Maybe true but the quarterback is not worth the contract. Breakups (firings or whatever) are bad regardless of how it’s done. Lastly, everybody in the building answers to Payton. Everybody. He only answers to Walton, Penner. If/when he finds a better replacement for Russ none of this will matter.
If those reports about his contract are true that entire front office and coaching staff should go. Absolutely disgusting behavior by that team

Russell has issues with every coach. Tried to get Pete fired got the other coach fired.
Is he though? Where were all these opinions about these things before? He's selling a narrative. Never heard him speak on knowing Sean & Russ weren't going to be a match before. But he'll say he knew it wasn't from the beginning now that all this has gone done.
He sounds like a b1tch TBH
Stating that you should treat Russ with respect is not a narrative... that's a fact!!!
@IamwhoIam800blk What's your point? We should all treat each other with respect.
I always love the passion and energy Ryan speaks with.
RC just gave Sean Payton a whooping.. good job RC
Lame how people side with things just because they like the tone instead of actually applying context. Ryan is basically stepping into a character like a film student would on stage. You just decided to buy him playing this character. I'm slightly entertained by it, but not fooled into thinking he's making some solid analysis. Real easy to shoot shots after the fact. Where were all these opinions about already knowing it wouldn't work before everything went down? Didn't hear that. Give him credit for being smart enough to understand his crowd though and how to the puppet them with the same theatrics a preacher uses at church.
Would it be okay for Wilson to scream at Payton after he let Miami score 70 points on them? Payton has lost a lot of respect from many people since he joined Denver and the ownership group will realize players won't sign there and they'll release Payton within two years.
Not soon enough. He needs to go now. I hated the hiring the moment it was announced

Its nothing but a distraction for what really is going on. Sean never liked Russ from the get go and this is the perfect way to exploit that while hiding under the "business decision" shield. Starting QBs aint getting benched and treated like that on the sidelines if their coaches respect them. Also Russ knew about being benched a while back and still went out there like a professional.

The Broncos are acting unprofessionally with Wilson, who has been a good team player and has performed well by the numbers. They have a team problem, and Payton doesn't want to be responsible. Being accountable and professional could be the spark they are looking for.
The Bronco's do have a team problem and its going to continue for the duration of the outrageously overpriced contract they gave their QB so we can be mad at anyone we want nothing is going to change there anytime soon
Spot on.
As a Seahawks fan, my respect to the Seahawks organization and coach Pete Carroll just grew even more. Russ was never treated like this during his tenure with the Seahawks.
That's why he was diva and was the biggest problem on the team.
That was where they fucked up lol what do you mean?? Finally someone got real with Russ for once in his life instead of sugarcoating and handholding everything.

Low key ryan clark the goat
The legion of boom literally bullied Russ and told him he wasn't black enough. Would you want to have a personal relationship with people like that? RW got them to (2) SB without the pay. He deserves the money he's finally getting. Sean Payton deserves the street.
*Well said by Ryan Sean Payton is a joke as a coach a lot of those old dudes are the past and need to be fired*
Here's the thing that russ haters overlook. With this information presented to russ, and his team, he KNEW he was going to get cut from the team and still went out, and played for the team, for the fans. Say what you want about how much you dislike him, how he is overrated, or how he's a terrible qb, Russ is the standard for professionalism.
What? He is going to get paid $124 mio for two seasons with the broncos. That’s $3.9 mio per game played. Maybe that motivated him a bit?

You’re Wrong Russ took advantage of the situation to get that contract the broncos had no owners and had a suck up head coach that let pleurae’s do whatever it is they wanted so he used that to his leverage to get this contract now you have owners and a coach who wasn’t their and probably never would’ve given him that contract sitting here doing what’s best for them at the end of the day they should split up
Bruh I absolutely loved this segment! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 they’re so right.
Payton’s play calling has been highly questionable. Most his plays involved predictable running and going for it/gotta have it on 3rd downs…Russ wasn’t responsible for 70pts being put up on Denver. Defense has let down the team majority of their losses. While Russ isn’t vintage while in Denver he’s much better than last year when he arrived.
True just like this last game. The defense let them pick em apart.
Why does he call 100 we screens a game
For some reason he still thinks it’s 2008.. If I can see what he’s doing sitting on the couch, other teams obviously know it too
Because that's the only offense RW could run. Did the offense look anything like it did in New Orleans? Of course it didn't because Wilson couldn't run it. You act like he was purposely sabotaged when Sp is the only reason why he had any success.
Then explain why he was sucessful with Pete Carroll if Sean Peyton was responsable for that? @@-JackVenom

