- Sonic Heroes is a bit of a mixed bag for the Sonic fanbase. Some people love it, some hate it, and others think it’s a bit of both. Personally, I’m of the love it crowd. I just had a blast playing through it, even though I did get burnt out after a while and getting the Emeralds was a pain. As for Charriii’s video, I remember watching this one quite a lot before I discovered Th3Birdman. I remember thinking it was the funniest thing I watched, and after a rewatch with a much different mindset, it’s alright. Aside from the whole “Is Shadow real or an android?” debacle, there wasn’t anything that particularly annoyed me, and there was a few things he got right. But it’s still got issues.

@@Kirbystarallies1 That's fair. The physics in Bingo Highway are all over the place. At least we got a good Dream Event out of it in Mario & Sonic 2012 Olympics.
It's kind of a mixed bag like you said but every now and then it's cool to revisit it, except the casino levels because they're pain
So this game is good and i think its actually underrated but some moments suck like any level in bingo highway and to truly beat the game play it 4 times with different characters
I think I'm in the love crowd, the plot is great. And the ending with fighting Metal Madness and Overlord is definitely worth playing through this game, it can get a little frustrating but I try to look past the flaws of games like this.

42:39 I think you might be misunderstanding the article here. The screenshot in your vid seems to be referring to the "Battle for Angel Island" arc in the Sonic IDW comics, which takes place after the events of Forces. In it, Metal Sonic was upgraded to Neo during the war, but the process took longer than expected and he finished his upgrade too late. This explains why he was absent during the war and why Infinite had to create a phantom copy of him.
Once the war was over, Neo stormed the unguarded Angel Island and secured the Master Emerald. When Sonic and Co. went to stop him, Neo used the Master Emerald to transform further, turning him into *Super* Neo Metal Sonic (basically Neo Metal but golden). He later reabsorbed Sonic and Shadow's bio data, and then used them and the Master Emerald to become Master Overlord (think Metal Overload just with the Master Emerald as a power source.) If you're interested and haven't checked out the IDW comics you totally should, they're a great read and basically the only source of good Sonic storytelling at the moment.
So technically Charii does have a point here, as it's never explicitly stated how Metal became Neo in the first place. However, its generally inferred and accepted that Eggman upgraded him to fight Sonic, but he became too powerful and ended up betraying Eggman instead, causing the events of Heroes. So even though it was still a pretty silly sin, Charii did have a point, as if Metal did actually use the Master Emerald in Heroes, it really should have been explained or shown, as Angel Island and the Master Emerald are important parts of the sonic lore and it would've been a pretty important event. Either way, an explanation of how Metal became Neo Metal should've been present in the game or the manual, as the whole story kinda hinges on it.

Charriii even quite explicitly said, and I quote, "your whovian *is showing*" like he WAS talking about his crotch. No matter what word you use to fill in the blank in between "your" and "is", "your [blank] is showing" is quite easy to register as "your penis is showing". I hope that made sence.

He know Charri and biggums missed a legitimate sin. Why are Amy, Cream, and Big shown as close friends at the start of this game when none of them have ever interacted with each other once prior (Sonic X is a seperate continuity)

They could have meant each other off screen, I mean as Sega introduced the characters Amy probably meant them off screen but she already meant Big the cat in Adventure 1.

Amy's Tornado Hammer is the most broken move as far as these Team Battles are concerned, so it makes sense to wait until one of her fights to bring it up for maximum effect... and the fight against Sonic was rather sin-heavy already.
True fact here: A year ago I wanted to do the entire Adventure Trilogy as my kickstarter to the Charriii5 EWWs but I didn’t have enough time for it. However Heroes was the most difficult video to construct and I’m quite glad you made your video here. Now just do Adventure 1 and the whole series is complete

i actually like heroes! and the part where you said that rouge,s outfit should not appear in others games. but i think it should come back because to me its more suitable than the outfit she wears now. but i respect your opinion.

@@tonysonic456 Rouge’s Heroes outfit is kinda weird, but at least she’s properly covering her chest. Come to think of it, I think the characters should switch up their wardrobe from time to time. It’s kind of boring seeing them wear the exact same outfit (or lack of in the guy’s cases) every time, matter how well their typical clothes suit them.

As it turns out, Shadow came first, but I didn’t know that until after I uploaded the Battle video.
For the EWW Shadow the Hedgehog video, there are two version of it: the older short version and the longer new version.
I haven't watched either in a long time, but if the shorter version's anything like the Adventure 1 and 2 videos, I'll gladly take the longer version.
@tonysonic Ok so I love heros but I do have to ask what do get from getting all A ranks some say it’s just a hard mode but I’m not to sure also I do have to disagree that typos are sins only if the subtitles constantly do it unless the game is designed to mess them up.
The reward for getting all A ranks is a "Super Hard Mode". I played the first level just to get a taste, and this game's idea of "super hard" is just throwing in a bunch of enemies and spike balls everywhere. Also, unless it's like a bunch of typos in rapid succession, typos will never be sins.

I really like these videos. Not only because it's poking fun at Charriii, (I also don't hate Charriii) but you actually bring up a lot of good points as well as just letting cartoons be with their own wild nature. I'm starting to realize with the, “I've got a bad feeling about this” being treated as a cliche, why hasn't CinemaSins done any, “We've got company” cliches as it's known to be “the most spoken line in movies”?
I don't hate Charriii either, but man is he bad at games. In his Paper Mario sins he didn't know he had to visit Merlon to reach chapter 7. I mean Merlon's sole purpose is to tell you where to go, so that should've been the first place he went to.
@@newguy371 To be fair, he had a good point in that sin because he mentions Twink already does that for us, so we end up forgetting about poor Merlon. And since Twink and Peach end up finding out nothing on the Chapter 6 intermission, he won't come anywhere on the city and we kinda get confused on what to do. I even had to watch a walkthrough just so I could get on that chapter at all, and well, it was my experience since I'm not very bright (for syndromic reasons), but still.
@@MrRuePine Twink doesn't do it for chapter 1 either, and you have to go to Merlon to get past the Koopa Bros. in Toad Town. So you'd think he would remember that.

