Instant kill moves are more balanced than mind control. Cause at least when your unit is killed it doesn't join the enemy team. Like who thought this one through.
Taking away an opponent's hard earned unit and turning it against them (for such a cheap price) is just ridiculous! If it's gonna stay in multiplayer then they better make major changes.
You know I have an idea how to balance it. Remove the ability for merics to convert and make it only thera (and mera if she was added) to convert units because isn't it obvious? The banner clearly show us that thera convert a unit but when testing it out after researching the upgrade thera didn't get the ability at all.
But in the campaign merics convert units and your telling me u want it to be removed? What if u face a guy using Giants. Like the guy is a Frankenstein achievement user like how are u going to counter a dangerous strong army eh??
The worst thing i saw is that it attracts newbies, new players see it is cheap and think its gonna be cool to convert units to your side. I was in a match before with my friend and there 2 new players using only eclipsors juggos and merics to, ( one of them only had merics and bewitch ), they kinda got destroyed because they neglected economy.
this is why i hate stick war 3 multiplayer now. Hell,the merics can even convert your units when they are garrisoned but in the process of convertion this is the worst thing added to SW3 multiplayer so far.
I had some ideas for balancing proselytism. A unit can only be converted if: - The unit being converted is standing still; attacking is fine, but they can't move around. - The unit being converted hasn't been stunned. - The meric converting a unit doesn't move - The meric converting a unit doesn't get hit by an enemy at all.
Problem is, sw3 doesn't have the same precise targeting that se and sw2 have, so it'll auto track to the nearest target and probably would be wasted on fodder

the best way to counter meric convert to use units or spells that can stun, since stunning a meric in the middle of converting will cancel the process and reset the cooldown, or use useless units for the merics to convert, in my opinion, i think crawlers, Sicklewrath and especially Magikill minions are the best way to do so
For me. Rune of Reanimation and Posing. Alongside the Card of Savage Smithy. Cant convert much if your drowning in cannon fodder. Then while that Juggs and eclipsors or Toxics in the backline.
I also encountered this recently, and I must say the devs gotta be smoking crack when they thought of releasing this to multiplayer without any significant nerfs...
Facts about meric convert here's a way to counter it has range run away but when the merics are at the statue and when they are in the process of converting they can get you while garrisoned and depending on the unit it takes longer to convert you can ask me questions

@@theb76 well they have powerful decks that can give your army a disadvantage. Hence is a reason why Convert is added there is to turn the tides of favor into your side. To use units that are not on your deck and use them against the enemy. My Frankenstein Achievement strategy will be countered by this convert and it's one reason why Convert is needed in the multiplayer

Convert can turn a giant on enemy side thats too op but it takes like 20 s to do the more hps units have it takes longer to convert
