I love me some smoked BBQ! So naturally I was excited to unbox the Traeger Ironwood 885 in this video. Traeger is well know for being one of the leaders in the pellet smoker world and rightly so. First impressions of the Taeger Ironwood 885 hold up to the good things I have heard about the Taeger brand. In this one we are only unboxing the Ironwood 885 and getting a first look. A full review is planned to go deeper into the Traeger Ironwood once we get some smokes under our belt with this beast! Hope you guys enjoy!

New espresso machine and a new smoker, Christmas has come early. Good to see our boy is back in action.
love my IW 885. Cook in snowstorms, rain, hail, you name it. perfect for Colorado mountains
Jeremy...please share your whole process of smoking in future videos as well as your recipe. So we can learn from you!!! Cheers on your new smoker!
We've had our Traeger for years and absolutely love it. No issues at all, from smoking meats to cooking a pizza. It's a beast!
Pizza ….. really. I known this video is older. And so am I. But a pizza really ! Let me know….
I got an early Fathers day gift. A Master Built Gravity Series, I am loving it and it uses charcoal with the option to utilize wood . Never used a pellet smoker, same concept in the Gravity Series though set it and forget it.
Traeger's are awesome, I bought one in the dead of winter this year on sale. Best investment in a while. I still like charcoal, and want to add a stick burner to the collection, but you can't beat a Traeger. You aren't kidding about the babysitting of other grills, pellets are so convenient.
I did it by myself by the way, because manly man. Cool brother, you're going to enjoy the wifi features too. Welcome to the Harley Davidson of grills, where the accessories cost a billion.
Edit: I haven't commented in a while, I'm sorry about your loss. I never commented on that video. My condolences.
Brands that pay attention to detail - hell yes. You practice what you preach too. Transitions, music, sound and graphics are always on point with you, never a letter out of place. Keep it up. 🤜
Been rocking a pro 34 for 5 years now. Best purchase ever!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's used a torch to light my cigar. Good stuff man.
Brisket, Whiskey and Cigars man you are living the life my dude! I'm living vicariously through your videos since I quit smoking and drinking to lose some weight. Looking forward to the full review, the Traeger has been on my radar for awhile.
I’ve got a Blackstone gas griddle, Traeger, and a electric wood chip smoker. I love having all three, cool burgers on the griddle, smoke some stiffed jalapeño on the Traeger.
Love cooking bbq on my 55gal UDS every weekend...First time I've seen you bbq and a brisket ......Great Video...Cheers Brotha
Fable Fourth Prime and brisket! Love it. Another great video.
Brisket & whisky is a match made in heaven! Looking forward to more BBQ videos in the future.
FYI, the Traeger makes the best chicken wings ever. Toss them in rub + corn starch, refrigerate a few hours, throw them on the Traeger on High, and forget about them for 45 minutes, toss in wing sauce, and enjoy.
Thumbs up for Teen wolf reference, cooking a brisket, and using the phrase "sticky shit".
Been looking to get a smoker.
Was between treager & pit boss.
Just narrowed it down
Thanks Jeremy
" I damn near blew my gooch out" I almost spit my water all over my laptop on that one!
Great review Jeremy. As usual outstanding editing and audio. You inspire me to make my channel better every time I watch one of yours. Thanks.
Appreciate ya brotha! Keep after it! 😉👍🏻
Brisket, cigar, and bourbon! Yes.
Damn BOTL! That 885 is looking good! Nearly bought that 2 years ago but swung for the fences with the Timberline 1300. Now you'll need to make a Smokin' and Smokin' video. Get Brisket or pork shoulder going and smoke a few going over the cook and cigars. I know I have a few over a long cook. Thanks for the video man!
Jeremy, you sir are my BBQ hero!
Man you should show how you prepare your brisket more in a video, cause that looked amazing.
First off.. I Love your channel! Great work and keep it up! We do competition bbq, now we use custom built drum smokers we made, but I know a lot of people using Traegers, as well as the Ironwood series. They hold their own on the competition trail as well as the backyard! Enjoy and keep the smoke rolling!
I like Treagers, they put pellet smokers on the map for sure, but I've upgraded to a CampChef Woodwind 36. Don't get me wrong, Treager can smoke em with the best of them, but all the shortcomings the Treager my CampChef Woodwind makes up for it. I've got mine setup with a sear box on the side.
I love my 600lb Lone Star Grillz stick burner, but fully encourage using any smoker that helps someone make good BBQ. Take a look at adding a smoke tube to your Traeger to help add to the smoke ring. Do more of these videos.
More smoker cook videos coming 😉👍🏻
I want one of those grills so badly. Rogan can’t stop taking about them. Once Jeremy puts his stamp of approval though it’s a must buy!
