I remember hearing that Sylvester Stallone kept the red-eared sliders, Cuff and Link, from the original Rocky movie as pets. Did a quick Google search and found out that was false, they are still owned by the pet shop owner that originally lent them although Sly did reunite with them very recently for a photo op. Regardless I still think it's cool that animals from an older movie are still alive and well. In 1976 they were just teeny babies, now they're in their late 40's and are HUGE!

About 20 years ago I was looking at a Victorian house for sale in San Francisco. Turns out it was one of Nicholas Cage's homes, and he was selling it. The entire house was remodeled inside in a wild, fantasy style, including a huge fireplace mantel made from copper and shaped to look like a dragon's head with the mouth positioned where the fire was lit. Upstairs at the top of the staircase was a gigantic cage built for (if I remember correctly) his monitor lizards that he kept. The enclosure was enormous, and basically ran the length of the hallway so you had to walk past them in order to reach any of the bedrooms. Other things as well, but those two things stood out. As soon as I saw your teaser line for this video, I thought of him, and he was your number 1!

Love the pic of slash and my love Betty. I named my tegu after her. They share the same birthday and Betty( human) loved all animals. She view acting as a side gig that helped her spread awareness and funded multiple conservation efforts. Plus she was Americas sassy Gramma. 😂 mouth like a sailor

I used to work at the Wildlife Discovery Center in IL and actually had Nicholas Cage donate his 20 year old Asian Water Monitor to the curator!! His name was Grug and as much as it sucks that the Wildlife Discovery Center closed down the curator that founded it still owns Grug!! He was the sweetest monitor I have ever worked with, fed and cared for!

Ya know I generally don't care tonlearn about what celebrity does what (they're just people after all) but I think this video is important. It's important to help normalize our passion, a passion considered weird by so many people. While I don't look to very many celebrities with admiration, a ton of people do do that, and seeing these people with reptiles may help spread positive word and normalize our wonderful hobby. Can't hate a topic that kills harmful stigmas ❤

Nicolas cage lived here in las vegas for a while. When he would go film stuff, he would leave his collection at a small reptile shop here. I would go there often and got to handle a few of his animals. Eventually he moved away and most likely gave his reptiles to the shop. A few people I knew within the reptile community ended up owning his collection

This is actually an awesome video, speaking of SLASH a few months ago I sold a bcc to his old reptile keeper, he let me know that during the 90s they had an animal planet special about celebs with animals….. the guy is still a reptile keeper in Mexico(Tijuana) and has some pretty crazy boa morphs

Kratts Creatures! One of my three favorite tv shows as a kid! (Magic School Bus and Bill Nye are the other two, ofc.)
I hated Zooboomafoo, it was aimed at a much younger audience… and I watched the 3 above shows before I could read (4? 5?), so at around 8, I was soooo upset. 😂 I’m told their even later animated series Wild Kratts was decent. Legends alongside Steve Irwin for 90s (and maybe 00s) kids.
But we recorded quite a few episodes on VHS to watch endless reruns when we were sick, so I still have copies. Gotta digitize them and see how much our knowledge of animals has changed. 😆
Fun fact: in 2017, a newly discovered mantis was named after the Kratt brothers. Thank you, Wikipedia.

You forgot the OG Alice Cooper! Their first snake was a pet of the drummer but after touring with that snake and several others afterwards he caved and got a few himself, and he lets them free roam his house sometimes and has keepers watch them when not in use while he's on tour. He said he likes to watch football with them on the couch

Video was great as usual, my 7 year old and 4 year old love watching new ones with me when they come out. It was an interesting conversation to have with my 7 year old, however, when you did the vape advertisement. She asked if she could have a flavored stick like Adam. I guess it was an opportunity for a conversation, but I don't like that someone she looks up to is making it look cool. Anyways, food for thought, keep up the great content!

Ok buts not a vape at All, it’s meant to be a healthy alternative to a vape. No smoke, no vapour, literally flavoured air. Imagine balling up a mint leaf in your fist and breathing through your fist. Kerry King is probably the most famous guy I've met with reptiles. I didn't even know he kept them. I met him through my sister back in the 80s when all the thrash metal bands were coming up. She's was in a band called Sentinel Beast. San Francisco was the hot spot for the best music. 🤘🏽
