"Wake up samurai, we got a city to burn"
Underrated
I’m just imagining Jonny silverhand but with the “Disney frozen” arm
@@Whats-Kraken or the adam jensen arm, would fit him like a glove.
Yes, just yest to every comment
Wait let me get another weapon in this *souls-like game*
Oh wait
You know when I was a kid I was terrified of losing a limb in an accident, I mean everyone is right? But with the way bionics is improving more and more it's becoming less and less worrisome. These people are pioneers and while these limbs can't replace ones they've lost it must be so amazing to have use of an arm or leg again like that. I can't wait to see how far it goes down the road.
Bionic limbs are cool and all but I think I'll have to sell myself to afford one
Yeah ur right I'm gonna ride my bike 100 mph the wrong way into incoming traffic I'm not worried at all
in like 50 years they'll probably have bionic arms that are better than real ones 😂
But also keep In mind that a bionic arm will never become as capable as the real biological arm could because the biological arm is designed to do many more jobs than just grab things and move around like climbing, swimming, and digging plus a bionic arm is more vulnerable to the elements of erosion and wear and tear
@@Guest4465 I dunno man, I think human arms are quite suspectible to erosion and wear and tear, too. A lightweight, waterproof and functional prothetic arm with a good response time wouldn't really be worse if it can be optimised further than we have currently been able to achieve.
Anything that can help a child live a normal life is absolutely amazing in my opinion. The fact the girl said her arm makes her siblings jealous, I can only imagine it must change something she's always seen as a disability into something to take pride in. Amazing, and I hope this tech keeps advancing.
Kids, if not poisoned by prejudgement from adults, are mostly fascinated and even sometimes get jealous.
I have an prosthetic leg, which is basicly a foot and a carbon fibre shell around my normal leg and kids were always curious and sometimes amazed.
It's like a superpower "Go ahead, kick me, it will hurt you more than me".
Normally the kids are pretty good at arranging themselfs with the situation they are in. I can't go skiing, or skating, or run fast, so what? As a kid that was okay for me, and now it is okay for me too.
I think the worst is, when someone healthy looses a limb and suddenly abruptly gets confronted with everything they can no longer do. It seems to be easier to be born with it.
I mean I know people who lost limbs in terrible accidents and life a quite happy life, but I think it is worse to always get remembered by things, that were normal once.
I wouldn't say normal, but better. I may not be missing a limb but I crave for the day where rock climbers use their prosthetics to get a better grip on cliffs, or a roller blader to be able to add wheels on their prosthetics for faster travel. I don't see prosthetics as something that can give back but as something that can go farther than the limits of our mortal fleshy vessels.
Everyone gangster until her siblings try to lose an arm
I even heard of kids that were jealous of braces, not because they needed them but because they thought they are cool :P
@@dag1704 that is a great attitude. glad you are doing fine :)
Finally, cheaper but cooler. You guys took prosthetics to the next level
Imagine making superhero inspired bionic arms and you don't make Winter Soldier one...
I second this
Tbh these things are pretty personally done, so they can probably send a note with the form asking about the printing or whatever, they clearly have a marvel relationship
That's not how you spell Punished "Venom" Snake

How to get a super cool robotic arm:
Google: You can make one using glue and paper
Bing: Cut your own arm
xD 😂
Ops... i think i gotta go 🏃🏃🏃
Whoa
Fun fact, there is a whole game that talks about that Bing search result
@@majoraccident1924 tell me more about that
Holy shit. I survived long enough for bionic limbs to become a reality.
Bionic limbs have been around for decades. They simply sucked and were expensive.
The rise of the cyborgs
2nd girl, perfection right there with them bionic hands. gorgeous and sleek, almost like real life battle angel. wouldn't be surprised if the bionic hands became so advanced one day, people would purposely have their real life limbs replaced with hyper advanced bionics.
Big Boss - "I am you, and you are me."
Not gonna lie having a robotic arm customized like iron man is pretty freaking sweet!
Creative way to turn one sadness of loosing arm into proud kids that make their friends jealous!
I even thought for additional module embedded into prosthetic, such as bluetooth or wifi as part of IoT. They can turn lamp on or off, change TV channel or its volume and more.. 😀
I remember being overseas and thinking about all the guys who lost limbs and got sent home. I remember thinking how would you go on, how would you manage just mentally. I'm really glad stuff like this is caught up with the time. It definitely makes me think that if I ever gotten that position like those guys were in, it'd be a little easier to see the light in the tunnel. Really glad you guys do this stuff.
