The moment that gets me every time, is when she recalls the SEALs laying on top of her, to protect her. That embodies what the US Military is. We want to serve, save and sacrifice. @@Pov_Chrisss ST6 Did NOT write or contribute to the book, or any books, regarding their missions. Like she said, they came in wearing masks & military appropriate for the mission attire & gear.. Made sure to get her to rescue hele, give her basic relief info, the American Flag, and provisions for health & safety until she arrive at designated military base. Once positive she's healthy enough for travel, they flew her home in an American Rescue Military plane. When she arrived home, she still did not know who it was that were commissioned to rescue her.
I can say, IMO this rescue had Ben in the works long before the day of execution. It most likely was pushed up upon hearing the hostage was very ill, could lose her life without medical care STAT. When she first heard all the gun fire, then the Seals grabbed her, & took her to specific location, protected & cover, until rescue hele arrived. How did this rescue go so well? How, in the dark of night, all bandits, and hostage covered with blankets, did the seals identity her location, killed all bandits, got her to safety. Because, it was very strategically planned. Let alone they train daily just for these rescues. God Bless our military. These heroes are not in it for fame. Their vow of silence, and to protect & serve. Is honorably buried deep into their hearts, & souls. 💞💯🙏🇺🇸

@Evil Betty Yes the green berets component are very physically fit, as fit as SEALS, with different expectations however. The Air Force “PJ’s” too, are bad as bad can be-all in the right way.
Simply put, American Special Forces are the baddest troops we have. Our SF soldiers are as good or better than every SF unit in existence from any nation. We have the ability where others do not, of having a SF global reach...we can deploy specialty troops anywhere in the world virtually on a moments notice. Very impressive!! @@Sudas80 OK Ron, I’ll say this slow. Our military has done great and at times seemingly miraculous missions, for the benefit of all of us. I was simply following that by contrasting people that are often elected, paid by us, who actively campaign against those same American interests and values with an “in-your-face” and an “up yours!” demeanor. I was lamenting that there are democrats acting in a concealed capacity who at every opportunity make decisions based on those broken skewed values, thereby hurting everyone! If that doesn’t explain it clear enough, relax, the cheating and poor sportsmanship, lying and deceit by enemies of conservatives such as the mainstream media and the democrat party, has been in play a very long time, a lot of people miss it or deny it. Nonetheless, it’s a real bitch when our own people are hating us,,,openly and with glee. Nothing constructive-just tear it down! Anything to put down Israel. Haters of the Jews, those openly anti-semites.That’s anti-American thinking, in every way. If people don’t want to be what America is, that’s fine. Stay where you want to fit in, but don’t come here and fight to change us into something we are not. China and all haters of America will be defeated.

I'm a retired US Navy veteran who has worked with the Brits.....And I will guarantee you that the SAS had a rescue plan worked out just in case they were the ones who were called upon to rescue her.................They would have been ready.....gone at a moments notice.. .and without a second thought.........just like she was one of their own...And the results would have been the same. They are the same kind of men....Britain is the greatest friend and staunchest ally this country ever had. I think all Americans should understand this.

There is such an emotional story. It always brings tears to me eyes, but one of the parts that always gets me is the child soldier on speed. It really bothers me when people in relatively safe countries complain about how rough they have it, when there are places on earth were children are routinely abused and denied their childhood in such an awful fashion as being molded into a child soldier.

I'm an American, but I've never seen this until now. With that said, I have seen a movie with Russell Crowe called 'Proof of Life' that could very well have been based on this story - I'm going to look it up now - but I loved that movie, and I'm so glad I found your video and saw this woman's testimony. Thank you!

Proof of Life came out years before this but its the same concept in a way, they need proof of life before negotiations. Its a really great movie, I agree.

This really is an amazing story, but missions like these are carried out on a regular basis. These men truly are the tip of the spear, and America’s silent warriors. They don’t want the recognition, they don’t care about politics, they leave their families on a regular basis not knowing if they’ll ever see them again because they love this country and they bleed red white and blue.
