Eating veggie can be so much cheaper than using meat. I know a cheap cut/chicken are available but the last chicken I bought from the butcher, free range and large was £19. One reason I don’t eat meat anymore. Chilli looked very good - thanks
Point very well made with a practical and tasty looking example. What's your rule of thumb around van cooking gas costs in relation to house mains/gas? From van holidays it was easy to go through the small canisters quite quickly, do you buy bigger ones to reduce cost?
I use Calor 3.9kg propane cylinders in the van ( I have 2) and one lasts for months. I only use gas for cooking as I have a diesel heater and fridge runs on electric. Last time I bought gas it was £35. I would expect to use 2 to 3 cylinders in a year so just over £100 for the year. I’m only in the van part time at the moment but if full time I would allow £200 per year absolute maximum for gas.
As mentioned in comments, can you do a similar challenge including meat ? Though NOT a veggie, I was impressed with your vlog and appreciated you sharing this. Many thanks and keep up the good work.
Love that this was a veggie meal. As a vegan van lifer it is so easy to make yummy cheap dishes!
It can be vegan if you don't use the Lidl veggie stock cube. Glad you liked the video
