I swear to God that I remember an ending scene for Shrek that shows the characters singing and there's a cut to Farquad in the Dragons' stomach singing "staying alive".
I remember that too
Yeah he had a torch lit and everything 😂
YES! I had forgotten what the song was, but I remembered he sang during the credits from in her stomach. Which means it took him a REALLY long time to die.
That was in the shrek swamp sing along as well
@@kittymagica6408 Staying alive by the Bee Gees
Also @Patterz 13:07 dragons like the Red Death DO have fire resistance but it only applies to the scales on the outside, not the inside
2:11 Something that the narrator of the original video completely missed, Kai actually DID take Tai Lung’s chi in the spirit realm. Although Kai and Tai Ling’s interaction was never formally mentioned in the movie and Kai never summoned Tai Ling to fight on his behalf when Kai returned to the world of the living, you can see Tai Lung’s jaded chi charm amongst the others on Kai’s belt during the movie. It’s more of a blink and you’ll miss it type of reference, but it is most definitely there.
"HUMPTY HAD A GREAT FALL 😭" that emotional delivery from Patt is slaying me omg
I would have thought that the Pharaoh from Prince of Egypt had a worser death since he literally had plagues attack his city and then he died via drowning.
Don't forget people, the animators who messed up on Prince of Egypt had to work on Shrek as "punishment".
And that punishment even had a name “to be Shreked”.
Ramses didn’t die. He was left alive and alone. Which kind of makes it worse
Fun fact about that story in the bible, God tells Moses multiple times to go to the pharaoh. But everytime God also tells Moses that God will harden the Pharaohs heart, so that the pharaoh will not listen to Moses.
The Kung Fu Panda trilogy is unironically amazing.
“Do ants take fall damage?” Pat’s out here asking the important questions
Also my favourite dreamworks movie is definitely princes of Egypt
Insects can take fall damage, though it depends on how small it is and the height from which it falls.
something the list didn't include was the fact that Farquaad's "death" didn't happen in the first movie (you can still see him alive in the stomach during the pre-credits sing-along scene), but with the Shrek 4-D ride (yes, a theme park ride), he was a ghost, so he did eventually die
While shrek forever after didn't have the actual main villain rumplestiltskin die, during the end credits fiona sang to his pet goose, forcing it to blow up in front of him while everyone else cheered and laughed around him, he was then later forced to dance without even having time to process his pets death. While a goose isn't as impactful, it's still pretty messed up.
"can ants even take fall dmg? Like in real life" I can't... I'm laughing so hard
11:51 Dragons are people too, they have feelings.
If I had to choose a singular DreamWorks movie that’s my favourite, it might be Megamind. It’s so funny. If I could choose a franchise, it’d be Kung Fu Panda. All three of them are amazing imo.
But I feel like DreamWorks has a bunch of great movies in their catalogue. It’s a shame they’ve been bad for so long.
What do you mean bad?
@@louisvanwouw7022 I guess I mean that after The Rise of the Guardians pretty much every movie afterwards was mediocre. Trolls, Boss Baby, etc. They weren't AWFUL, but to me it definitely felt like a downgrade compared to their earlier movies.
I've heard The Bad Guys were pretty alright though, so maybe they're going back to their glory days soon :3
The sequel movies were amazing in the cases of say HTTYD or KFP. But Trolls is very meh. Especially the villains. Look at the villains of many of DreamWorks franchises. Lord Farquaad, Fairy Godmother, Rumpelstiltskin, Tai Lung, Shen, Kai, Grimmel, Drago, Red Death, hell even Prince Charming in Shrek 2. They have so much character to them and demand authority and presence.
In How to Train your Dragon(movies and tv series) ,Dragons have a hide that is fire resistant but not the inner parts of itself,so yeah, very brutal death to the Red Calamity
I absolutely LOVE all the how to train your dragon movies
Heights are one of my greatest fears.
I like how he asks if any protags in these movies have killed their antags while on the sequel to the movie where Po dusted the villain which was shown earlier lol
My favorite DreamWorks franchise is How to train your dragon by a lightyear!!!!
Grew up with it, love it, and is why I love dragons
Bro I'm so excited for this study session
11:53 TAKE THAT BACK MY BOY TOOTHLESS HAS STRONGER FEELINGS THAN MOST HUMANS
I’m surprised for this! But yeah I saw this series for a long time!
