I also agree that filming doesn't interfere with the aircraft systems. The mainly tell you to put the devices away because takeoff and landing are said to dangerous ( there not but thats FAA rules) so they want you to be prepared in case of an emergency. Thanks for telling me how you film. I got a flight coming up soon to the Dominican Republic so I'll get some nice footage.
On final approach the flight attendants should be strapped in to their own rearward-facing seats, so unless you're within sight of one you should be able to film the landing OK. Is this only a problem with SIA? I don't think the camera will interfere with the aircraft's systems because its electromagnetic field is weak and it doesn't emit a radio signal, but I'm happy to be corrected by someone more knowledgeable.
@energycondensed That's the whole point of it. The pilots deployed spoilers to slow down the aircraft as well as to make it descend faster to put the aircraft on the right descent path.
That landing was OK (though the approach was a bit twitchy), but if that's one of the smoothest landings you've ever had you must have had some rough landings!!
How do you film this without getting caught from a flight attendant? For me i film for as long as I can and then get asked to put it away. Please help me.

I really enjoy this video! And thank you so much for the seat information, now I know which seat I should take!
wow! awesome wing view! i also landed on 02L!
What a beauty

Wonderful
Thanks a lot!! ;)

The flaps extend from the wing's trailing edge, the slats from the leading edge, and the speedbrakes/spoilers from the upper surface.
I always thought the flaps were called speedbrakes. Great vid anyway!
@greatflyer96 The pilots use the spoiler in air to reduce the speed.
@energycondensed most of the small movement the wing is making on this approach is automatically done by the plane
Hi, this is filmed with a Samsung HMX-U10. ;)
that flaps sure is extended fully..