Me: that’s pretty cool
My brain: Detroit: Become Human
Fr Markus manipulating with his arm 😂
Truly incredible, I love the design of those prosthetics they look like something out of a sci-fi movie
A BB8 bionic arm? But BB8 doesn't even have arms! A C3PO arm would be cool af tho
It has several arms inside the ball - like the one with the lighter 'finger' that it flips the bird with.
This is so heart warming to see the reaction of pure joy
that’s awesome. so glad we’ve come this far in science and the medical field
Looks like cyberpunk might not be to far off
We got a city to burn
This and the Neuralink is gonna go crazy
I'm glad that something is available, although it still looks a bit clumsy. It's a good thing, though, that soon people with missing arms will be able to function as well as anyone else.
Gamers: WHERE'S THE RGB?!?!
Rgb is overrated.
Thats the easiest thing to build in.
Just tap into the power with some LEDs and you're shining like a gay rainbow
Nvidia is probably working on it
@@FazedSoul Ding dong your opinion is wrong
@@turborooster8548 maybe, but I don't prefer so much flashing colours. It's just my opinion.
I cannot wait to see this tech develop further! I hope I live to see those prosthetics move and flow as responsive as the real deal
I scared of losing limbs not from the loss of mobility but the loss of touch, i can’t imagine not being able to feel things
That Deus ex arm tho ♥️
Its Boss' arm from Metal Gear Solid V
@@legendofnone3037 it literally says "Deus ex" in the prothesis. 🤦♂️
Nanomachines, son.
They never asked for this...
@@albanui6354 I'm glad someone finally said it.
So awesome. When I see stuff like this, I feel like we are truly living in the future
Well it looks like we're finally getting into *that* stage of our cyberpunk dystopia.
Time to cut off my arm!
Amazing! Can't wait to see what the future holds! 👌
Awesome congratulations guys on the great work hope to see more from you guys in the future keep it up
This low key looks fake, but at the same time, I know Prosthesis have come very far
It is actually real. It has been around in the UK for several years
@@l.a.k thanks for restating is real
Imagine you have handyman's plyers for an arm. That's what it feels to have a "bionic arm".
I'm more worried about the fact that kids grow very quickly. A simple arm like this already costs A LOT, but who has the money to get a new arm every year or 6 months ?
I will never thank you enough for this. You're making this world better.
I just sprain my wrist trying to do that finger trick the girl in the begining did.
Like how even? How did she do that?
"This makes me motivated to cut my arm"
I'm 40 years old and I'm about to remove my arm. I'll take one IronMan please.
So now it is available here in USA I lost my right arm about 15 years ago and the last prosthetic that I got was from Hanger can you please tell me how I can obtain one thank you and great work!
Hey Ezequiel. Thanks for commenting! Please register interest for a Hero Arm on our website, and we'll refer you to your nearest clinic. www.openbionics.com/sign-up
I wonder when fine motor control prosthetics will be made?
Probably really soon I think
They're working on it. Issue isn't so much in the fine motor control itself (the servos in this one could be programmed to do a sub-1° creep movement), but in providing accurate feedback to the user to control the thing.
Definitely very cool, I can't wait to see arms with more precision in the future. I would hate to lose a limb, but I think a bionic arm would definitely be cool.
If I ever need one of this I hope they make a gamer version. I need my fingers to be quick.
Bro, I'm not even missing any arms and I want one. Things like that some how ease any irrational fear I have about losing limbs because they're so dang cool.
"Affordable!"
NOW ONLY 50K INSTEAD OF 100K
200 dollars
Please don't spread misinformation. It took 2 seconds to look up the price. These start at $3,000. Down from the 95k the competition charges.
@@ChrisD__ Start at $5,000, is for cosmetic (non functional prosthetics), $10,000 will get you a hook, and $20,000-$100,000 will get you a myoelectric prosthetic limb.
Also it was a joke :P
Great work guys!
I love how we went from super realistic prostetics to limbs we see im futuristic movies. They both look amazing, i just rather walk around with a cool looking fake thing. As a fake thing thats slightlybresembels the real deal
I’m a LBKA, and I am EXTREMELY JEALOUS of these prosthesis!!
“My siblings kinda wish they had one”
MEANWHILE:
I'm watching this because I read in my English book about Open Bionics, and dude, I'm so happy
Man, I'd be jealous too! They look so cool! Just imagine how they're going to develop in the future!