I love these videos
Patt, I missed you, I couldn't see your videos for 3 weeks, i had exams, exams are shit, I was sad, love your videos and I am scared of heights
my favorit Dreamworks movie is "How to train a dragon" the original
I love your videos
7:00 not sure if I’m commenting this before he realizes, but that’s king fu panda 1, which was on this list earlier lol
I have a HUGE fear of heights like I can't stand the thought of being 1,000 or more feet in the air
How to Train your Dragon 2 is my favorite Dreamworks movie.
Trolls is pretty good. I grew up with the Smurfs and Trolls reminded
me of it a lot.
Looking at Disney villains, the only ones who died due directly from actions taken by the protagonist(s) are Maleficent, Ursula, and Shan Yu. All others died from their own pride, arrogance, greed or perilous predicament they put themself in.
It's very common for villains to die this way.
General Mandible: Killed by falling on a thick root
Lord Farquaad: Eaten by Dragon and digested alive
Fairy Godmother: Explodes into oblivion and turns to bubbles
Prince Charming: Crushed by tower
Red Death: Is ignited on the inside and dies from impact and explodes
Drago Bludvist: Drowns
Grimmel the Grisly: Falls into the ocean
Chef and Creek: Eaten by hill monster
Tai Lung: Explodes and is sent to spirit realm
Shen: Crushed by cannon and is obliterated by the following explosion
Kai: Explodes and is blasted into oblivion by Po's chi
"Favorite Dreamworks film and you can't say Shrek"
Shrek 2
favorite Dreamworks movie would be any of the How To Train Your Dragon movies
You'd actually be crushed in the mechanical movements of the esophagus while it drags you down into the stomach. So,yeah,so much worse
0:34 - 0:40 you get what you deseve joker (just in case if he remove it remem ber future me?)
In the actual musical, (like the live action in a play type) Quasimodo hurtles Frollo off the roof, (Hunchback of Notre Dame) you can consider that as counting.
Thats Disney, not dreamworks.
@@TheUltimateShade667 but that’s the thing, Patterrz said Disney death like 20 times in that section, not dreamworks
11:54 ... I'm gonna bury all of your left shoes.
The Road to El Dorado is my favorite DreamWorks film other than Shrek, I think.
If I had to pick a favorite dreamworks film besides shrek I'd choose shrek 2.
It's got the better plot anyway
favorite dream works movie how to train a dragon 2 to be specific
i heard monsters vs aliens and i was like right there thats my favorite
Kung fu panda 2 is not only the best dreamworks movies, but one of the best animated movies ever (imo)
my favourite dreamworks film is how to train the dragon. if i had to choose from the 1st 2nd and the 3rd film i would choose the 2nd one
Hey! I write a lot of scripts for Wickedbinge and it's subsidiary channels (1upBinge and OtakuBinge mostly)! I'm surprised to see someone reacting to them! Although this isn't one of mine it's still fun to see.
They’re really fun videos :D
@@MorePatterrz I have to agree, even The ones I haven't written are fun ones
For me, if we’re talking straight animated, Megamind. But if there’s no restrictions, Small Soldiers.
1. Yes, im afraid of heights
2. My favorite dreamworks movie is how to train your dragon 1.
3. Yes, dragons have some fire immunity on the outside, not the inside.
I never noticed that you can see Humpty Dumpty’s shell and hat beside the golden egg! I’m sure he’s fine
8:21 Yes, unfortunately we are the bad guys and we should change.
I love the how to train your Dragon series
They have fire resistance, but not on the inside
Mega mind and Antz are pretty good
Kung fu panda 2 is great tho
Favorite DreamWorks movie is the third How to Train Your Dragon movie
spoiler below
Its the only one with a realistic ending that's not just all happiness and sunshine. It really hits you in the feels
It was so childish and rushed tho
I'm scared of heights too
Late to the punch, but my favorite Dreamworks movie is Kung Fu Panda 2 hands down. Just as funny as the first movie, but adds it in with an extra layer of drama that is not tryhard by any means, and perfectly constructs a brilliant story and lore for a kung fu movie, and Lord Shen is one of their greatest villains by far! I love everything about it!
My favorite DreamWorks movie is Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron.
Favorite dreamworks film?
Easily How to Train your Dragon Trilogy followed by Spirit and El Dorado
My favorites are The Road to El Dorado and Shrek 2
1- they didn't mention the prince of egypt and the plagues at all, it is implied at the end of the movie that the priests died from their boils and sickness because at the end of the film we don't see them with the pharoah and his armies, who of course are drowned by the sea coming back together denying them the ability to cross.
