Liked the video just for the slow-clap worthy 360. The sense of humor is still top notch.

Great review as always Chris, the humour is always a welcome sight. This lid looks fantastic but to be honest I'd take the Shoei for the drop down viser alone. Personally for me I'm not a fan of the fixings around the lid, it always looks like something is missing. Love to see you guys do a tail bag review to store the helmet on a bike

Enjoyed that CIAC, be interested to see how it would stack up against my Davida

Tks, Chris. To add to your list about classic-styled open face helmets with changeable cheekpads, please seriously check out the HJC FG70 S. FG for fiberglass. (The US gets the IS version, which is polycarbonate)
Costs circa GBP120, I fell in love with my white assymetical striped Landon version. It's got full removable liner and cheekpads, there are fine slits in the front of the lining for airflow. It's ECE 22-05 certified. It's got drop down light smoke visor.
And for those reminiscing the 70s, one could even buy a Luke Skywalker X-wing fighter pilot replica with an orange tinted visor!!
I loved the FG70S Landon so much that I sold my Arai Classic DC (a pre- Arai Urban-V version classic openface helmet). It's been my mainstay dry weather helmet since 2018, to complement my Bullit Carbon when the weather and road risk conditions increase.

    As always... enjoyed your video.
I do have one question: What size are the shell sizes that Arai uses for this model? I fall into the “small” size according to their sizing chart.
But I surely wouldn’t want a large sized shell stuffed with extra padding just to make it fit my head size.
    Thanks very much....
Truly enjoy all of your videos.. 👍👍

I've had my Arai open face for a couple of years now, purchased from a lesser vendor. It is every bit as good as you say. Highly recommended if you want a pi** pot lid!
Are you planning on stocking the Sena Savage open face with built in comms at all? Very interested in one , but seem unable to find a retailer that keeps them in stock for fitting.

Dear Paul, we know the helmet, and have had a few in for customers. Truth be told, I am not sure that it’s a brilliant helmet; and it won’t fit everybody. But the comms. facility works impressively well, given that it’s an open face. Not many retailers want to stock it, because the margin offered by Sena makes selling the helmet barely worthwhile, but if you are in this area, I would be happy to get a couple of sizes in for you to try. If it doesn’t work out, I can send them back. CP

I am in the market for one of these and hoping maybe you still check comments for this video. I own the Arai Signet-X helmet. Would my size be the same for the Urban-V?

How loud is the helmet? Lets say compared to a Schuberth SR2 (just to have an idea).

Open faced helmets can be nice and quiet, despite popular conceptions (for example Davida helmets). Could you please add a comment on this feature of the Arai? Thanks, Bob

Motolegends are brilliant at saying: "We'll make you feel good AND clever by spending more than the average Joe on your gear." Hey, I readily admit that I too like to feel good and clever ...

Bit too much talking, how many shell sizes?
Can you put it on your head and compare it to other open faces. Good to see the helmet sitting next to other helmets for shell size comparisons

Yes, Arai's helmets are not made in China but are made by Chinese in their factory. Lol...
