Thank you for taking the time to do this review. It is just a little older now but I found you. I would like to comment that there are many reasons for a autopet feeder. But a very common one is for Dogs that stay outside on a large property and so a autofeeder needs standup over long haul against various conditions. All those plastic programmable units seem well and good for the kitchen or screened in poarch to me. I would like to see the best of the best for all conditions.

I have a disability and on days im in the hospital I want to have these although my roommate is home I'd feel better knowing that my dog got fed even when im not home also my yard has a doggy door for him to go in and out to use the bathroom I try to make everything as easy as possible, my only issue is I cook fresh food for my dog and mix hard and soft food each day or every two days i feed my dog something different that's healthy and full of nutrition

Would like to find out a pit more about the longevity of the products , such as what type of gears used on the drive motors , I had two already which did not last too long due to the Cheap nylon gearing used . Would like to know if any of these machines uses Metal gearing.

,Rarely anymore is there timers that are ONLY in "military time"/24 hour time, there is almost always an option in setup to switch to 12hr am/pm time so I would be surprised if that is not the case on the units said to be only military time....just saying.

I guess there's not one automatic feeder that's rechargeable and wireless without using batteries. The location I have for my dog's food doesn't have an outlet, but then I don't want to use batteries...

I just purchased #5...DO NOT RECOMEND. The price currently is a tad over $50.00 for a thin flimsy sheet metal box. I have the 25lb version. Not good for largebreed dogs, my mastiff cannot get his head in the tray to eat. The door does not open wide enough.
