Hi Becky I’m loving your instructions for the chicken salad quilt but I’m finding it hard to find all the different chicken instructions for them all I tried finding them on loris site to so just wondering if you could help me with that thank you
I LOVE my Scan and Cut for Fabric! Couldn't be easier. I cut doll clothes patterns easy peasy for perfection matching to sew together. I do not use a backing, but I do use a little Terial Magic or spray starch and the Scan and Cut does the job perfectly.
I'm so happy you figured out how to make your doll clothes. I know that was the main reason you purchased the SNC. I KNEW you'd figure it out! Congrats Katie!!
Essentials will not do this. If you'd like to use Embrilliance (which I recommend), then you'd need Stitch Artist 2. It's just as easy to import the fcm file and convert to applique. It's on sale through 4/3 right now. bit.ly/3MgMqmZ I have videos showing how to do this.
Becky ? I got the scan and cut 125e to have my fabric to set up and cut out by the machine . I get the Embrillance to create the SVG files to use stitch out on my Bernina. I have the Dime 6 by 10 square hoop since the oval hoops aren’t so great for the stitching files. Do I have this right? Thanks!
Your SNC 125e will be enough to scan in the traced images and cut the fabric. Use the teal Low Tack mat like I am. Embrilliance isn't used in this process; I'm using Simply Applique. Simply Applique will save to the ART format for your Bernina. Be sure to watch my video for when I used multiple hoopings to stitch out Percy so you can use that DIME square hoop.
Hi it’s Susie from Australia. What are you doing with the left overs material from the scan n cut. Do you think there is less or same wastage as cutting it while in hoop? I’m tempted to try the SNC with my next project. Thanks.
I cut away the very skinny scraps that can't be used again and toss those. The pieces that are viable to make other applique from, I keep in a bin under the SNC machine. I'm forever needing a piece of this color or that for a little thing and it's great to find fabric already prepped with HNB. I think the waste is the same as cutting it away or less. When I cut the feet & beak this time, I would have used 3 pieces of yellow fabric to cut away from the applique. Using this SNC, I only used one larger one and nested the shapes together to snug up to one another.
I’m a little confused about the software. If I have BES4 do I also need the Simply Appliqué? Doesn’t BES4 have the appliqué functionality built in? Thank you so much for the videos. I have a setup with the Dream machine, Scan-n-Cut 650, and BES4. Honestly I have not used very many of the functions because I did not understand all the steps involved. Your video is easy to follow and very informative. They are like a Scan-n-cut “ university.” I have been sharing your videos with my Scan-n-cut friends. We are all very excited about your content. Again, thank you!
No, if you have BES4, you're good to go. The software company just extracted the applique module out of BES4 to create Simply Applique. I use the titles of the software interchangeably since most of my viewers use Simply Applique. SA is only $169 at Allbrands.com BES4 is around $500 I think. Thank you for sharing my channel!!!! YAY!!!
Becky I am very interested in making the Blessings table runner with you. But I did not see a link for the fabric kit? Could you post that? I am not doing the chicken salad with you but love watching the videos, I still find them very informative.
Hi there! I know the above video has nothing to do with Bee Vintage quilt but I’m “stuck” once again. I bought the Bee Vintage Sew Simple Shapes and I downloaded the PDF for the pattern. But once again the numbers for the shapes ( I don’t care too much about the material as I’m using my own ) are all over the place. If there’s anyone out there that has managed to put the numbers of the shapes together that forms each “figure” can you please help? I’m a beginner and I know I’m moaning, but any help will help a lot. Thank you🙏🙏🙏🙏
The gold mat for the SNC is super sticky and you don't want to put a substrate like HNB down on the mat or the paper that covers it. Put the fabric face down on the gold and purple mats.
@@bobbiedovin2303 To my knowledge, the black mat (at least the one I have) is just for scanning and is not sticky. I don't believe I've ever seen a black mat that's sticky but I may have missed an earlier version when SNC was first released. A good rule of thumb is that if your mat is super super sticky (like you have a time pulling your hand off of it) then fabric side down/paper up. Low tack you can use substrate down/fabric up.
Yes, Keith made that for me. It's custom to hold my mats and bins underneath for tubes of vinyl. I just love it! No sorry, it can't be purchased and no plans available. Maybe I can talk my son into making them. :)
Well Becky I fell down the rabbit hole..lol waiting for my fat quarters to come and my backing ..
I need one of these

Becky are the shaps the same size as the guide? Do i need to enlarge the shapes, if so how do that?
The shapes are identical to the Simple Shapes used for the tracing.
Also Becky i see you use simpy applique. Can i do that with essentials instead?

Thank you for letting me know. I will watch the other you tube video as well. Seriously, your the best instructor on you tube.

You said gold mat paper side up?
Explain please
The gold mat for the SNC is super sticky and you don't want to put a substrate like HNB down on the mat or the paper that covers it. Put the fabric face down on the gold and purple mats.
@@PowerToolsWithThread
So the black mat is good for the HNB paper side down

Hi Becky, did Keith make your cabinet for the scan n cut or can it be purchased?
It is really a great piece!
Yes, Keith made that for me. It's custom to hold my mats and bins underneath for tubes of vinyl. I just love it! No sorry, it can't be purchased and no plans available. Maybe I can talk my son into making them. :)
He sure is a keeper!you are so fortunate to have him by your side! And sooo talented!😊😎
I want to see the shirt your wearing.
It's a steampunk pair of scissors that says, "I will Cut You" lol