Can’t believe there isn’t a comment freaking out about you lighting a cigar with a propane torch..🤣 cheers to another great video brotha!🥃
My friend actually did some of their marketing photography. I've been wanting one of these.
Just put one of these together with my neighbor… easy… and love the beer recommendations in the instructions
I like developing the skill of an old school offset smoker. I love babysitting the thing. I honestly question whether I like the process of BBQ more than the actual BBQ - I might! But someday I'll probably have a pellet smoker...
I love my Brio, I have the older option but I don’t think I’d ever upgrade. Two years and the battery is still amazing. When I moved I forgot my charger at my parents. 7 months before it needed another charge!
Seriously man, the battery in those things are nuts! 😃
I always thought smokers looked kind of hideous but that Traeger is really nice
I know this may seem unrelated but here goes. When you use a key light how bright do you set it? I'm working on getting my lighting right and just can't find a happy medium when color grading.
Welcome to the Traeger family bro. Love mine.
Just got the same smoker. Can’t wait for its maiden run!
This video paired nicely with a Paul Stulac Privada Limitada.
Great stick! 👍🏻
I am moving into my new house in a few months and been looking at grills and ill be honest I was highly considering the Traeger before this video and now its a done deal great video
Loved it, just subbed. A mate watches you and put me onto your channel due to this video. Mentioning Traeger have a beer guide in their instructions (which I feel is cool) as I use a beer timer for all my cooks on my channel. Love the content, I have some watching to do.
Love my Traeger, much smaller than yours but do love it ... also brisket, totally my favorite. 👍
I've been learning on a little bullet like smoker. Sort of an old, so-so model. Folks had it. Dad hates charcoal and said I could go wild with it and gave it to me. So far I've done chicken, pork loin, chuck roast, and several other things but haven't had the confidence to do brisket yet. Perhaps this summer might be the time. I would love to see any tips and tricks in future videos my man. Thanks for the content
I've been grilling and smoking on that same Pit Boss for a few years now (agreed great starter pellet grill!), been thinking it was time for an upgrade soon.... maybe I'll be doing some shopping later...
This video paired quite nicely with some Jameson Black Barrel
That smoker looks nice but god damn that brisket look so good! Crisp video had me drooling 🤤
Great videos brother. I always enjoy the stuff you put out.
Great break in cycle, keep on keepin on...
Props Mr. Siers. Well done on the Brisket. Salt and Pepper????? Can't wait for future cooks. Maybe a Meat, Bourbon, Cigar pairing?
Oh yeah! You betcha! It’s all about the pellets, did you download the app?? Haha nice video Jeremy always great content
love your vids man! Cheers from Brazil!
Great way to start a Sunday with a cup of coffee and your video. I've been eyeing a Tr3 how about a video on it?
I swear u make me buy shit I didn’t know I needed... thanks again brotha! My wife hates u for making me buy everything, but dammit it feels good to buy new fun shit! Take care! #BackTheBlue
It does doesn’t it!! Also, don’t worry, I drive my wife nuts also! 😜😂
@@JeremySiers on another note, haven’t been able to buy a para 2 or 3 anywhere online or here in Texas, u got any suggestions? Been looking for little over a year and a half. Couple of my brothers in blue watch ur videos on break with me and we all want one! Let me know brotha!
Lol, Jeremy your video Awesome! I just sold my Traegar 572; my T-885 will be delivered 2morra, looking forward to break it in with a couple of slabs of beef ribs. Thanx for video; has me even more excited to get my grill together👍
Great video as ever, just got in from building garden furniture all afternoon, going to reward myself with a 21 year old single malt, great Pellet Grill by the way
We are in the process of building our forever home... you are definitely helping with the ideas for what we getting when it is all finished! LoL
I just got a new Pit Boss and I'm in love with it. I'm in Texas so brisket is my jam 😅
I’ve had my Ironwood 885 for one year and I love it!
Got me wanting brisket for breakfast 🔥
Your channel has officially become my go to for all. You literally cover everything I’m in to minus firearms but I do remember you saying you’re into them you just don’t cover them which is totally understandable. Man thanks so much, oh yea I as well am trying to get my wife in whiskey. Got her some moonshine and it’s helping a bit.
The brisket looked amazing 😋😋 and topped off with a good cigar and coffee 👌🏽
Love the videos!! Any update as to when the office tour will be out?!
Hell yeah man! 🤘🏼 can’t wait for more bbq vids
Great video. Have you seen Rec Teq grills? I have a couple and really enjoy cooking on them. You may want to try the bullseye. It's a pellet grill that can get high temperature. Thanks again for the video.
Congrats on the new grill, you can never have too many grills! I hope your gooch is okay!
“If you’re a biiiitccchhhh!!!!” 😜🤪😂😂😂😂😂
I think I pulled a hammy watching you move that beast.
