Yea some of the L2 time lapses were from the prototype run that was way more OS. I would have also checked out the Axiom Defy. Says 11 speed but it has the same rim width as a Destroyer. A smidge flatter but feels amazing on forehands.
I've thrown 3 different Time Lapses from a couple different batches (none of them first run). All are VICIOUSLY overstable. No glide, no turn, and tons of fade. Something like 12, 4, 0, 4. WAAAAYYY shorter than the Zeus, Destroyer, or DD3. I can max out drivers at 450'ish, and I got the Time Lapse to MAYBE 375'. Chore to throw. Makes your arm feel like it's going to fall off. Terrible, terrible driver. IDK how Axiom dicked it up so bad. The Defy is a way better option.
Discmania Enigma (or soon DD2)! Go bravely faster with discs too and make flex shots. I surprised myself with a Gold Stiletto flying 400ft. Stiletto is not the best option though, there is Nukes, Bosses, Ballistas, Kings, etc. The benefit is they're not so scared of headwind. Then, I suggest finding domier and lighter Destroyers and Wraiths. Wild honey was mentioned, it must be domy too, otherwise it's very flippy.
I have heard that the emperors consistently fly farther than most destroyer clones but that is mainly for people that can throw them over 400. Any idea of the equivalent type of disc for 300ft arm speeds? I typically thriw about 48 mph consistently. Always looking for the farthest and glidiest versions as i need every extra inch i can get.. nit much good trying to improve my form and distance at my age (42).
I have a nice beat-in Wraith that I like a lot but new Wraiths fly nothing like it. Maybe a discmania DD would be good? And you can always improve your form, don't give up yet!
@@KyleEberdtDiscGolf yah i tried a beat in wraith once. It was an old kc 12 time wraith and the stamp was almost completely worn off it is more overstable than a newer pro destroyer i tried out. I do have a dd and i can flip that over. I use an orbit grace and it flies like the numbers for me. Just wondering if anything might go farther than that. Thanks d For the input!
442’. I personally love the Zeus. Bag 4. My flattest one is def the most flippy. Got two that are big Z pop-tops that handle headwinds pretty well. Prob fly similar to the DD3. I throw them about the same distance that Kyle throws his emperor & DD3. Surprised more Discraft pros don’t throw them.
@@KyleEberdtDiscGolf awesome let me know your thoughts. The horizons are quite stable, but nothing run with stock run s line dd3. Very consistent and easy to replace. Any specific run of emperor you would suggest for intermediate player? I remember you said distance would come and just with experience and form work I’m realizing what you mean. Enjoying the content thanks brutha
@@julianseyal My favorite Emperors are the I-Blend, especially run 16 that I throw. They are super domey and glide for days. Out of the box they are more overstable but they beat in perfectly
DD3 is a more predictable and workable Destroyer imho. DD3 can do it all tomahawk, sidearm, and backhand. It's my go to point and shoot driver. Great review, keep tossing that plastic!
Yes they do, but it is a slightly different mold than the Destroyer i believe. They also produce way less Emperors so it seems to be more consistent between runs
🚨GIVEAWAY UPDATES 🚨
The giveaway is now over and the winner has been selected! Thanks to everyone that entered! (The throw went 442')
That L2 Time Lapse is most probably from the prototype runs that were wayyy too OS. The stock production run will fly like it’s supposed to.
I hope so because that thing it's ridiculous 😂

@@hiddenleaf414- Defy is a good one. Very similar to the other discs in this vid. IDK how the Defy works and the Time Lapse doesn't. Makes no sense.

I love my time lapse I use it as a longer flying zone.

Interesting. I'd love to check out a more domey Zeus some time
I also bag dd3 as my max distance driver. You can get cloud breakers which is also a dd3 mold if you want more beef
I'll definitely try one out

For some reason that 6 claw esp plastic in every mold is so flippy its hard to find a stable one
Interesting

Thanks man!
Stock run time lapses are great. Idk if you have an early one or what but the newer ones a much more throwable and bomb
Ive heard the Lab 2nds that I have were from the prototype run. Haven't tried any of the newer runs
You should definitely try a wild honey!
426" prob just an early run on that time lapse. Looks like a faster fireball from that profile lol

gotta try a millennium scorpious too if you like domey destroyers
Thanks for the suggestion! Hadn't thought of that one
