Good to hear John Peel doing the introductions - we get to hear him all too rarely.
I saw steel pulse at the Brixton academy in London 1982 85 with my brother Phill and he's mate Ian both gigs were amazing great very good nice one one love.
Shinin' ❤
Fell in love with Steel Pulse after seeing them with punk bands during the 70s.
First seen them on Urgh! A Music War in the early 80"s n been a fan since
Hard to believe this was recorded more than 40 years ago. I bought the cassette that these songs were on while on a cycling trip in France in 1982 and I still have the tape, Caught You. I was fortunate also to see them play in Phoenix Park, Dublin, in Aug. 1983 on the same bill as U2, Simple Minds, Big Country and Eurythmics. An amazing day and they were great. I'll always have a soft spot for Steel Pulse, a very authentic and talented band.
Seen this GREAT British roots band more than any other reggae act. Why? They toured with punk bands here in USA in the 70's and 80's
Ace - remember listening to this
