- I fixed my bumper on the Prius! I didn’t think I could but I really wanted to atleast try! I used my fiberglass repair kit and bondo glass. You can save $$ off of eligible items using code: STEPHANIE if you want to attempt something similar! Thanks to @advanceautoparts for sponsoring this video!

Simply the fact that you tried goes to show you're the can-do type...👏👏👏👏
I love youngsters that teach themselves by doing! That’s what I did back in the 80s and it paid off in several areas of life.
No eches metiras! You got a new bumper!
Well I mean it's new now
*mentiras 🤦🏻♂️ wow dude, nice try
I'm professional body/paint tech. You did fine, those repairs should hold up decently. For future bumper repairs, if you can get a used section of ANY plastic bumper, keep it around to cut out patches you need. Use zip ties and a soldering iron to "weld" your patches in, and then use the fiberglass over your patch for stability, but you won't have the issues of forming the fiberglass to shape
I had a body shop once in my life and I wish I had a helper like you cuz you seem to have brains and enthusiasm and drive keep going sister
Fiber glass is fun to work with that's for sure
I salute you fellow DIY’er💙💙💙
Looks amazing. new bumper left the chat.
That’s dope u did a great job
You remind me of my youngest daughter.
At the end, how do you feel about the finished product? You look like you have the skills and ability to do it. Keep it up.
That is really good, I would have just cut off the damaged bits and left it at that, daily driver beater life
Thata badass girl!!! The fact that you weren't sure but tried to make what you seen in your head and wanted, shows just how smart and creative and talented you are, PLEASE keep up all your hard work!!!
GOD BLESS and be safe
Good job. I done something very similar to what you did on my Nissan frontier.
Can you tell me everything you used! I have a similar problem at the moment lol like the exact bondo you used would be very helpful
That looks hella legit. 👍🏼
Excellent job and way to adapt and overcome!!!!
This is awesome! You have the type of mind that we need right now! Keep it up! Keep it going! Keep learning and doing the things that everyone says can't be done! Curiosity creates ideas and ideas create progress and progress creates confidence and confidence creates determination and determination creates solutions and solutions create greatness! Keep it up!
How long did it take to repair it
And how much $ did it cost you to fix it yourself?
What supplies did you use? Can you list below?
Looks good I need to touch up the paint on mine do you have a video on doing that
Aye, it's works! That's all that matters! Tried out a new skill! And u know how to do that's cool
Fiberglass resins will hold to a ABS bumper but unfortunately not for long. It's not the proper way to repair a plastic bumper cover
Yea looks good 👍
A for effort D for results. Watch UA-cam videos first for guidance.
I normally don't watch women shorts cuz they voices annoying 🤣 but imma subscribe to u 💕
Just buy a new bumper for 20$ and install it 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
💯 respect im currently in the same boat fixing my $300 toaster from the salvage lot
Fiberglass will crack on that bumper but that’s fine
Aye yo ❤️🧡💛💚 go with ur bad self!!!!
Sand the area....will make the fiberglass stick better
Barely touch that side and it will rip right off
People question me too! Why fix when you can replace, but I tell them, if you don’t know than I just can’t explain it lol
You probably spend more money and time fixing it then just buying a new one 😂 absolutely great job though!!
Just get a bumper lmao, it’s
Not like it’s gon be more than 100$, it’s not like you drive a muscle car or some shi
Good job. I do this as a living customizing cars. . But when fixing. It. Try drill small holes on each piece. And then glass it so resin absorbs in holes for stronger bond
You wrecked a family corolla sedan or a Prius.. you make it hard to tell with the camera angle.
I would never trust you behind the wheel of a fast car. Also your page says drifting I never seen it.
Thats was pretty good, but personally I would drill a bunch of holes on the area of the bumper that you fiberglassed over, so that the fiberglass chop strand and resin can bite better onto the plastic, you can still do it now, without removing the patch you made.
nice! i need to fix the bumpers on my prius c i got at auction
You should get a plastic welder and a plastic stapler. Way better of a result I promise. But still props
Use to teach kids body work in jr. college some kids would get SO pissed when I taught them plastic repair and told them when they bring their fucked up bumpers in that its best to just buy a new one but no no no these kids had something to prove to me so theyd be trying to fix it and realize its way to hard and the repair looked like shit
Next time, put the fiberglass on the inside, not the outside.
Hey dude SMD sunflash is such an easy product just incase you do end up building your own kit
I do this all the time to my friends cars with dents and wreckage. I go to the junk yard buy the part cut it off and weld it to the car im working on.
After fibreglass work take as cold of a shower as you can and use a loofa the cold water contracts your pours in your skin pushing the tips of the fiber out of you the loofa catches them and removes them instant stop itch this works for any Fiberglas products insulation for your house boat repairs or body kits and everything in between
No idea how? happens to have an entire mechanics garage
You go girl!
Hey I paint cars 🚗 if you need any advise or anything hmu 🤙
You want to make a body kit I'll let you use my car That's God
Can u post a video on how you did this?🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I hate fiber glass I use bondo it's easier!!
Dammmmmmm jus made me realize I’m trippin if I buy a new bumper i needa jus fix it

A for effort at least.

Ur awsome
Great job
dam good job
Good job.
Awesome
Next time, put the fiberglass on the back but looks nice 👍
Very good job. Not quite the way I would have done it but I've also been working in body repair for over 20 years. My first few tries definitely didn't come out that well
So my first question is is the bumper plastic or was it fiberglass because if the bumpers fiberglass it made sense of what you were doing but if the bumper was plastic and you put fiberglass on it that doesn't make any sense never going to Bond properly and it's eventually going to break but quite frankly it looks like a plastic bumper that one single break could have been easily done by using the metal squiggly Heat inserts and it would have been cheaper than doing the fiberglass without knowing what was made out of I guess we can't really tell
Hit me up cause I need my bumper fixed💀💀
😂😂😂
Ssshhheeeeeeeee
Good job shorty, would love to chat with you about the fiberglass products you used
You honestly rock, I wasn’t a big fan at first but Watching more and more videos I’ve grown to really enjoy your journey… please keep posting, you got me hooked now. Lol🤣
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really good work! Must have had a awesome sense of accomplishment
It looks good. Keep up the good hard work
What tools and products are u using
What about the structural damage
Structural damage ? it’s a plastic bumper you dummy 🤣 you can breathe on it and it might break just because it was broken doesn’t mean that the car has any structural damage
Trying something never done before is always a huge win!!
I'm the same way in the same boat and I inspire myself to keep going just like you did good job
Why you fixing the bumber cover 🤔
You go girl good job see you you did a beautiful job
Do you have full length vid?
Awwww fffffff! Come on let's see the rest!
How did you learn to work on cars
You did great.
Wow