He's being paid like an elite QB and clearly isn't.
@Paulafan5 it doesn't excuse SP disrespect towards RW. He talked to RW like a child. It was embarrassing and humiliating.
How many rushing touchdowns does this team have? How many times did the defense lay eggs? I'm a lifelong Bronco fan and will tell you that the team has been run poorly. Russ has played well enough for thus team to get into the playoffs. Sean Payton is a control freak that has held Russ back and sabotaged him at every turn. This makes me sick to my stomach.
Russ is not it. You guys had a better defense last year. It was ruined by Wilson trash playing.
@@user-ll6zn3xv9v more lies , try again
It's more than Russ though. I'll Gove you that Russ holds the ball too long at times. However I can say SP play calling is very vanilla. He force feeds JW way to much and he ain't the same rb since that injury. It's run run screen pass. It's vanilla play calling and predictable. Now the online has been good this year but let's not act like after Sutton Wilson has a viable target. Our TEs stay hurt and are not game changers. You saw how bad the offense looked against the pats after Sutton went down. So it's a lot of different aspects. I wish Russ had Tim Patrick one of these two years I really think that would have helped the offense.
When Payton first got there and threw his weight around I was ok with it. I thought it was strategic. This stuff lately seems personal, he needs to check his ego.
Completely agree with Ryan and Dan. Terrible treatment of a great quarterback and more importantly a great man.
Can’t believe I’m saying this but I actually agree with Orlovsky. Ryan as usual is spot on.
Put Russ on Pittsburgh or Atlanta and they immediately turn into a Super Bowl contender. Mark my words. Wilson had 26 TDs and 8 INTs with his #1 weapon being Courtland Sutton. Patrick Mahomes, reigning NFL and Super Bowl MVP, who also has a terrible offense except he has Travis Kelce who I think everyone with a pulse including Sutton and his parents would agree is at least 10x better than Sutton. Plus the Broncos signed sub par pass blocker but supposedly great run blocker Mike McGlinchey to a massive contract. Their RB, Javonte Williams is averaging 3.5 yards a carry.
Marvin Mims, who’s only in the NFL because of his ability to catch the deep ball (and everyone knows Russell Wilson still throws the best deep ball in the NFL) only played 38% on Broncos offensive snaps this season (even when he was healthy).
The timeouts Payton took at the end of the Pats game when Zeke ran for 6 yards on 2nd 4 should’ve been enough to be a fireable offense.
I would be willing to bet anything the Broncos win fewer games than Russell Wilson does the next 3 seasons.
I hope Russ does them no favors so they get no assets and have to eat all the money and so he gets his pick to exactly where he wants to go. Again, Atlanta with Bijan, Pitts, London and that really good young defense would be a problem especially in that division. Pitts is a guy who could have 1500 yards catching passes from Russ burning linebackers, safeties and nickel DBs at will.
Put Russ in Pittsburgh or Atlanta and they immediately become disappointed. All your yapping is the same song being song about Russ to Denver. Seattle had no weapons, no pass blocking, blah blah blah. Now Denver magically doesn’t have anything either. He’s not getting younger, bigger, faster, or smarter at 35+. His raw numbers don’t tell the whole story. That’s why his QBR is 21st in the league.
No, its not...he currently has the same stats as Mahomes. ESPN did a side by side comparison. He is top 12 now but only because of Peyton's trash play calling.
Wilson in ATL with that young team would be nasty for the NFC South. They would definitely compete with TB
@@ecpracticesquad4674 everything I said was understood about Denver. Sutton struggled after his torn ACL. Their line was terrible so they signed McGlinchey even though he’s a subpar pass blocker. Everyone knows Jeudy has been a bust. Their #3 has been a rotation of unproductive, undrafted free agents. Their tight end Dulcich was hurt.
What planet are you living on? You actually think Denver has weapons on offense? There’s maybe a handful of QBs who could’ve put up 26 TDs and 8 INTs with this joke of an offense.
@@kimm3375 Payton literally sabotaged Russ so he could get rid of him and not assume any blame always going back to “he’s not my guy”.
I can’t WAIT to see the Broncos offense next year if they return 80% of that unit back and start Stidham at QB. By mid season they’ll have Sutton taking direct snaps running RPOs
Asking Russ to alter his Contract was foul. Benching him was solely about money (not winning)

The Broncos leadership at fault in the first place for this huge mess.
First they hired Hackett to try and lure Aaron Rogers. When that didn't work, they pivoted to Russ. The person they should have fired first is the GM. Hire someone from the top that has the experience and success. Then get your coach. Work with the coach on who you want as a QB.
