It was great to see and hear this track live. Nik chose some excellent musicians to pull off songs like this. The bass player caught my eye, but the keyboard player was outstanding too.
I think the keyboards player played the main notes but not all, it's really very fast! Furthermore, I have always wondered how the percussion part during the first 5 seconds of the song was constructed. It's not the drummer who plays them. I think it was originally a drum machine with reverb?
One of my favorite Nik's song.. It's the first live version I ever listened..❤
Great to see this being done live. I thought the keyboard part would be through an arpeggiator but it looked like it was played by hand. Not easy.

What a lovely evening!
The best!
Brilliant gig... 🙂
@@andyjordanmusic3129 It certainly was 👍😊
That bassline is so Parliament P.Funk like 👍
@@TelexToTexel Thank Mark King for the creation!
@@raindrums7496 Did King create the bass riff ? He is credited with Bass/Guest on The Riddle album, but gets no writing credits for Easy ?
@@TelexToTexel I presume he had a hand in creating it though Nik wrote the song, but it's his playing on the record which is what created that magic.