You are right everywhere except for Knuckles Chaotix. Someone at Sega said that the Chaotix in Heroes are reimagined from Knuckles Chaotix. They are not the originals which implies that it isn’t canon, and that’s not a bad thing given that nobody likes that game.

Hi Tony, as someone who hasn't played heroes but would love to, I have a question, why do most people say to get the emeralds as Team Rose?
Because their levels are the easiest. To get the Emeralds, you need to get a key from a cage and take it to the end of the level without getting hit ONCE. With any other team, it's maddening, but with Team Rose, it's cake.

Yeah, Heroes’ story is kind of complicated due to the multiple playable characters. I was able to figure things out, but most people might not be able to.
I still like to think Team Rose beats team Sonic based on Creams line but it's not that big of a deal it can go either way

The best you could criticize was "Charii points out things on the screen" here? That's clearly another room in the building with houseplants! So the sin _should_ be that Charii thought it was outside to begin with... though I guess you missed it too, so it can't be too much of a sin... especially since I didn't even notice anything on the other side of that door before now, and thus assumed it was "outside".
For the whovian sin. The word whovian does not mean groin it means a fan of the doctor who series. So technically you’re the one pointing out a 6 year old bees crotch

The cutscene for Sonic vs Knuckles shows it was a draw
We know from Amy’s perspective that it was Sonic who fought and beat Gamma
For Adventure 2 it’s a bit harder but we know Sonic won the final dual with Shaodw as Shadow said “you know I can’t let you live” if Shadow had won Sonic would’ve been killed and not been around for The Last Story
Actually, the Last Story kicks off where the Dark story left off, and would be impossible if Sonic stopped the eclipse cannon, implying Shadow won.
@@personexisting123 Eggman could’ve just been unaware Sonic disabled the eclipse canon. Remember it was never meant to fire Gerald reprogrammed the ARK so it would go on a collision course when all 7 were entered

What makes typos not sins? If you were to turn in an essay with a bunch of typos to your teacher, chances are you're probably gonna get points taken away. The series is called "Everything WRONG with" for a reason.
You’re right. An essay with a bunch of typos would lose points. HOWEVER, if there’s only one or two in the whole thing, which is the case in most of Charriii’s EWWs, it’s negligible and kinda pointless to count those little things as problems.

Nice video, I'm glad I was actually able to make this one. You know, I used to find some of the stuff in the original video absolutely hilarious. Now I'm not saying my sense of humor has gotten much better since then, but I realized that the original video is flawed, and the attempts at humor are... reaching....

Anyway, Sonic Heroes is one of those games I just never have the motivation to replay it unlike SA1 and 2. Though I want to say its because I've only played the PS2 version of the game, which is a bit jankier compared to the GameCube version. That, and the special stages suck, but that goes for every version of the game.
Funnily enough, when I first got the game, I actually played as Team Dark first since Shadow was a member and he was my favorite character back then. Had no idea that meant I'd be playing the "hardest" difficulty right out of the gate. Whoops.
They were obviously keeping up the mystery (don’t know if that’s the actual term i should use) They’re acting like they don’t know if shadow is an android or not.

A) You’re another person who clearly can’t suspend their disbelief. Next thing you’ll be telling me is that Foxes with two tails that he can use to fly like a helicopter don’t actually exist.
B) Again, suspend your disbelief whydoncha. This is a franchise that doesn’t take place in any sort of realism. Just roll with it dude.

@@ronaldmatos1516 Because the same argument works for both. While there is a limit, Sonic’s world is clearly on the higher end of the cartoony spectrum. The franchise is allowed to get away with a lot more than other franchises because of it. A fox flying backwards and a moving picture aren’t all that unbelievable in the context of the world.
@@tonysonic456 Still, the Sonic series relies heavily on physics in both gameplay and cutscenes. If they wanted to show Tails flying backwards, they should’ve animated him pointing his tails in front of his body (I.e. the direction Tails is facing), not behind it.
@@ronaldmatos1516 It doesn’t need to do that for everything. A little suspension goes a long way, you know. Besides, by your own logic if Tails had pointed his Tails in that direction, he would’ve fallen down.

Ya know looking back on Team Dark’s story I’m starting to question why Shadow’s game even exists. All the signs pointed to Shadow being the real deal and even if they weren’t it’s not bad to leave things open to interpretation

Here's a sin both u and Charriii actually missed also: When the teams show all the chaos emeralds, there's only six at first before it goes back to eggman, then suddenly Sonic has the seventh out of nowhere even though we didn't see the blue one before. And before u say charmy has it, it's sky blue, not deep blue.

@@jakishamburger558 While I haven’t personally met him, I have seen Charriii for who he really is. The only reason I go hard on him is because he goes so hard on the games he covers. Also, why would the mystery itself be din-worthy? It’s not obvious that Shadow’s real, unless you really look at things. As I said, they aimed to answer that in Shadow which was a welcome concept at the time.

Also the Coconuts badnik had to be based on SOMETHING. In fact during Knuckles’ story in Sonic Adventure you have to destroy a caged Coconuts with the “Monkey destruction switch”
Aiai and Amigo are from other Sega properties thrown in there for fan-service, and even involving a lemur in a discussion about monkeys is kind of insulting to lemurs. The Coconuts Badnik is the only instance of any in universe monkeys appearing, and that’s a robot.
