Hint to people reading this, don’t click the links, I will watch these UA-camrs and do my own research on the hair, most of them never give updates on the hair after wearing it for about a month as soon as they do the initial video they take it off and move on to the next sponsorship
Yes, as consumers we have to be careful. However, I have looked at over 100 wigs in the past few months from 9 companies and every. Single. Website. Has multiple reviews using the same picture. This tells me that the reviewers are probably not accurate and may be fake. Again, i have seen this on multiple “reputable” websites. So how do we, as consumers, then delineate between good and bad companies….?
Yes influencers do receive better wigs than us consumers. I purchased a wig from an influencer here on YT and the wig is fuller and has a better quality of hair. When I wear the wig people always ask where I purchase it from because it’s so full and thick. Keep doing your thing Caroline and ignore the haters!
I follow another influencer and she absolutely calls out these wig companies. I’ve heard her say send them the same wig you send me. Well, I realize that wig reviews are an influencers bread and butter, given an honest review of the product holds them accountable. If they send you a 200 density wig, they need to send that same work to us if that’s what they’re offering. you’re absolutely correct we need to be savvy Consumers, but from my vantage point, looking at the reviews and watching the influencers talk about the units ultimately help me make my decision. Thank you for being candid and sharing
@@sequitawhitehead6584 and you knew who I was talking about without me mentioning her name. When ya know.. ya know.. i wish though more influencers did follow up videos like she did on this one
It’s sad that this is one of the few truly honest review videos that I’ve seen. You’re not bashing the company or overly critical, I see it as just telling us the truth. Thank you and I hope that you do get more sponsorships in the future, because this is the kind of review I like!
I remember watching a wig review from an influencer on UA-cam and her video, the hair looked so good but when I got it , it wasn’t as full and it was shedding a lot. And within few months, it had loss length so yeah I do believe they send good wigs to influencers but it’s not fair on us to be spending couple of hundreds of dollars just to receive less hair and not good quality too.
It really don’t matter the point is they send y’all a different wig than they send us plain and simple But thank you so very much for doing this much needed Because sending us a different wig is crazy
I watch influencers to get a better view than the stock card or website, but I have my guard up now. I ordered from a company that was recommended by several influencers. They sent me to wrong wig, is was the wrong color, cut and type. it had none of the free goodies promised on the website. Then they tried to get me to wash it and fix it, as if washing is going to turn a #2 layered lace wig into a 1B straight bob/precut lace wig... I eventually had to buy another, more expensive wig to get the one I wanted, and waited a week after I paid the difference for them to contact me with return instructions they could have given me upfront. I paid for shipping for the return and the new unit, which I am still waiting for it to ship. At this point I just want my money back, because I just don't trust them. I think I'll stick to the wigs at the local Beauty stores from now on.
I will order wigs in either of my 2 sisters name (who don’t live with me) just to see if others are getting the same quality. Sometimes there’s no difference and very seldom there is. And I agree about people needed to also do their due diligence and research a product before they buy not just only rely on someone else’s experience. It goes both ways. And lastly as influencers we’re not responsible for these hair companies sending out different qualities 😩 that’s wrong of them but not in our control
I don't think consumers believe that influencers are responsible for the quality of a company's wig. However influencers are 100% responsible for not calling out companies when their viewership confirm unanimously that the quality right out of the box is less than what the influencer received. Brand trust and credibility is just as integral to your brand as the renumeration received from these brands.
Some companys are really shady but I agree with you that how you install the hair and style it plays a huge role !! So make sure to do your research and hope for the best I guess
Hey! I personally feel like you could of went in depth in a few parts on this review. I was interested in how you chose to cut the wig, looks like you cut more than you showed. Along with what did you use to enhance the part to look like it’s coming from your scalp. Products you used to define your curls..
Good point! The video it’s self was really lengthy and I had a hard time trying to see what is I should’ve kept in the video vs what to take out. But everything I did is something I’ve done and explained a lot in all my videos so it felt repetitive. And the I did show how I cut the wig, it was just an even blunt cut at the ends. And for the part I added a light color concealer. And product used was Nairobi mouse. I have a few detailed curly hair routine videos that I’ll all link in the description box. But for sure I’ll include those details in the next video like this. Thanks for the feedback!
We should get the same as influencer it's not fair and to the companies that do this is wrong and if I order a wig and I don't get the same I will put that company on blast because if we spend our money we should get the same...
This was a good video Caroline so interesting. I honestly feel like companies also do this with lengths of hair. Whenever I watch someone say that their wig is 18 inches and it’s down their back I get so confused because my 18 inches is swinging by my chin 😂 I feel like they definitely exaggerate influencers wigs and I love how open you are about it ❤❤
I love AlwaysAmeera and her wig review, I’ve bought a lot of wigs base her opinion and reviews and they were great just like she said! Ameera is always honest with her reviews and she’s never steered me wrong! I don’t know why you have her picture in your thumbnail, but I’m subscribed to you both and I can tell you she’s always keeps it a buck about her units she gets, and she have bought wigs with her own money to review as well! And Ameera never does ads for these companies, they steal a lot of her pictures and videos she’s talk about this and she has bought the her before plenty of times in her own name too! I hope you are not trying too Insinuate that she is not being honest about her reviews or just doing her reviews blindly, because she works very hard and I would hate to see someone trying to insinuate negative things about her content! These weed companies are not gonna always stay consistent and that is nobodies fault but there’s, And sometimes they fall off on the quality of the weeks after it becomes popular but it’s not a content creators fault! It happens all the time with companies they’ll be doing good for a while and then they fall off on the quality control! And you probably also need to watch and see the technique that she uses on her wigs every time to get the look that she gets, I use her techniques and I get my weeks to look the same exact way that she does!
Babe, I understand you’re defending someone you love and that’s great but… I don’t think you watched my video completely or maybe you missed the message. Even started the video saying hair influencers are not the culprit nor do they deserve any hate. didn’t even said she lied this video has nothing negative to say about her. only used her thumbnail because it’s the wig on the website and the one she reviewed, I even mentioned how it’s all about good styling which is what we influencers do we know how to make hair look good. I love that you’re defending her, but I feel it’s really misdirected. This video is more to shed light on the companies. She’s great, I said I love her. Please take a moment to fully watch the video and I feel you’ll understand what I was saying.
The conclusion of the video is that yes it’s the same wig as in style and quality, but they did send us influencers a slightly thicker wig. But I understand maybe because of marketing and for photos they need it to look as fuller. I can say with my chest the wig she reviewed isn’t the same wig you’ll get density wise. It’s not as thick nor is it styled the same. Not her fault, not mines. It’s marketing. We are models and an Ad for these companies.
Don't know other hair companies. But April lace wigs company doesn't make any differences between the wigs to influencers and the wigs to our customers.
I think this is a dangerous slippery slope you are doing, possibly trying to discredit another Content Creator who works very hard! You could do videos like this without putting other Content Creators face and name on the line and trying to discredit them without even watching her videos on her technique on how she does her wigs to get the look she gets, I use her technique to get the same look to my wigs. I am very disappointed you are trying to affect people’s opinion of her reviews and try to call in question her honesty, this is her full job is being a Content Creator and you are trying to affect that, shame on you! You could’ve easily done this review without naming names or showing any pictures of anybody, this was being very messy and trying to play with other peoples pockets for no reason! I’m definitely unsubscribing to you which is unfortunate, i’ve been subscribed to you for a while and never expect you to do something like that to someone else! I’ve been subscribed to AlwaysAmeera for a year’s and have bought plenty under her recommendation and her techniques that I use myself, that’s why I’m going UP for her this hard, because I know she honest!
