Hey, is the smaller cup holder smaller than the OEM size? It kinda looks like the bigger one is OEM size & the smaller one is smaller than OEM from the outside comparison.
Great video Steve! I will consider the same upgrade. Question - mine is 2018 440i M Sport Package (not M performance). Do you know if anyone upgraded similar to M performance by BMW that would maintain warranty? I would just do engine running and replace the exhaust. Thank you!
I didn't disconnect the battery, but that's only because it's a pain to do in the convertible.i had no issues, but if you have a coupe I probably would though since it's easy enough to do. 👍
Mine is a 2105 pre-lci. Yours might be an lci model if it has a different cup holder with the sliding door. This update fits both pre-lci and lci models.

Anyway, my F33 (yes I googled what F33 means) 2016 BMW has the sliding door for the cup holder, does JD Cars offer an "ICI model' with the sliding door? Also, at the begining, you mentioned doing something before this install, what did ya do? I sorda wanna copy/cat ya. :)
Hi James! I don't believe jdcars offers one with the sliding door. The upgrade I did prior was adding wireless android auto and Apple carplay from bimmertech. It's an awesome addition, definitely one of my favorites! This link will take you to bimmertech's remote start module, but you can find the wireless android auto / Apple carplay on their site. I didn't disconnect the battery, but that's only because it's a pain to do in the convertible.i had no issues, but if you have a coupe I probably would though since it's easy enough to do. 👍
I noticed that M logo on your shift knob. Was that stock on your car, or is it add-on? I’m looking for a replacement for that very piece.

What year is your car please? Your cup holder bit is different to mine which is a late 2015
