I was there, just out of shot, to the left, by the speakers. I heard the vocals perfectly. However, I saw them at Patterns in Brighton a couple of years ago and heard no vocals at all. But speaking to other people after the gig, they heard the vocals fine that night. I wonder if it's something to do with their specific set-up that there seem to be 'dead spots' for vocals at Melt Banana gigs..? I see a lot of live music and this is the only band I've ever experienced this with. Still, great to see them again!

Ohhhhhh...this is a train wreck. LOVED TD back in the day, and the videos were just as good as the music, but this just feels like...some sort of weird karaoke. He's singing flat for starters. He's got zero energy. He looks so selfconcious. And he's telling the audience they should be standing up. If you need to tell your audience they should be standing up, then obviously they aren't feeling it. Watched about half of this and stopped, as it's ruining my beautiful memories. I'll stick with his first time around music and video. Sorry.

Although I've never heard this version before, it's bringing very fond memories of trekking around the UK in late 87 for copious TJ/HR gigs 😀 and a very drunken/ill me at an HR gig directly afterwards at the old Marquee on Wardour Street. Fun times.
