100% true. As a comparison, I was at Wembley in 2000 - the infamous 'second night' - and when he is not on it, and pissed out of his head, and lashing out after coming through a very public divorce, and in every way an absolute shambles of a man, I can report that he is very much still untouchable as well. Because he is, well, William John Paul Gallagher. And we love him.

The coolest songwriter of the last 30 years also alongside the best frontman in 30 years. Epic performance. This is a great time for Oasis with the new lineup firmly in there groove with the new album HC. Also Liam has the coolest look ever at this period of the band. Only Liam can pull off that look & man he pulls it off so well. ✌️👍✌️🫶
Best Hindu Times and Stop Crying Your Heart Out and My Generation is class with Gem on vocals. And the two classics at the end are unreal Noel's vocals on Don't Look Back In Anger are on point
It was a great time for the band. Reinvigorated by Gem & Andy firmly in their groove with the release of HC. They brought that excitement back at this point of the bands live shows. Liam looks his coolest ever that only he could pull that look off & looks incredible but the bands performance is epic at this period and even into DBTT tour was still a great time for the band before it went tits up with the last album on the DOYS tour. ✌️👍✌️🫶
@@TheMusicalElitist They definitely didn't. Watch TOTP clips from the 60s-90s. 99% of the performances were playback; no way that was down to the acts not wanting to play live. A reason why that was the case, at least early on, was that the technology didn't lend itself well because episodes were broadcast live. You have to consider the time it would have taken to set up live acts, as well as the commercial aspect too. It was only after more bands starting complaining (and the emergence of CD:UK on ITV), that pushed them to include regular 'live' acts.
@@peterthirdandthebridges Its true, weirdly imo the first half of the 2000s Noel's songwriting for the albums wasn't as good and improved in the second half, but right as Noel's songs are getting great, liams voice plummets for a while, imo liams voice is amazing now again
Peter Third Music Liams been singing for the best part of 30 years. It began to get that raspy sound at early 2000’s but I think we should all agree that he has regained a good sound in the last few years compared to oasis gigs in 2008/09. Noels voice has always been top form which is good for him

Dude he crushed it. After killing it the whole song, he found another gear at 11:13 and then at 11:41 he was channeling something. Like a man on a mission. So good, so damn good.
I think they're DKNY 2005. I bought practically the same off ebay for about 200 euro around that time and lost them in South America in the amazon travelling. Some kick ass rock n roll Croc swimming round there since with me glasses
The exact moment my ex told me I was gonna be a dad all them years ago. Waited all night to watch this with my cans of stella chilling away in the fridge........9 months later I named the wee fucker Liam
This why alot of Oasis fans call this the best lineup... listen to Glasgow 2001, or this special, or Finsbury Park... Whiteys drumming, Gem and Andy improving the rhythm section. Gem and Noel trading solos. Liam hadnt lost his voice yet. Maybe it doesnt have the unbridled enthusiam of 1996 Maine Road. But the band sounds better here. Unquestionably.
Noel may not be Joe Satrioni with the guitar ( cheers and thank God for that) yet he has played many killer/bad ass licks in his many fantastic, brilliant rocking songs that made the devil himself fall to the ground and curl up like a bitch....
Great Era Top of the pops stuffed the sound mix on this so much so Noel said that's it no more live top of the pops stuff sounds so plastic no bass or punch to it what so ever !

Liam sounds amazing!
Alan White's drumming on My Generation is outrageous!👌
These vocals are so good it almost sounds like a playback! Fucking superb
Real "LIVE" !
How good is Whitey's drumming/Liam's singing on 'My Generation'!
Whitey? Who? You mean the ghost of keith moon possessing him for a brief 5minutes and getting one last thrash out.
@@peterthirdandthebridges Alan White was one of the best drummer in Uk in the last 25 years.
Alan White is greatest drummer for Oasis. Zak doesn't fit Oasis but a great drummer
Best live version of don't look back in anger I heard. They played it at the correct tempo for once
Argentina was the best
Totally agree !!!

The Hindu Times - best performance they ever did of it!
