Nice video of what it really was like to attend a Shuttle Launch. I saw one on October 1993. There were a lot less boats but the view and excitement were almost identical. We lost view of the Shuttle just before SRB Sep.
I was going to ask when this was as you don’t say , but the t-shirt and a quick google gave the answer - Oct 1998 . I was at the launch of Colombia in Aug 1989 , I was on holiday from the U.K , staying with my cousins in Mokena Illinois . We drove all the way down to Florida over a few days . We plotted up at a viewing site a mile or so away from the launchpad . It was warm enough as it was , but when that thing launched it was like someone opening the door to a blast furnace . It certainly gives you a healthy amount of respect for the boys and girls who strap themselves into those mad things !!

Looks like Port Canaveral which has changed immensely since 1998. Ill be 50 on Xmas eve, so this was half my life ago.
