Ks3 CreativeArt: As soon as I saw this Tree of Life video, I knew I just had to make it. Well, 2 hours later, I did, only I improvised as I did not have any jute rope. I used worsted yarn (in Cafe Latte) and a thin strand of gold (with tiny gold sequins that don't really show up well in the pic but sparkles when the recess lighting shines on it). I want to thank you for this great idea because it is now hanging on the entry hall wall above a vintage dresser, and it looks great.
I will be checking out more of your videos. Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure folks the purpose of her video with the use of jute and cardboard was to show how little you would need to achieve this project. By all means use a metal ring or whatever you wish and same with the rope you can switch that up as well...be. creative! Nice job by the way sweetheart!

Would also look nice with natural stone dangles and feathers on longer lengths ... but may have to hot glue some wire to the back of the cardboard ring before wrapping to take the extra weight. 🤗

I am making a large tree of life dream catcher with a small hula hoop. I'm done wrapping it but am not sure how long to make the strands for the actual tree. I've been told 3x to 4x the diameter of the circle. But still not sure. Any suggestions.

Each strand can’t possibly be 48 inches long - that’s almost 122 metres!? If you divide that by 20, well then each strand would only be 6cm. So, is it possibly 48 CENTIMETERS per strand you mean??