Jeremy, I just went in the opposite direction and haven’t looked back. I started with a rec tec 680 and learned a lot about bbq on that pellet smoker, but I never could get the bark and rich flavor of smoke like my buddies could on their offsets. I just sold my pellet smoker and bought a horizon offset smoker to learn how to manage a fire and work this style of cooking.
You being a man of taste would probably like the smoker I’m seeking to graduate to. WORKHORSE PITS, the owner has a similar swag and style you have as well as a passion for what he does. I think you should check them out. As always here is to a cheers and long ashes.
Wow, those Workhorse smokers do look sweet. Gonna have to check those bad boys out. Thanks for the heads up. 😉👍🏻
Ahhhh meat sweats. Awesome grill and that brisket looked incredible
Looking forward to the smoking meat episodes. Getting my Treager this Fathers Day.
Nice man!!! You’re gonna love it!
@@JeremySiers you plan on showing some of your seasoning meat prep skills in some episodes? I know it's not a cooking show, but a basic prep and then a good cigar and whiskey after pairing. I'm sure others would be interested too.
Keep grinding man your videos are amazing !
That’s a great smoker but I’ve got an older version without the Wifi. You honestly don’t need the wifi version when it’s built as a set and forget rig.
Just got my new Ironwood 885 a few days ago and so glad I stumbled on to this video. Awesome info and your brisket looked great. Your sense of humor is what sets you apart. Yep, no doubt a ‘gar and a whiskey is in order after that meal. Curious as I to what flavor Traeger pellets you used for the brisket. They threw in a bag of cherry with my smoker.
Liked and Subscribed 👍
That Tr-3 just feels good in the hand too doesn’t it. Carried mine today. And I’ve been back and forth on treager, but I think I just need to cook with it a couple of times and feel it out to appreciate it personally.
Damn good smoker. Looking forward to the next whiskey knife fight.
Rocket espresso? Nice choice. Just got a profitec pro 500 and looking at this same traeger!
Teen Wolf is one of my childhood favorites. I've seen it about 100 times
Meat sweats are a real thing. Experienced them more than a few times. Now I’m gonna have to buy a one you bastard🤣😂
Alright! I’m swayed towards Traeger. I look forward to the full review.
Awesome smoker! I've been looking into getting one myself. Still waiting on the video about how you set up the ventilation for the cigar room though...
Love my pellet grill. One of best things ever made
So great right!
@@JeremySiers. Oh absolutely
Awesome episode as always. Nothing better than good whiskey to cure the meat sweats brother LOL looking forward to the deep dive review
Love the knife beard and grill never can get tired of those
Jeremy gets the thumbs up before I even watch, always awesome content!
“I suspect that’s just if you’re a BITCH THO”😂😂😂😂loved that. Good stuff as always Jeremy
I'm glad to see I'm not the only Neanderthal that lights a cigar with a PROPER propane torch!
Haha works great!
I’m a newbie.. just picked up the same one.
Those Ironwoods are beautiful.... but have you seen the Timberline?
Now those are next level.
Got interested in that Traeger. Went to the site... got some heavy sticker shock. Lol. Guess not anytime in my future. Oh well. Those magnets on the advertising sheets are pretty smart.
Traeger will never get the same results as an offset ( not even close) but I love my Traeger. You can make great BBQ with them.
Question Jermery, do you follow KCBS (Kansas City Barbecue Association) or FBA (Florida Barbecue Association) rules for your cooks?
Another great video! Unfortunately we can't have a smoker on our apartment terrace, but I get my fill with videos like this. [It also doesn't help that brisket costs about 4 Swiss Francs/100g! (Around $4/3.5 ounce!) in Switzerland!]
You should do a detailed video on how you do brisket!
This Traeger is awesome! I was playing with the magnet labels at the one I saw in the store :)
I have the same Pitt Boss you did, it was great for the first couple of years after that, I have had to replace shit pieces every year. I think it may be time for an upgrade.
just got this smoker!!!! im curious how did you smoke the brisket??
Love the rocks glasses. Where can I find them?
We need more cigar reviews
I remember looking at a Traeger at Costco... a couple days later I had a shit ton of ads for Traeger grills and smokers... I've never searched for smokers or grills... it was fucking creepy... lol
Love your videos man.
ACE assembles and delivers...just saying. :)
I love my 885.
Happy Saturday brother
Now I’m hungry. Lol. Another great video.
Teen Wolf...Yeah you Dated...But that's cool I dig it👊
Got my cigar and whiskey I’m ready to watch what u have new for us brother ✊🏾
Doing the same as I watch.
Sipping on some Jack Daniels Single Barrel Barrel Proof and smoking a Liga Privada T52. What you sipping on and smoking brother?
@@dragland7268 a rocky Patel Habano and a paddle Ford creek
Like to have a good cigar...
Sounds like a good pairing. That Habano looks like a winner. Cheers brother.
