When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must hilariously try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hopes of becoming a family. It's actually pretty cool. My family fosters children. There are quite a few troubles, as the children have usually been through quite a lot of awful stuff. But it's all really worth it in the end because you make a huge impact in the children's lives.

I was definitely only expecting some rose-colored, superficial version of what it's like, with clasic ridiculous problems made all better by a little bit of love. It was so much more realistic than I expected!
Showing how hard it is, for the kids and the parents, how messed up many kids have gotten, how so many of the problems are going to haunt them forever, and why it's still truly worth it.
It's a comedy show and i cried , such an amazing movie they should make it a series

Hopefully the director knew that he had a master of accents on set and made ample use of his talents.
This movie made me laugh hysterically and cry like a baby. Literally, my tears keeps on flowing. Perfect movie to watch, made me realize how important family in our lives. Thank you for the rollercoaster of emotions. Loved every second of the movie.

If you ever adopted children out of a foster care system, this movie is for you. You will see your life on screen as we did. Absolutely loved it, and great casting. Loved seeing Joan Cusack.

I’m not adopted but i have absentee parents and been passed around to relatives growing up, so this movie made me feel all emotions.
This trailer doesn't even do justice to the movie. I recommend everyone to watch it. So pure and heart-warming.

Just watched again, I cried so hard, also one of the most replayable movies ever.
One of the best movies of our times. It talks about both the good and the bad sides of adoption and why we should adopt kids. Seriously it was worth it.

Amazing movie, making feel someone included is a big value and virtue. I believe movies like this really opens a window of understanding that how much we can do by making a room inside. I loved the emotional connection with comedy.
My husband and I have been together since 2006. We've considered finding a surrogate. But after watching this, we've decided to adopt up to 3 kids between the ages of 5-8 in a few years after paying off our house. I'll be 40 then. 😇❤️
I was hesitant to spend money to see this movie but then I decided to just, try it out. I pulled my jeans up high and tight and much to my surprise within 4 strokes I was loving this movie. Bunz is the water champ, the personality champ, and now the big budget movie champ!

This was such a great movie! I was afraid that all the best parts were used in the trailer but after reading that it was based on a true story I knew it was going to be heartfelt and had potential to make me feel good. So great, really!!! I love this movie and all the people portrayed and all the actors who made up the cast. I recently saw Father Hood and The Secret: Dare to Dream; Hands down, this movie blew those away.

This was a really special movie , my heart is completely touched , I never cried in a comedy movie before but the fact that this was so realistic and so many people out there are without a family breaks my heart , it isn’t their fault , everyone deserve to be loved and to be in love , Iam completely speechless and definitely recommend this masterpiece to anyone doubting , my heart is warmed

Best movie. Emotional yet definitely worth it. Instant family is a movie with the ups and downs of reality. We watch as a couple go through memories and emotions with dealing with adopted children. Instant family gives its audience a perspective view of how orphans and foster parents go through life and how they feel as characters. If you love heart warming movies I highly recommend this one. Not only is Instant family filled with drama and emotions, it has its comedy too. So go ahead and watch it!!!!
