Damn you are a good man! Adjusting this annoyance was on my “to do” list this weekend and you beat me to it. At least I know which way to go with the nuts as I by chance always try the wrong direction first in these situations. You took the guess work out of it my friend, thank you. You are 1 or 2 videos away from at least a few shares of cfmoto stock owed to you, from them! I wont sleep until I find something to share with you about the uforce that you dont already know and I can return the favors. You and the pups take care ☝️
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah as cfmoto owners we tend to get that "all alone and a long way from home feeling! " so as I figure stuff out I share it, because I know how hard it was to find, and it shouldn't be. Currently, as we speak, I'm in my shop installing some front and rear blinkers with relays and flashers. Got everything working right on the bench, now install and wire up. Stupid they change them to NOT come wired from the factory. And I'm not paying $1,400 for all new lights with the blinkers built in. Our US stock lights cannot be used. I looked into using the stock running lights, then discovered they run 2 different circuits on them so I decided to just run my own circuit and play it safe.
Great video! Everything is shifting fine except it won’t show “park” on the dash. I’ve adjusted it both ways and can’t seem to get it. Should I just keep trying or attempt to find the other adjustment under the dash? Just got the machine.
I'd keep trying it there. It can be very touchy. The one under the dash seems hard to get to. It's amazing this long after the "known issue" they're still being set up improperly from the dealers.
Yeah I think they set them up from the dealer, they work once and leave it, moving on to the next thing on their list to set up. I don't think (the dealers) realize they need a little testing to make sure they're set right.
Have you ever had an issue while it said it was in gear and once you gave it gas it would make a loud grinding noise and not move? This only happens in high gear, and I have also had this happen to me while I was driving in high gear. It does not do it every time. Low gear works fine and no issues with that at all.
Me too, and I never adjusted it, because it really didn't bother me, but once I found out how easy it was, should've done it day 1. And I can see how a dealer could set it up, see it works once or twice and move on, so I can't blame them entirely.
My 2022 Uforce 1000 seems to shift pretty easily in and out of gears when it’s on flat ground for the most part but when it’s on any little bit of an incline it’ll fight me. You think I should try to adjust mine also or is this normal for being on uneven ground? I’m not talking about steep hills either. Just sometimes barely enough to make the dang thing roll in neutral if you know what I mean
No, I haven't. Is your linkage adjusted correctly? I'm not sure if that would affect it. I don't remember the operating procedure, so I'll ask you if you know if you need to shift while in neutral or not.
Just took my new machine for a ride and I went from low to high and apparently it wasnt in all the way and then it slammed into high… did not sound good at all😬
Whoopsie! Yeah plus never do it while moving. It's the single largest damage done is shifting while moving and switching the 4x4 lock while moving. Mostly done when the kids are riding it. My buddy's mother ruined his differential when she took it for a "quick" ride.
@@ironheadbiker yea thats the thing, i was stopped when i shifted it into high.. it just never went… i just adjusted the linkage and it seems better now
@@ironheadbiker hey im reading the manual and with the key on, and pressing adj button my instrument panel should dim. It wont adjust. Any suggestions?
Haven’t even put 250 miles on mine and now it won’t start. Turns over fine, checked all fuses/relays, nothing. Dealer closed for the week. Anybody had this issue?
@@Delmarksman it was a dirty fuel injector they said, came from the factory with some bad gas most likely. Hasn’t given me any trouble since. I’ve had the parking engage issue, it’s just an adjustment on the shifter but mine isn’t that bad, just has to be moved around some to register.
@@jonny5269 Thanks! Really appreciate the reply! I'm in the market for an SxS and had never even heard of CFM until a couple months ago. Automatically, I just wrote them off and not just because of who & where they're made. Polaris rules around here. But the cost of them is insane! Needless to say, I'm very surprised and let's say cautiously optimistic about the following that CFM has. I want to be an informed consumer and am reading/ watching everything I can on them, particularly trying to decide on a specific model that is best suited for my needs. The hurdle is no dealer near me has anything to look at or try. And so, reading comments and responses, like yours, is 99% of my knowledge base. I would have to go out of state to get anything! Thank you again for the reply and FWIW, just last night I had to put a bottle of fuel dryer and injector cleaner into my TRD Offroad Tacoma, because it was running poorly all of a sudden, so that can happen to any vehicle.
Yeah thanks. I think that is just dealer set up error. I'm sure they hooked it up, it worked, they moved on to the next step. I didn't notice it at first until I was on a little grade and it started to roll.

Your a good man u saved me a trip back to the dealer. Mine does the same think
Did yours jump out of park. Mine did

Good stuff Scott! You want it working properly.
Thanks!
My '23 U1000 won't go into Park and says Neutral when in the Park position on the shifter. All other gears work fine. Will try this.
Yep, like mine would do. This should help
GOOD VIDEO MAN GOTA DO THE SAME TO MINE, ITS REAL HARD SHIFTIN TOO, MAYBE COULD USE SOME LUBE

That's your linkage being out of adjustment. That's how I went to look at fixing mine.
I went the other way and mine shifts smooth all the time now.
Good to hear! Yeah mine is been perfect once I adjusted it. Great machines! Great value
Yes they are I went from a pioneer 500 to the Uforce 600
Mine was the same way from day 1

@@ironheadbiker that’s a good point. Appreciate it
Good info!
Thank you sir! Pretty easy fix to a common minor problem.
I don’t know if you have messenger, but I sent you some information on messenger.
I do I'll check in. Thanks
Donde se encuentra la pieza para ajustar?
Have you had any issues shifting to 4x4, I keep blowing actuator motors and fuses. Doesn't seem to be locking the front and gets jammed and then pop

Yeh that was my next question. I know mine shifted hard, clunked into the gears sometimes, now it's smooth and nice.
@@ironheadbiker hey im reading the manual and with the key on, and pressing adj button my instrument panel should dim. It wont adjust. Any suggestions?
If it's a uforce1000 one of the switches dims the display.
Did yours jump out of park
Never jumped out of park, just wouldn't engage (sometimes) in park when I moved the selector to the park position
