Guys, I was born and raised in Fairbanks so watching your videos makes me happy for my home state, getting to bring my wife of 36 years to my home state and see all different places I remember from so many years ago. Cruise up from Vancouver, a couple days in Anchorage, Denali and the hometown of Fairbanks. Can’t wait for our summer vacation.

Viewer cruise... we've all done the bahamian / caribbean cruises and its time to shake it up and go big. Not spring '25, not Fall '25 and not somewhere out of Florida. Instead... Mediterranean cruise, Summer '25: June 7th out of Rome Italy, sailing to Messina, Italy, Athens (Pireaus), Greece the island of Mykonos, Greece, Naples, Italy and two Sea Days. I'll plant the seed. You gotta grow it. ;)
Just found you a few days ago! Your videos of the Discovery Princess are phenomenal. We are heading to Alaska on the Discovery Princess Aug 2025 and WOW! You got us so excited. We’ve cruised on Princess to Alaska 4 times previously and we love it. Thank you for your upbeat reviews. So happy for your mom and her recovery. God is sooo good!

When we were in Duluth Minnesota My husband and I were going on the pizza train on a little tour and while we were waiting for it the conductor had to switch trains on the track and he asked us if we wanted to come Up with him and we said sure so we got to sit right up with the conductor and talk to him about all his training While he switched the trains on the track before they loaded the other people up it was so fun...so just visit with a conductor...you never know!!!

Went to Talkeetna today, had ice cream but no fry bread. On Thursday our team is going to the Denali Princess on the train.
I don't comment often, but had to comment on this video. What a fun update you provided. I am so glad your mom is continuing to do well and you have such fantastic plans. You asked what we are doing, I will be enjoying my own Alaska cruise May 11th - May 18th aboard The Princess Discovery! My first visit to Alaska and I am so excited. Heading to Alaska on May 16th with a Royal Caribbean Tour Cruise! Two days in Denali and a day in Anchorage included. Adam - the coffee shop idea is brilliant. I hope it's successful and becomes a model for other organizations.

Gosh, I don't think we will be open in June. Finishing the final permits and then will need a couple months for the build out / construction. So, realistically probably later in summer. But we will keep everyone updated on the space!

Oh gosh so much great news! Love these update vlogs :) Feeling same as Sherri about a big trip this summer - in a month, gulp! Excited and so so nervous! I’m sure we’ll all have a great time, whatever we’re doing, but dang the roll up is a lot! Less stressful, more fun, hoping to take our first cruise, to Alaska, with my stepmom soon! Can’t think of a better way to do a good family trip.
Before I retired a couple yrs ago there was a very similar newish coffee shop on my university campus, went there a lot & hope it’s still going! Wishing them & you all the best!

I work for a non-profit school for special needs kids and adults. We are constantly trying to find new ways to raise funds. Right now, we are chin deep in 5K prep. Two weeks to go! I love the coffee shop idea!

Just wrapping up the school year and then heading to Vancouver on the 25th for our Alaska cruise on the Wonder. We can’t wait to see your beautiful state. It starts with coffee … it’s amazing what u are doing for these individuals and it’s going to be so powerful. From coffee to treats, it makes a difference to the whole community. Running is never easy and you never know the journey and the steps to freedom. Have a great cruise too and enjoy it.
See if princess can donate that experience for the charity.
It would be cool if you could do some sort of fund raiser combining the bus or train from Holland and your new coffee shop!
Make sure you book the kayaks and zodiaks- there are some good hikes guided by naturalists too.

Based on your videos, we're renting an electric Mustang in Skagway and headed to the Yukon! Also renting a Turo in Juneau to see Mendenhall, but mostly to visit the Shrine, thanks to your videos. Getting ready for a month long camping trip out west in July. I'm hoping to document my adventures on UA-cam!
Life is a little crazy, but good, thanks for asking! 105 days until our cruise-tour with Princess (going to be at the Denali lodge for 3 nights, so really looking forward to your review!). We are coming in to Anchorage a day early and have already added your recommendations of Yeti Dogs and the Alaska Native Heritage Center to our to-do list. If the code shop is open by mid August, we'll add that too! If you and Sherri Beth are free, we'd happily treat you to a cup too (and as an incentive to my fellow introvert, I'd come bearing a book or two for SB- I think we have similar taste in books & I am letting go of some favorites due to an upcoming move 😉)

We are doing well. We are getting ready for our cruise as well. We board the new Carnival Firenze ship on May 12th for a 4 day cruise. Once we get back, we are going 90 to nothing as the following 2 weeks are nuts. With grand finals bowling tournament to end of the season bowling banquet to other stuff. Looking forward to seeing all of your cruise videos.
Have you guys been to Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge. I went there last year marking the end of the Alaska excursion via Princess Cruises.

We are doing our 1st Alaska cruise in June on the Princess Discovery and just wondering if you know what the dress code is for dinner dining?? Thank you for any info...
Hi! You will see a variety of dress in the dining rooms for dinner. Everything from suits and formal wear to jeans and nice shirts. Most evenings I wore slacks and a button up shirt (no tie and no jacket) and felt totally fine. I didn't see any shorts or swimsuits in the dining rooms for dinner, so super casual probably isn't as appropriate, but business casual totally is. I even wore nice jeans and a nice shirt some evenings and that was totally fine. Be comfortable, it's your vacation!
