    I was born in New Glasgow in 1940, raised in Dieppe NB , came to Oshawa Ontario in 1956 , been home since ! Would love to visit NS someday ! This video next best thing , thank you !!

    You said it right the first time, it’s Glasgow like scotland lol, Nova Scotia is Latin for new scotland, and pictou is pick-toe, so you had that right the first time too lol, a lot of people say “picktu” but it’s pick toe, and a lot of us locals in the county just call it “pickta”

      Thanks, Wheel...yep, 100% aware of the Scottish influence in Nova Scotia since I am Scottish, the last one in my family born there. Just outside of Glasgow. Thanks for the tip on Pick toe 🙂