Dude, the science behind prosthetics really interest me, this shit is really cool
Ready for battle against bullies.
This is amazing. Who knows how amazing these prosthesis will be once the points of articulation have been perfected...hell, maybe they could even surpass our own organic human ability some day.
great work
Fantastic.
This is super cool! Kinda wish they’d shown at least one person flippin the bird tho. Even if it was pixelated lol.
The girl posing like box with the prosthetic arm looks like cyberpunk bc they are so beautiful made. Also shes beautiful too
I love seen people happy by having one of these this may change their lives for ever 😊
Time is precious. Dedication to use your time for the betterment of humankind is invaluable.
"The future is now old man"
Damn! That's really cool.
Being born with a missing left hand, this could be life changing for me. I've been following you and your work for the past few years and have been counting the days until these become available in the United States. Could one of these be in my future? I hope so!
James i wish you the best james good luck glad this tech is finally getting to such amazing potential
Hey James! We hope so too. If you've registered interest on our website, we'll be in touch very soon to intro you to your nearest Hanger clinic for a free evaluation. If you have any questions, please give us a shout on hello@openbionics.com :)
BOSS....? IS THAT YOU!!!
Really amazing work I’m surprised to see development and release to market so close together, you never see this especially when it’s something necessary
imagine fighting someone with metal arms
Been waiting for this!!
Nice!!!! When i loose an arm, i want that one!
They could be Ufc fighters in the future.
I saw your bionic arm in a world record book!
Who cut all these onions in here? My eye is doing that leaking thing again! MOOOOM
Can't wait until prosthetics go from "unfortunate but cool necessity" to "cool upgrade"
This is a look at a new age. We are getting closer to the future that has been dreamnt about and mentioned in movies. Before you know it everyone will have bionic organs and limbs. My legs and arms are 100%intact but I'd love robot legs. I could run longer, stand longer. So many advancements.
Everything gonna be cyberpunk 2077
The best part was all the smiles
Id probably make a middle finger with the arm and detach it and pass it on to my friend during class
god! it is so amazing!!! i hope hero arm to be available in korea soon
"Wake the Fu** up Samurai.... We got a city to burn"
Does it come in "Stun Arm" and "Rocket Arm" too?
ROCKEET PUUUUUNCH
HAIDARAAAA
Thanks for help the humanity open bionics
Please tell me they're making these bionic arms in the Seychelles Waters at Mother Base.
The price for these is 10k to over 50k for the hand and wrist, above the elbow starts getting into crazy money.
*Cyberpunk 2077 bass boosted theme plays*
Every day... We stray closer to full metal alchemist
My exact thoughts
It all fun game until those beeping green light in the hand turn into red
One step closer to automail arms. What a cool arm
I need this for cloudy.
Man I need to get my left hand amputated, so I can become ambidextrous with the hero arm.
This is honestly so damn cool to see
I would love to have a winter soldier arm
She's a meta runner
amazing tool!!!!!!!
Honestly.. people saying that bionic limbs are improving really fast -i kinda don't have that feeling. They were making hand just like these 10+ years ago. But the price has probably gone down significantly - especially thanks to 3D printing -so the biggest leap forward we have seen is in the availability of these prosthetics, which is awesome in of itself.
This LOOKS great. But how does it work? Notice they didnt go into technicals with us. How will sliding that on my nub allow me too use it?
Are these the same guys who got Robert Downy Jr. to personally give a little boy an Iron Man themed arm complete with a Stark Industries carrying case?
How they control the bionic arm? These stuff got awesome design..
Real talk
If they can replace the arm
Why not give them more than two.
"Open Bionics x Deus Ex"
damn they're really leaning into that futuristic video game theme
Metal Gear Solid: we all are naked snakes
I want them to come to South Carolina (specifically the Pawleys Island/Myrtle Beach area) so I could work on cybernetics.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine. Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass that you call a temple will wither and you'll beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved. For the machine is immortal.
This is so great! I hope insurance companies don't ruin it
This is actually really sick I’m glad these kids are able to get back to some sort of normalcy after losing a limb.
Mechromancer from borderlands 2 be like
This allmost made me cry haha so happy for that kid 🤩

That guy got the Adam Jensen arm, in a few years, this tech would be advanced, and probably will be regulated, for the people who needs it
