Big Bud to Mike Mitchell for some testing, strap an 86ft bourgault behind it.
Cornstar farms presents our new tractor big bud.
That would be great.
It looks like you got some good information at the farm fair.
Young man on the left at 3:32 has a badass hat
I've never seen anyone so high and still able to speak so well and intelligently
I bet the corn seed salesman loved seeing you coming planting 52000! I can’t imagine almost doubling my seed cost for those yields.
Great to see a bit of Aussie technology in the states ...... the Harrington Seed Destroyer 👍
Really enjoyed the education!
love farm shows. your corn is looking good... don't ya wish ya had a door on both ends of the machine shed?? it would make things half as hard. can ya retro fit such a thing??
FFA was big when I was in school and almost every farm boy and girl had their specialty to pursue for a project.
I really hope the Big Buds take off. JD can take a flying leap
Use to work at ADM. My last day was a day before this show. Wish I could have met y’all.
Crazy we started corn harvest this last week. You got allot of time before that. Be picking beens end of the month in kansas.
Goodness the size of that machine almost as big as my house. Interesting to learn about the corn.
Thanks for the info on why BIG BUD tractors disappeared, I always wondered as they were such great tractors.
They just took a bunch of grade school kids out to a farm here in BC Canada... I think it's wonderful kids and farms go together 🙏💕🥰
I love agronomy geek videos. Thanks
For the combine cab smell:
When I was younger, we had a house fire. The long story short is, I recovered my fabric office chair from the rubble. The thing reaked of trash fire.
I sprayed it with fabreeze every hour for several days. Im talking getting it wet with the stuff.
It took a few days and a bittle and a half of the stuff, but it did get the smell out. I used it for 15 years after the fire, and there wasnt a trace of the smell.
Man, that wind turbine makes a hellova noise
Not a farmer but I gotta say I'm pretty excited about a new Big Bud.
Great video, especially seing how farming is done on the other side of the lake.
Awesome discussion with Ron Harmon on the Big Bud!
Is cool to see the corn comparison and testing you do, don't see that on the other farming channels.
Wow Great Working video ❣❣❣❣❣💯
during you field inspection I kept hearing this whooshing sound over and over again. then I realized... that's what a wind turbine sounds like... Florida boy here, we don't have those round these parts. great video man keep up the good work!
After you and Brandon walked through the fields, did he tell you what you need to change for next season ?
Enjoyed this episode.
So the Bud has a power pack...like a tank, niceeee.
Cole needs new toys!
Your grandfather is so proud of you!❤
How can he be proud when he’s not around
From heaven.
When you were in the fields the wind mills sounds insane
Always a fun show!
Thanks Cole! Thanks for a great video and so nice to see Nave and DC and Cooper too! Gorgeous scenery in the country and beautiful sky.
Cole love how you educate your viewers. Question, is your million dollar bin site going to be able to hold your crops? It's sad to see how it was falling apart over the last winter. Scary to see you all checking things through the top.
Cole. Brandon is a great asset to your farm what is his background? education ect.
Seed destructors are big in Western Australia
Bug bud, big cornstar!!
The big bud stopped in a small town in Kansas
You boys got nipped with some tip back from Hill Seed. Livin, learnin’ and plantin’ pioneer.
Big bud is iconic
Cole, gotta check the new Polaris out, like a full on mini truck with dump bed, they are slick for sure
I can picture Cole in a Big Bud.
I like how Bid Bug have moved into 'Compact' tractors hehe.
Absolutely fabulous show, great Cole content!❤😊
Good to see right to repair
Awesome video Cole. 🚜🚜🚜
Nice tractor ❤❤❤I love watching your videos ❤️ ❤❤❤
That looks like a big semi
Cole, you can't be a NASCAR driver. You just made a right turn!
Big Bud, AWESOME 👍😎!
That Big Bud needs a sleeper cab on it.
I’m a nurse , not a farmer . But can you put under ground sprinklers. I have no idea how much they cost or how much land were talking about. So I might be very naïve ,when I ask this question.
woooooo, repairability takes a win
I guess we're getting new corn head this year.
Another great video!
DEF is needed when the cylinder pressure is very high as well as hot. Winding up an engine for maximum performance will create much more NOx. DEF neutralized NOx, but with an engine that is just idling you don't really need it. The VW "emissiongate" was VW winding up their engines for very high cylinder pressure (more torque at revs meaning more HP), but lowering turbo pressure etc in testing. If you are always running low pressure you will have somewhat lower fuel efficiency, but no need for DEF.
Grind up the weed seeds! Water Hemp reduction! 12:11
When I was a boy on the farm in Iowa in the 70's Dekalb was king
Always a joy watching the videos god bless
Neil koch also did a video on a tractor event today, i will never get sick of tractors
