It describes the occult stage where cancer cells are in the body fluid but no tumor can be seen in the lungs. Stage 0 occurs when cancer cells are found in the airway lining. It goes to demonstrate Stage IA, IB, IIA, IIB which are considered invasive and the cancer cells have invaded the airway lining.

My father had metastatic lung disease. He struggled with his illness for 2 years and then died at the hospital one unexpected day. The nurses said she died peacefully in her heart while she slept. He really wanted to come home to his family, to live only for his family. Doctors say he reconciled with death. My mother passed away last week to this. Squamous cell carcinoma of the airway. No amount of aggressive treatment could slow it down and it appeared so suddenly and progressed so quick. She was a strong women and fought through sever pain with COPD where it limited her daily activities. We were very close, and I lost my brother last year. So this really stings. F cancer.
I lost my father to it 6 years ago, he died five weeks of being diagnosed. May your mother rest in peace, pal. I'm sorry for your loss

Lost my mother to lung cancer last month. Her lung metastasis progressed within a month. She was very much in good health before that. I was very close to her compared to my siblings. It hurts so much to wake up each day.

My dad was diagnosed 10 days ago with stage 4 small cell lung cancer. I am having a hard time coping.
Sad & interesting... My Dad had smoked earlier in his life but quit soon after my Mom had me... He was 28 when he stopped smoking... He died at 66 from lung cancer... Yes you don't have to be a smoker to get lung cancer but the risks are much higher if you do smoke...

Just to inform others, this is not the most up-to-date staging version. The 8th edition staging is now being used, and several things said in this video are no longer correct. This video seems like 6th edition staging.
This makes a good anti-smoking video.
Not everyone who gets lung cancer is a smoker.

I had stage 1b and had surgery and chemo and now they found another smaller nodule so I have to get another CT.

My brother passed away last week of lung cancer. He had smoked all his life. When he found out it was at stage 4. It had spread to his brain and, he had it in his bones and, lungs as well. He lived 3 months. He did under go radiation but, never made it far enough for chemo.

My best friend had pass with small ceĺl lung cancer. He was diagnosed the brginning of this year and in four months he passed away. Once he was diagnosed stage 4 the csnver was very aggresive our time was very short and I wish we could have had more time. We miss him daily
