    Giving her the picture instead of just having the words written down is such a great touch.

    The paint was a special acrylic embedded with nano-technology that rearranged itself through AI into a picture to correspond with the volunteer's free choice selections...OR... Mr. Mobley's power of suggestion is subliminal and phenomenal and only truly detectable to P&T...OR...just got lucky several times in a row. Loved it. Great performance!

    I’m thinking there were sounds fed into the monitors on the floor facing her, like a pig, rain, train, piano right before each question. If that's the case, he's playing with fire cause that's relying on the sound guy to get that just loud enough so only she hears and not anyone else... but this makes the most sense to me, as someone who's mixed lived show audio.

    • @JadesOfGrey
      @JadesOfGrey Рік тому +3

      It’s also risky because just because she hears the sounds doesn’t mean she has to pick those answers. She could try to mess with him and pick totally opposite stuff

    Good act, part of the brilliance of this is the wording like questions that specifically say “playing with”. This way, when she says piano, no one would really expect to be playing “with” a piano rather playing a piano. probably people were imagining a yo-yo or something. It is super simple in general I’m not sure exactly which direct method was used. But if you consider each one of those items has a very quick and extremely distinct noise it makes to identify it. It’s super simple. Still really great performance.🎉

    My only guess is she is hearing a different story than the audience so her answers are very obvious. Like it could like “what animal goes oink” or something like that. Not that exactly but somehow she’s hearing him ask questions that we don’t hear. Maybe the mic is getting muted.

    I thought it would be scribbled words on the board, and then it is a painting, and she gets to take it with her, so it cannot be gimmicked. If she really had a free choice of words I cannot see how this was done, no clue, other than magic.

    "Give a one word answer, based on YOUR EXPERIENCE."
    I think he happily, and maybe a tiny bit luckily, got an audience member who would "go with the flow" to one degree or another.

    I still don't get the Sam Harris thing. She said pig. I would've said squirrel, clear skies, space shuttle, Iphone and the trick wouldn't have worked. How exactly did he get her to say pig, rain, spider playing a piano?

    The best guess in the comments is that there were sounds next to the girl to make her think about specific things, but I think it would be too risky. For example, hearing the rain she could have said that the weather was foggy or cloudy.. or hearing a pig she could have said "boar" with a just a bit of fantasy.. so I'd say she had headphones with a different speech going on with different questions and he was very good at timing. Anyway nice trick, but the first time I saw this video I closed my eyes and imagined a turtle driving a spaceship on a cloudy day

      Audio was playing that would direct her to think about the answers that he intended. Someone could force a different response, but having pig sounds somewhere nearby (or through the chair) that are barely noticeable make it easier to blurt out, "Pig!" since she's put on the spot for every question. Knowing that you're being fed thoughts this way, you could ruin his trick, but most of the time you would feel like you came up with the idea yourself and not attempt to change your response.

    Penn's hint suggests the volunteer hears questions different from those the audience hears. It is not clear exactly how this works. But I suspect, the sentences are constructed such that similar sounding words can be substituted in key places that radically alters the meanings.