2- While Not a villain but, the prisoner from Joseph King of Dreams. The criminal Joseph meets at first in the prison was supposed to be put to death, what we don't see is the method in which this was done which historically was brutal even if you don't believe this tale happened religously.
3- No mentions of Sinbad (Not a villain but I imagine that having your skin worn by a goddess is pretty bad)
Favorite Dreamworks movie has to How To Train Your Dragon. No rhyme or reason, I just love it.
I’m SCARED SCARED of heights
Yeah heights are the worst. I definitely agree
7:57 creak didn't die, he's in the animated show.😅😅😅
4:06
No they actually changed it in the latest update.
When patters say does are there times the protagonist kills on purpose there are mercy kills
Mulan kills her movies villain with a big fireworks explosion
1:37 then again... He aint really dead... unless he would truly die in the 4th movie, guess we'll find out in a month from now.
I mean you saw that Po intentionally killed two of his three villains
Tai Lung Got Killed By A Fat Panda R.I.P
Not just a Fat Panda, but _The_ Fat Panda!
I'm 10 months late but aside from Shrek, I love the Madagascar movies
I like Megamind but nobody dies in that one
Ants can only take fall damage from orbit.
As in burning up in the atmosphere
fun fact the voice of lord shen is also the voice of lord vortech from lego dimentions
Gary Oldman is the best voice actor
@@catalyst539 YEP
Shrek. Nobody tells me I can't say Shrek.
Im NOT scared of heights, just from falling.
I’m scared of heights
Favorite DreamWorks movie?
MEGAMIND! Incredibly handsome criminal genius and master of all villainy!
I’m afraid of heights
No, I’m not afraid of heights
Very scared of heights
6:50 I think we did have those type of kid movies where protagonist kills the villian on purpose, we would have way more messed up people on this planet
It’s also just a general story writing thing. We can’t have our heroic protagonist slay the villain lest they be an actual incarnation of evil. It would ruin their development as a hero. This is why villains are often imprisoned or killed off by other villains. Think Scar being eaten by the Hyenas and not Simba or Darth Vader killing Sidious rather than Luke doing it.
@@itsturniptime3699 There are a few exceptions, though, with Disney. Sleeping Beauty and Little Mermaid had the Princes dispatch the villain. Princess and the Frog might count, as in Tiana was an active reason as to why Facilier got dragged off by the shadow friends by breaking his power source. Oh, and Wreck It Ralph definitely caused the villain death by triggering something that purifies the CyBugs when the villain was assimilated by one.
@@karlthorkildson4650 not sure about the first two though I thought the dude in Lil Mermaid drove a ship into kaiju Ursala which counts. Dr. Facilier was dragged to hell by his friends on the other side and while yes, Tiana was the overall cause for it, she didn’t deal the killing blow, merely set up for someone else to do the job for her. As for King Candy, he was technically killed by the giant bug which then gained his attributes, but is not the same entity as far as I’m aware. The bugs appear to be a hivemind similar to Xenomorphs and so can’t exactly be considered good or justified and are more like giant beasts rather than thinking individuals so killing it would probably be fine.
@@itsturniptime3699 With Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty, it was a team effort. The three fairies, which were really the main characters in that version, enchanted the Prince's sword so it would home in on her heart when he threw it.
13:07 the dragon is called the green death not the red death
it is red death
Terrorfed of hights
What if after the fairy god mother turned into bubbles they were all sentiant like oogie boogiea bugs and qhen a bubble popped it would hurt and kill apart of the fairy god mother
I like all dreamworks movies and their franchaises but my favourite has to be the Kung fu panda franchaise
My favourite dream works film is king fu panda
Well since I can't use shrek I choose how to train your dragon
But after that Road to Eldorado
I'm just scared of anything that can kill me so I'm scared of heights because I can die
Sorry pat im still going to say shrek lol
Creek didn’t die he appears in the trolls tv show they made after the movie.
How to train ur dragon
My fav is Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2
Kung Fu Panda 2 is my favourite dreamworks movie.
React to clone wars deaths
Ants don’t take fall damage
My favourite Dreamworls film?
Shr- not Shrek? Ok uhm
Shrek 2 😏
In road to el Dorado the two protagonists not only push the villain down a cliff, but when he survives they make it so he is arrested by Spanish conquistadors.
Which is arguably worse than death
Wait so you haven't seen How To Train Your Dragon but you've seen Saw V???
Edit @ 7:46- Nevermind, makes sense
Kung fu panda 2 is one of the best ones
I hate heights
I hate heights Sadge
