OMG you are so lucky with your rent! I just looked at my first condo rental for a 1-bedroom 750 sq-ft in Pickering....$2050/mo. BUT....plus parking, plus storage, plus ALL utilities plus Heating / AC.....pushed it to unnaffordable. The building is still under construction, so like your friend next year who knows what I'd find! Unlike you though, as much as I'd love a cozy space I don't have paintings I have display cases and bookshelves and a high-end flight simulation setup which takes much more room than this 1-bedroom can hold!

Looks like a service apartment. Really need a lot of documents. The landlords don't want to take any risk. 99.9% risk free income stream.
